AND THEY WANT US TO BE 'one niGERians?'....................... Here is the Time Magazine eyewitness account of what happened in Kano in the days preceding the declaration of the nation of Biafra by Ojukwu.

“The massacre began at the airport near the Fifth Battalion’s home city of Kano . A Lagos bound jet arrived from London and as the Kano passengers were escorted into the customs shed, a wild-eyed soldier stormed in brandishing a rifle and demanding Ina Nyamiri –the Hausa for, where are the damned Ibos?

There were Ibos among the customs officers, and they dropped their chalk and fled, only to be shot down at the terminal by other soldiers. Screaming the blood curses of a Moslem holy war, the Hausa troops turned the airport into a shambles, bayoneting Ibo workers in the bar, gunning them down in the corridors, and hauling Ibo passengers off the plane to be lined up and shot. From the airport the troops fanned out through downtown Kano hunting down Ibos in bars, hotels and on the streets.

One contingent drove their Land rovers to the railroad station where more than 100 Ibo were waiting for a train and cut them down with automatic weapon fire. The soldiers did not have to do the entire killing. They were soon joined by thousands of Hausa civilians who rampaged through the city, armed with stones, cutlasses, machetes, and home-made weapons of metal and broken glass. Crying Heathen! And Allah! the mobs and troops invaded the Sabon Gari (strangers quarters), ransacking, looting, and burning Ibo homes and stores and murdering their owners.

All night long and into the morning the massacre went on. Then tired but fulfilled, the Hausa drifted back to their homes and barracks to get some breakfast and sleep. Municipal garbage trucks were sent out to collect the dead and dump them into mass graves outside the city. The death toll will never be known, but it was at least 1,000. Somehow several Ibo survived the orgy and all had the same thought: to get out of the North.”

Another journalist, Walter Parrington of the British Daily Express had this to say:

“I do not know if there are any Ibos left in Northern Region … for if they are not dead, they must be hiding in the bush of this land which is as big as Britain and France. I saw vultures and dogs tearing at Ibo corpses and women and children wielding machetes and clubs and guns. I talked in Kaduna with the airline charter pilot who flew hundreds of Ibos to safety last week. He said ‘The death toll must be far in excess of 3,000’ … One young Englishwoman said, ‘The Hausas are carting hundreds of wounded Ibos to hospital to kill them there’. I talked to three families who fled from the bush town of Nguru , 176 miles north. They escaped in three Land rovers from the town where about fifty Ibos were murdered by mobs drunk on beer in some European shops.

Another Englishman who fled the town told of two Catholic priests running for it, the mob after them ‘I don’t know if they escaped: I didn’t wait to see. …. . A lot of the massacred Ibos are buried in mass graves outside the Moslem walls”.

“In Jos Charter pilots who have been airlifting Ibos to Eastern safety talked of at least 800 dead. In Zaria , 45 miles from Kaduna , I talked with a saffron-robed Hausa who told me: We killed about 250 here. Perhaps Allah willed it . One European saw a woman and her child slaughtered in his front garden after he had been forced to turn them away”. ....Source: Time Magazine -1967

MadamDeMadam:
Shortly after the news of a purported killing of 5 Igbo traders started making headlines, the Niger State Police Command Spokesperson, BALA ELKANA JAMES, got in touch with Ai, to refute the entire story. He spoke live to Emma Agu, on NigerianFM .
ASP Bala Elkana James, told Emma Agu how he drove to Mandala Market after reading the news on Linda Ikeji's blog. On getting to Mandala and discovering that Linda Ikeja made up the said story, he wrote Linda Ikeji to withdraw the story. He said the whole story is false and wondered where linda Ikeji and Vangaurdngr.com got such news. "The police spokesperson quoted in the said report as one who confirmed the news, is currently in another state. He left Niger State Police Command since 2014." Mr James said.

