The question I want to ask is this. Where did his wife do her antenatal? Because one of the things you get to know beforehand during antenatal is if surgery will be scheduled or not. You are even given a date where you come in and this date comes a few days before your EDD.

I know emergency surgery does happen sometimes. But it is very rare.

Let's not sugar coat anything. This man was negligent in every way assuming of course his story should be believed.

There are conditions. You don't just get to the UK and start work without work permit. If he can do cleaning job as we used to do in the 70s or any menial job. She must have document that will give her authority to work. Good luck to him. I sympathise with him
