Romance › I Am Scared Of Marriage, Advise Me Please by chocolateme(op): 11:49am On Jul 07, 2021 |
I come from a very strict background. I grew up in fear, submission and obedience to my parents, elders and relatives. I am well mannered. I have anger and temper issues but it never goes beyond sulking and crying silently to get it off my chest. I find it difficult to let go when aggravated but in trcent times, i have worked on myself so much that i channel my displeasure to free tears flowing down my cheeks after which i let go of everything.
I am always looking for excuses to run away from any form of marriage discussion whenever its comes to that, i don't give room to premarital sex. I don't know how to overcome this. When my potential suitor seems so nice and with good disposition and everything worth craving for , then i ask myself " who are these people that end up enemies suddenly and what on earth can cause someone to become so horrible that a once lovely marriage turns into chaos "
Honestly, i believe that with my tolerance level that i can manage a home and marriage but then, how can you tell that of your potential partner?
Sometimes, i just want to remain like this and grow old and still be very happy but then societal and family pressure to get married and have your own kids keeps getting higher which results to my running away more and more. To make it worse, i don't keep friends. Who knows how to overcome this and how can it be ok? |

mezico96: Though I don't really know your story but from the way you speak, U were sitting on fence in case there's any disappointment or you never loved him for who he is.
Nobody move on from such situations, you see someone commit suicide after heartI break and we begin to judge, not knowing how mentally it has affected the victim.
I remember when I was younger, I fell in love with a lady and after some years she told me that she can't continue with me cos we are not of same tribe.
It really affected me, I couldn't eat nor play my football
Its been almost 9-10 Years now but my heart still beat for her. oh my God!! Years later, you still feel for her.. that is exactly how I feel right now only a slight difference. |

pryme: You gambled, Maybe you don't realize it.
Just have this in mind, you are not the only one here sees everyday. If like you said he is well bred, then it's likely you were the only one that had his attention, maybe he may have committed to you only. But now you have given him a clean slate to look at other options, and he may find one that's even better. Chances are he may filled the void you CREATED, and I don't think he will even be the one restart to the relationship.
Next time, when it's not broken don't try to fix it. you just created a mental picture of what I was reasoning before this decision. If by now, he is gone to another, then it's ok. Atleast I am able to understand and learn from it reason it's just a few months stuff. Self control is key. I see other people too. If we are countries apart tomorrow for one reason or the other, it will help. Thanks |

Nonexistent: How many men have sued you for breaking their hearts or have you not cheated on or dumped a man before? How many men have you chopped mugu and how many of them took you to court? Vagina people will never take half of what they do to men. Ngwanu go to national assembly and tell them to enact law on heartbreak for you to sue your ex boyfriend. Nonsense lmao.. my dear calm down, from the comments here, one can deduce that it is not literal court case we are talking about here, it's just a matter of the heart. Were you expecting me to tell court judge what? Then he will be sentenced to what... lol. I really appreciate the level of matured minds on this particular posts unlike most shenanigans people always bring to most posts. Thanks dear |

adexpa: I think you needed to start talking to him on phone if you guys actually decided to keep some distance in order to know the originality of the love. I think your decision to have some break is necessary cus many relationships started like that of fish/cold water but ended like that of fish/hot water as a result of zero check and balance. Every engagements/relationships requires evaluations for validation but blindness/lust and bad emotions clouded people from thinking in that direction. I think you guys needs to review the way you have being handling d situation; maybe you change it to 3time calls a week and 1 meeting in an open place(restaurant). wow! |

instinct57vm: Speak with someone about it alot you’d get over it, don’t bottle up your emotions.
However, can u share what caused the heartbreak or what his excuses were? it was not really a heartbreak, it was a mutual decision to part ways.. said he wants to be sure to know what he really wants while I do the same. Maybe to really ascertain if eventually we are going to end up together, to be sure it's not infatuation and all that exhaberances. It seems we were choking each other. We kinda needed a break. It's not because of any woman or man. But it was a crazy decision. I am already exhausted |

Offpoint1: Lol, if there's such thing then half of the world population would have been in jail.
You first need to let me know what you missed about him most, then I'll guide you on how to get over him. 2 things actually... His parents bred him thoroughly, he is too responsible, he cautions me the same way my dad would do and later call me to talk and reason with me on the need to be firm in his actions. Secondly.. his smiles. he can actually be staring at me without saying anything for up to a minute, then suddenly, he will beam up that breathtaking reassuring smiles. Thanks |