Politics / Biafra: 5 Igbos Killed For Failing To Recite Quran... by chosen04(f): 10:33am On Nov 24, 2015
IGBO TRADERS KILLED FOR FAILURE TO RECITE QURAN.............. 5 killed for failing to recite Quran
The five people believed to be Igbo traders were said to have been shot dead at Madala Market on Thursday Night between 7 – 8pm.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the yet to be identified gunmen were said to have stormed the Madala market and made straight to a shop believed to be that of some Igbo traders and ordered them to recite the Holy Quran of which they could not.
The gunmen who were not satisfied with the development opened fire on the five people at close range leaving them dead immediately.
An alarm which was raised by other traders close to the shop where the five people were killed attracted passers by who sent a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer Suleja where a detachment of armed police were drafted to the scene.
However, before the police men could arrive the spot, the gunmen had already fled, leaving their casualties in their own blood.
The five casualties were later identified as John Kalu, Oliver Ezemah, Uche Nguweze, Sunday Emmanuel while fifth casualty was yet to be identified as at the time of going to press.
The identity of the gunmen are yet to be ascertained by people of the town and even the police who have swung into investigation.
An eye witness account told our correspondent no valuables were removed from the shop of the victims after they might have been gun down which invariably confirms that the gunmen were not armed robbers but suspected to be Boko Haram sect members.
Niger State police Command spokesman ASP Richard Adamu Oguche confirmed the story but could not also ascertain the originality of the gunmen....... Source: ScanNews

Didnt they fight the war and still support the struggle till date? I have NEVER seen any veteran that is against Biafran restoration. The only adults that are against the struggle as led by Kanu are the those that didnt fight during the war.

@ Poster, we actually debated on protesting in Lagos just yesterday during our IPOB Lagos general meeting. The debate is not even whether we can protest because we will definitely be protesting...... but how to also make sure that ALL Biafra populated markets are shut down is our concern. No mind Yorobbers I know when we told them that Radio Biafra will be operational on FM in Lagos and they mouthed as usual, Is Radio Biafra not blasting on FM 89.1 fm in Lagos today?.......Its over 4 months now and they have done absolutely nothing to stop it. Not even common trying to jamm the frequency.

Biafra restoration is REAL. The biggest mistake the Zoo govt made was arresting director, Nnamdi Kanu and killing unarmed IPOB protesters. The day the first set of unarmed IPOB protesters was shot dead at Onitsha on 30th of August, 2015 was the day the voice came.............. "There is no freedom without the shedding of blood. Did you not notice that even the blood of my son JESUS was shed for the freedom that mankind is enjoying? Cry and mourn NOT! On the blood of these innocent IPOB Biafrans murdered by the Zoo govt will BIAFRA be resurrected and restored"

....I will advise you to listen again to the video clip of the WIC hear when he mentioned it live and direct that the arms are for self-defense that if we are NOT prepared that we will be over ran by the fulani herdsmen and other elements that have always taken pride in killing our people. The problem you people from the South West have is your ability to twist everybody to meet your own narrative. In 1966 it was "Igbo coup" forward to 2015 its now "Those asking for Biafra are asking for war". Was Buhari asking for war when he demanded for sel-determination for his fellow Islamic brethern of Palestine? Why would Biafrans demand for same self-determination amount war?

It's either you are naive or an outright liar.
What is Nmmadi Kanu intention for asking your fools to donate money for arms and ammunition? To have a tea party?
Why has Nnmadi Kanu NEVER mention REFERENDUM anywhere in his broadcast, FB wall, tweet or his numerous overseas meeting with Igbo unions?
If you fools suffer from collective amnesia, other Nigerians don't.
....Nnamdi Kanu only asked for arms for self-defense. The last time i check every body has right to self-defense especially against Fulani hardsmen and other evil elements that usually take pride in murdering Biafrans.

Yoruba thugs writing trash as always. How does asking for self-determination equal war? Is the self_determination that the Dullard of Daura demanded for Palestines different from the one that Biafrans are demanding from niGERia? Well! As Biafrans we must however start preparing for WAR with the Zoo. A wise man says that "If you want PEACE, then you must Prepare for WAR"...............We want PeACE but must do the needful.

The affected Nigerian villages, according to

Kparu,Monta, Dotin Kparu,Halidun Kparu,
Yakubun Kparu, Sonsi,Gunosani, Alhaji

It was learnt that the development has also led
the Okuta Emirate Council to order the people
of Yakparu axis to dismantle of the Beninoire
flag hoisted at Nigerian villages and the flag is
currently at the custody of the emirate council
in the town.
