It’s October 2019, Naira Marley is still a vanguard to the hypocritical and ‘idealist’ standards of Nigeria. Coming off the back of ‘Pxta,’ his fifth single of the year, ‘Mafo,’ his hugely anticipated collaboration with hitmaker, Young Jon finally dropped.

‘Mafo’ is a Lagos-Yoruba street language/colloquialism that means ‘don’t fret.’ ‘Fo’ is Yoruba for, ‘break’ and ‘fo’ is also a metaphor for collapsing under pressure. So, in essence, Naira Marley was telling people not to fret. In this context, Nigerians living in diaspora are the target of his message.
As a recently returned Nigerian who spent over 10 years in the UK, he could attest to the joys of living in Nigeria and what ‘home’ truly means. He tells his fellow Nigerians living in diaspora not to fret about coming back to Nigeria. In a world where the Nigerian dream is tweeting one’s love for Nigeria from an American colony, his verses were social commentary.

Standards of symbolism, poetry and storytelling definitely vary, but this is in no way dissimilar to anything Kendrick Lamar, Future or Kurtis Blow make or made. Naira Marley makes rap music and he is a rapper.

The only problem is that people didn’t listen - some don’t understand his language of delivery. For a lot of those who understand his language, their minds are set on what a rapper should be and not what a rapper is. A major problem is that a lot of these people don’t understand what a rapper is.

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT PASTOR SEINYE ACTUALLY MURDERED HIGH CHIEF (DR) O. B. LULU-BRIGGS? WHY IS SHE SO DETERMINED TO KEEP THE CORPSE AND PREVENT PROPER AUTOPSY? WHY IS SHE BENT ON DECEIVING THE PUBLIC WITH CHILDISH LIES?

Who took the remains of O. B. Lulu-Briggs to Ghana and deposited same in a mortuary in the absence of the children and family members? Seinye Lulu-Briggs did.

Who went to court stopping the children of O. B. Lulu-Briggs and other family members from accessing their father’s and son’s remains? Pastor Seinye Lulu-Briggs did.

Who hurriedly organized an autopsy without following all the lawful procedures and guidelines meant to guarantee transparency that was ordered by the court? Pastor Seinye Lulu-Briggs did.

Pastor Seinye claims that she has done an autopsy and that she is in possession of the report, but the coroners court in Ghana where she is holding her husband’s remains, ordered for an inquest because as they found out from the Ghana Police Service, the Police guidelines were not followed and no such autopsy report has ever been sighted by the police authority.

Seinye claims that preliminary autopsy report proved that High Chief died a natural death and she’s satisfied with the result, of course, a result emanating from the autopsy she supervised herself. The children and the family of HIGH CHIEF are not satisfied with that result given the obvious one-sided situation that tacitly excluded key persons and denied transparent monitoring from the opposing end.

The children and family members reserve the right to seek for a transparent autopsy; and they are emphatic about having everyone including Pastor Seinye Lulu-Briggs, tightly involved to ensure that the proper things are done.

But Seinye believes that her own autopsy and result are the genuine, if so, she should then be confident and fearless of anything, even if autopsy is conducted 100 times.

But she rather filed a “certiorari” application to stop the inquest that may further establish her claim. And the question is, WHY?

Remember, the autopsy report Seinye claims she has is a product of the order issued by the Coroner’s Court. And it was the same court that expressed dissatisfaction with the way they handled the autopsy and ordered for a fresh and guided autopsy.

But Seinye became jittery when a fresh order was issued, so, she proceeded to question the jurisdiction of the Coroner’s Court that gave the first order for an autopsy and the second order to the Ghana police for a proper autopsy?

By questioning the jurisdiction of the Coroner’s court she is effectively questioning the Order for the autopsy and the autopsy result she has since it is the same Coroner’s Court that gave the Order for the fresh autopsy.

This dodgy and evasive attitude by Pastor Seinye Lulu-Briggs and her many other unspeakable actions have ultimately given rise to the suspicions that the late High Chief may have met his untimely death at the hands of his wife.

