Thank you for this. I included my job as my tie and the fact that I am entitled to a study leave of upto 18months hence my consideration of giving an update on it. My husband is my sponsor who also serves as a ties

Mofolam:

Personally I wouldn’t but that is just because of the way I packaged my own application. Only you can know what is best for you. If you are going to send it, I would suggest you also send a letter to explain why your company is giving you a promotion when you are planning to leave the country, considering that they could give someone else who will stay and actively contribute to the company.(I’m assuming your employer knows of ur travel plan). If I’m a VO this is a little of a grey area for me. Hence the need of an explanation

So sorry for your outcome. I wish you better luck on your next action

Spectro:

Congratulations! It has ended in praise.

Please rejoice ooo, because it is not easy.

The long wait has been rewarded.

I got a refusal though, for home ties both in Canada and Nigeria. Apparently, my ties in Canada are way more than those in Nigeria. I will order GCMS note. I may reapply or opt for the US. But US is priority right now.

I wish you all a delightful outcome in your applications. We learn every day, and some experiences are worthwhile, even though they are a bit sad. But we move!

I applied on March 11 by the way.

March folks will be getting decisions. Stay blessed.

Hello Nairalanders. I saw a ghost update on Monday indicating my eligibility has commenced. I sent a webform last week for a deffered admission to September since I couldn't meet the May one. I also just got promoted at work and I am wondering if the promotion communication can further strengthen my ties if I send it to them via a webform too. Kindly advise

Yes you can.

Thank you. I have ordered the GCMS note and getting the webform completed. Can I also get A guide to doing my medical upfront? I saw lots of people do that and it's part of the conditions given for the August 6th timeline.

Thank you once again.

1. for webform
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

2. https://www.thegcmsonline.com/
there are other sites as well for gcms..you can google them

do you know which country is processing your file? you can send webform directly to the country if you know..

Thank you, this is really helpful. But I don't know which country is handling. Can I just send it that way?

Hello everyone,

I am new here as I started following this thread few days ago. Pls I need help with some advise on what to do. I applied for my study permit 19 February with IETLS. I got the NSE mail on 25 February and I responded on March5. My bank is not on mystatement platgorm so I replied with that. I already had biometrics on their system from previous visit visa application.
My initial resumption date was May 6, 2021 but I had it deferred to September as I still await a decision on my application.

My question are
1. How do I notify them of my new resumption date
2. How do I contact them to know the status of my application. Eligibility review has not started according to my application status when I log in to check.

I've read webform, GCMS and email from the thread but I am still lost. Gurus in the house please advise and guide me.

Thanks in anticipation.

Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Chipo14: 9:29am On Sep 27, 2019
Hello people.

Please I need advise on the forward. Below is the issue summary.

I renewed my B1/2 visa via Dropbox in November 2017 and discovered I was pregnant in January 2018. I make enquiries about cost and possible hospitals. My search led me here in April 2018 and I joined the thread.

A month to my travel date I sent the intent mail and got the automated response.

At the Poe I declared child birth and vacation. The officer asked why I came a lone and told him my husband and son will come in a month. No further question was asked. I used Henrico Doctors Hospital Richmond. And total hospital cost came to about 7000.

My visa will be expiring in November and I intend travelling in December so I applied early and was refused together with my husband and son.

The VO said it wasn't documented that I declared child birth as purpose of visit and that the Csection shouldn't have costed that little even when she saw the clearance letters saying i wasnt given any govt grant. I also didn't say anything about the change of intent mail I sent at this interview cos i wasnt given the chance it was very brief.

So I want to reapply and intend presenting the mail and my itemized bill which wasnt requested at this interview.

Please any suggestion and advise will be welcomed. Thank you all