It's been 3 months now but the feelings refused to wear off. Every attempt for distraction and positive mindedness plus deleting and blocking from all social media avenues all proved abortive.
I have observed that there is a Degree to feelings. Going to another state, sightseeing, swimming, gym, sports, movies, interactions with the opposite sex not necessarily having intimacy still did not change anything. Took a week of therapy and didn't remember him for a second. But after all said and done, here we are back to square one.
Days back,, absent mindedly stumbled upon a picture of his I never knew was there, guess what? My heart jumped into my stomach and kept beating faster, I deleted it immediately.
If there is any other thing I can do to get over this, I will do. Its really a torture and invasion in my peace if mind. Wondering if its possible to sue him for emotional unrest. I am already exhausted. |

slimcassi: Hello guys, bin a while...... Hope y'all are fine?
It's bin almost two weeks since I left home(work related issues)and I haven't seen my girls for that long, I miss them tho . I was going through some topics on NL and came across a thread, the Op of that thread asked how long it would take a dog to forget it's owners face after bin away for so long...
That got me wondering I've been away for almost two weeks now will Mira and Cindy still recognize me, I mean they're not dogs who I strongly believe will still regonize it's owner even after a month, but my girls are Chickens (does that change anything?)
So what do u guys think, will I still b recognized after two weeks or I'll just be a total stranger to Mira and Cindy. they won't forget you one bit... it's in an adage in igboland |

Oh and by the way you have a very terrible attitude I just read his or her comment and get to understand why people are in the same situation they are till today. The ability to rise up to positivity is very impossible for some people reason why they gave up in the sorry state they are and choose to verbally bring people down. Like minds will always "like and share" with them on the same lame table. |

Very cute, went to feed my birds and saw her or him flying around inside my empty chicken cage where I pack their feed. It wanted to escape but couldn't so I caught it. Feels good to hold a bird after such a very long time.. I can really really take very good care of it because I have a pet old layer chicken named Bridget, I have a Lhasa Apso called Phoebe and i also train broilers for sale which are like 7 months old now and very heavy, weighing about 4.7kg.
I think I am very qualified to keep this bird but only one thing is tugging my conscience. Is the bird not meant to be free as they always are? Will it be happy with me taking her freedom away? Does it eat well where it was before it met me or will she be happy eating more staying with me? Most importantly, do you think she has a family like babies she left somewhere to go and find food?.. I will feel sad if I let her go but it feels good to have her as a pet. Don't know what to do..

slimcassi: She's fine, Mira and Cindy are doing great.
What's up guys, glad you all saw the new month. Happy New Month. Like I said above they're all fine and doing great.
Lately I've been seeing comments like "Las las Mira go end up for pot" and somewhere up there in the pages I said "Me and Mira will prove u wrong" I want to reduce dis type of comments to the very minimum, so..........................................
See who joined the family recently (Pics below) just look at dis cuties aren't they adorable. I bought 10 of them, and by the way they're little Cockerel (just so innocent). Well for all those with d said comments, guess what? I just increased the lifetime of Mira and Cindy by 'A Very Very Long Time' (atleast that was the intention).
One more tin, we(I said we cos I would want u guys to b a part of this incase I want to name a new chick) won't be naming any of them so as not to get attached and obviously we won't be able to tell who is who wen they grow up. So no naming, sorry guys awww... so lovely |

We4all: Let me reiterate, in case you didn't understand me: "Cubana is a nonentity". If you don't know what makes someone a nonentity, then google it. in that case you are sounding childish.. everyone knows what a nonentity means even according to Google. Let me ask you again which I have done before my dear, what and what exactly makes him a nonentity since you are the one that called him a nonentity, Google will not tell you why Chief Priest is a nonentity rather it's you that should do that since you may have a personal reason for saying that aside normal internet, social media rant about people we don't know. |
Celebrities › Re: Zlatan Ibile: I Don’t Know Who DJ Cuppy Is by chocolateme(f): 10:30pm On Jan 28, 2021 |
We4all: DJ Cuppy should stop associating with miscreants and uncouth people like Zlatan and Cubana Chief Priest. If not that she is desperately trying to be everywhere all at once, I don't see why she should allow herself to be ridiculed by those two nonentities. I don't know about Zlatan but for Chief Priest, what exactly made him a nonentity? Let's be careful with our utterances? |