This also reinforces the need for a more transparent autopsy that will involve everyone including Seinye to ascertain the true cause of death of the late High Chief.

Pastor Seinye was ready for burial as long as there’s no further inquest into the mysterious death of High Chief. A clause in the recent Ghana High Court order could make it impossible for the children to proceed with findings and possible legal prosecution of the culprit. Chief Dumo O. B. Lulu-Briggs appealed against that point of order.

Pastor Seinye’s ceaseless lies and spins can only make sense to those who are conspiring with her to destroy the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Family.

Release your husband’s body for burial, you refused. Coroner says your husband did not die a natural death and ordered for an inquest, you run to a High Court with a certiorori application to stop the inquest.

The same court you went to has ordered that you release the body but insisting that the report which emanated from that skewed autopsy; the one you have be submitted and that makes you happy.

What are you hiding? How did your husband’s dead body get to Ghana from Nigeria? How did you manage to take the corpse of your husband pass the Ghana Airport Police, the Ghana immigration and the Ghana airport authority?

Obviously, you breached the Ghana Security Apparatus. What have you done with the corpse of your husband that you will appeal the Ghana High Court ruling asking you to release the corpse to his family for burial.

You are hurriedly selling properties and relocating companies of your late husband. You have removed even television sets, marble ties, Furnitures etc and moving them to Unknown locations.

Naira Marley is a Nigerian street singer, who has just released his much-anticipated visuals toTesumole, a track off his recent EP entitled Lord of Lamba.

The singer took to his Twitter page to share the video on Saturday, less than two weeks after the six-track project was released.

The visuals to Tesumole opens up with Marley wearing a mask shaped like human skull while smoking away on a truck as a bevy of ladies throw frenetic dance moves.

Other songs contained in Marley’s EP are Yanyanyan featuring Mayorkun and Mafo.

The singer’s previously released single with Young John, who is a Nigerian producer.

Lil Wayne declared everything is "all goody" following a report that his private jet was searched by federal agents for guns and drugs.

Business: Bitcoin lost billions of dollars worth of valuation within a 30-minutes timeframe as a Chinese cryptocurrency scammer allegedly liquidated its steal via over-the-counter markets. The initial sell-off by PlusToken caused a domino effect, causing mass liquidations.



PlusToken, a fraud scheme that duped investors of more than $2bn, dumped huge bitcoin stockpiles

from its anonymous accounts, according to Chainalysis. The New York-based blockchain consultancy cited an internal investigation that showed PlusToken scammers on a systematic crypto liquidation spree. Some of them have been actively selling bitcoin since June – right after the cryptocurrency established a year-to-date high of circa $14,000.

It was the same period when the Chinese authorities nabbed people suspected to have been involved with the PlusToken scam.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday arraigned one Malik Wakili for allegedly impersonating the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, and defrauding the minister to the tune of N3,106, 216.

Wakili, who was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos, was said to have allegedly committed the offence in March this year.

The EFCC told Justice C.J. Aneke that Wakili conspired with one Abdullahi Umar, said to be at large, “to fraudulently impersonate Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), with intent to gain a monetary advantage for themselves.”

According to the EFCC, the defendant “converted the total sum of N3,106,216, being the value of the Air-miles Skywards Account Number EK248739282 of Mr Babatunde with the Emirate Airlines and which sum they reasonably ought to have known formed part the proceeds of their unlawful activity, to wit: fraud.”

The prosecution said Wakili acted contrary to sections 15(2)(a) and 27(1)(b) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act and was liable to be punished under sections 15(3) and 22(3)(a) of the same Act.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the three counts pressed against him.

Justice Aneke adjourned till December 17 to rule on the bail application filed on his behalf by his lawyer, Eubena Anedu.

President Donald Trump said it is "certainly possible" that Russian President Vladimir Putin could be invited to next year's Group of Seven Summit, though other member nations seemed to disapprove.

Trump's comment Sunday came after he repeatedly touted support for the move. The same day the world leaders convened at the summit in southwest France, European Council President Donald Tusk said that " under no condition " would Russia be invited.

