I also heard edeoga speak and I was pleasantly surprised, however frank nweke is still way ahead for me in the way he has articulated our problems and how he will solve them. Also edeoga has not taken responsibility for his non-performance in Gburugburu's government which is a huge red flag for me. I listened to him say one can't blame enugu state govt for the state of refuse disposal because the population has increased. But that is the work of every govt, to find creative ways to use scarce resources, if they couldn't find competent persons to think out a solution, why are they even there?
christejames:

Mbah's manifesto is just words without substance just like most Nigerian politician do...

I have heard Edeoga speak and give practical solutions to some of the problems bedeviling Enugu. The man is gaining huge grounds in the state... Everywhere and almost all radio stations are singing his jingles with callers vouching for him.

That's why PDP went to court to scuttle his chances but they will still fails.

I think while the figures might not be very accurate, it is a reflection of what is on ground. More urbanized states will have higher gdp. Enugu State has failed to drive expansion of urban areas including udi, oji river, awgu. Ninth mile is stuck in limbo. No major investment into the state in almost a decade. That Nsukka-Orba-Obollo afor axis should be subject to urban planning and aggressive development initiatives esp agro processing by the govt but here we are. I believe that new University should also have been stationed in nsukka to further drive urbanization. Onitsha and ebonyi are getting federal medical centers, our law makers are no where to be found. The bad ninth mile makurdi road has reduced economic activities in that area, something akin to tourism
sonature1:

Do you people actually believe all these figures?

Why is Imo State so high up there?
What drives her economy?

The only economic stats I believe in Nigeria are IGR and federal allocations.

I loathe the ebeano peeps. I have also gone through mba's manifesto and I believe he is chasing shadows. The young man has aggregated all the political vultures who are running this state down together and if they win, I just don't know where they will leave this state. We have seen the damage ugwuanyi did. Enugu needs someone to get the basics of governance right and build infrastructure. That is exactly what Sullivan did. I also think frank nweke might be the best developmental expert in enugu's political sphere and we would be lucky to have him. Having said that, no one can fault the pinnacle oil investment in Lekki. The man's business is oil lifting. That is the arena he plays in and he may just have built it's most important facility in Nigeria. You cannot build a tank farm in the south east because oil vessels don't berth here. It is purely business, he also has one in warri I believe.
sonature1:
Is it not this man that would rather site his company in Lekki than do that in Enugu is talking about creating jobs?

Ndi Enugwu have chosen to be the fools of PDP. Even if the party brings out a frog, Enugu people will vote for it.

Why not try Frank Nweke Jr of APGA or the Labour Party candidate? Tufiakwa. Ihe a bu di ihe emere eme? undecided

If Chimaroke ain't relinquishing his senatorial seat then Edeoga or Onoh should go...

Peter Mbah is Buhari pro max... We need energetic leader.

Edeoga was commissioner of environment, I don't think he has covered himself in glory with the waste management situation in enugu presently. It's just frustrating none of the top contenders have any history of creating and managing wealth.

Stakeholders including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Enugu State Government, and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment have commended Nigerian Breweries Plc for taking the bold decision to commence civil works on the expansion of Ama Brewery in Enugu, which is estimated to cost N56billion.

The expansion project is expected to boost the brewing capacity from 2.7 million hectolitres to 4.8 billion hectolitres in the first phase and up to 6 million hectolitres in the second phase.

Obi of onitsha is king in onitsha and only onitsha. In Enugu, imo, abia, ebonyi, he is not regarded as a king and has no subjects, either over other kings or the populace, pls stop d misrepresentation. Almost each town has an eze. In Enugu, we so not know anyone by d name of obi of anywhere. Unless u mean some other kind of influence.
