My day old birds died as a result of the period of endsars protest..
I was devastated and I lost hope considering that it was a loan I got for the business and it's also my first time.
One day on Nairaland here, I saw an online form from the Lagos state government for victims of the protest, I just casually clicked the link and filled it without much hope that it can work..

Weeks later, I got a mail from Access Bank for an online account opened for me for the reception of the fund. But before then, I got a phone call for verification and one of their agents visited my place of business for confirmation.. asked questions, took pictures and all that..

Fast forwarded to days back, I was summoned to their office at Ikeja where I filled a form and brought my identification documents too.

After all said and done, few days ago, I got an alert from them through Access bank.
I am grateful to the Lagos state government, I am also very grateful to this great forum where every information that passes is very vital and helpful to one person or the other.
I appreciate you all. Thanks.

Good evening all.
I will go straight to the point. I am a first time poultry farmer raising broilers for th coming Christmas season.
This morning, I went to buy their feed hoping to come back early but I got stuck at heavy traffic of Ojo Alaba International market Lagos.

I ended up almost 4 hours and by the time I got home, they were already tired and dehydrated as the early morning water I gave them finished quickly, the weather too is not friendly at all, very hot.

I gave them water eventually but the system of two out of them could not adjust.. when they started kicking as they were dying, i had to use the knife.

Mr Noel of this forum is my coach and he taught me well, I appreciate. He told me that anytime I am going far and not sure of coming back early, that I should put glucose in their water in case it finishes, then the glucose will help sustain them till I return..

I feel sad but its well and I thank God. Lesson learnt for me too to always keep them hydrated all the time. They are 7 weeks today and weigh 2.6KG...

I told him that it has to be done in our compound so I can be observing, he said he will do it in his workshop plus I go work every day. He brought it this morning

bro trust me, its normal to face challenges. I've also been in your shoes since 2016. and even till now, it hasnt gotten better. but last year, I just had to stop brooding over my life, cos I started getting on constant. I started becoming lean and people started asking what's up. the only remedy to this is to surround yourself with friends that have the same hobby as you. like me, I play video games. I have a set of friends we do play together most of the time. that way, you'll keep reliefing the stress on daily basis till it becomes. very light.
