See somebody calling another person fat. Chai! She looks fatter than Halima. Judging by the face i'm seeing up there, I think I prefer Halima to the hater.

Just be yourself, most importantly let th family's religious background and level of exposure guide you. Forget all those telling u to wear anything, first impression matters.
Monday to Thursday- lean towards corporate wear
Friday - simple native wear
Saturday - decent casual wear
Sunday- simple native or corporate attire.

P.S. Forget that expensive jewelry, might not be called for.

My ten kobo
Best advice so far. Thanks.

Went to meet my fiance family for the first time last week. I wore a trouser and a fitted shirt. That is what I like, I am comfortable in it, and I looked beautiful in it as well.
They welcomed me well and haven't stopped calling me since I got back.
Just wear something that suits your body and makes you comfortable.
Nice one dear. I'm thinking of going a decent ankara skirt and blouse.

Something nice ans decent. Preferably use native material even if it's English wear. Hope u understand.
Thanks dear, I understand. I prefer to go on a native attire but some say it's so not a 21st century thing to wear and meet one's in-laws.

You are such a f00l. U've just shown how myopic and unreasonable u r. I possibly believe you are one illetr8 who doesn't know the difference between forum and fora. My dear go back to school. There's nothing like forums, its called fora(plural). U just came here to show the level of your illetracy.
Can somebody please help me tell dis educated illiterate that both "forums" and "fora" can be used interchangeably. Forums is pure English, while fora is Latin. I chose to use forums, what's your headache with that. My piece of advise to you is to read voraciously next time when you want to correct somebody and avoid displaying your ignorance, all in the name of correction. U came here to display your tribal and possibly religious discrimination. U want to show you are learned? If you are really as learned as u portray yourself to be, you should know how to correctly spell "illiteracy", not the 'mess' that you wrote up there. It's a pity that both JAMB and WASSCE registration has long ended. An animal that should first remove the log of wood in his/her eyes, before removing the spectacle in one's eyes.