But one day later, Trump told reporters in Biarritz that "It's certainly possible, we'll see," based on a conversation among the members that happened the previous night, according to White House pool reports.

"We had a very good discussion on Russia and President Putin, and a lively discussion, but, really, a good one," Trump said.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson agreed with the comment, and added that "It was lively."

Tusk had batted down the possibility the day before, pointing to the country's cut from the group in 2014 after its annexation of Crimea and other actions that fuel an ongoing civil war in the region.

"When Russia was invited to G-7 for the first time, it was believed that it would pursue the path of liberal democracy, rule of law, and human rights," Tusk said . "Is there anyone among us, who can say with full conviction, not out of business calculation, that Russia is on that path?"
Trump seemed to be drumming up support for the invite days before the summit, saying that it would be " appropriate " to readmit Russia to the group.

Later the same day, a senior administration official told CNN that French President Emmanuel Macron told Trump in a phone call that he supported inviting Putin,contradicting his recent public statements on the proposal .

Putin has not appeared concerned about his country's exclusion from the international meetings.

There was gun duel between soldiers and Fulani herdsmen in some communities in the troubled Guma Local Government Area of Benue State Saturday.

Report said that the suspected herdsmen had, in the early hours of Saturday attacked some military personnel who were on surveillance in local government area, killing one soldier and injuring two others.

But the Theater commander, Major General Adeyemi Yekini who confirmed that military personnel engaged herdsmen in the area said he was not aware of any casualty.

Sunday Tribune gathered that the herdsmen had ambushed the soldiers who were on surveillance of the area.

Locals told newsmen that the militia herdsmen, who were said to be heavily armed and in large numbers on sighting the military personnel of ‘Operation Whirl Stroke’, engaged them in a gun duel.

The attack was said to have caused heavy deployment of security personnel in the area to forestall further attacks on the locals who were just returning home from internally displaced persons camps after several months.

Some locals stated that two helicopters were noticed hovering in the operation camp of soldiers at LGEA Primary School, Mbabegha community for sometime before moving to the scene of the attack.

The Commander of OPWS, Major General Adeyemi, who spoke with Sunday Tribune confirmed the report but said he was yet to have any record of deaths in the battle.

“Yes, our men went on patrol along Gbajimba and encountered the herdsmen, but we have no record of death or injury yet because our troops are still on the field. However, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.”

Communities in Guma Local Government Area of the state had been attacked several times by herdsmen since the New Year day with over 500 persons reportedly killed.

A former supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, Isa Mohammed Munlaila, on Thursday began trekking to Abuja from Lagos in protest at what he called the failure of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress to provide jobs for Nigerian youths.

If you press 1, the network will appear suddenly and almost immediately go blind again (Zero Bars) and by that action, your phone is HACKED.

At the inception of his government in 2012, Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson identified cultism as one of the hydra-headed problems dragging the oil-rich state backward. His assessment was, indeed, correct.



Cultism was widespread and membership of secret cults was a thing of pride. Different cult groups sprang up and took charge of the political landscape. The state’s territories were divided and shared among notorious and influential cult associations and leaders. With clear-cut boundaries, the territories had their leaders, who must be consulted before activities, projects and programmes took place in their jurisdictions.



Cult supremacy wars were rife. Youths deployed assorted weapons, including guns, to kill and maim one another in such bloody clashes. Most times, innocent residents were cut up in cross fires. Cult members were hired as assassins and political thugs. Others made living in Bayelsa hellish as they attack innocent residents dispossessing them of their valuables and in many cases spilling their blood.



In fact, cultism created many sociopaths, who enjoyed political protection. With their flamboyant lifestyles, cultists became role models for youths. Some of them dropped out of schools to play active roles as cultists. In fact, Dickson inherited a secret cult-infested state in 2012.



Dickson’s first punch



But his administration’s move against the monster was deft, firm, strong-willed and penetrative. Mustering enough political will since he had no linkage or sympathy for cultism despite growing up in a cultic environment, the governor sought a legal framework to deal decisively with the menace.



The Secret Cult, Societies and Similar Activities Prohibition Amendment Bill was the first set of executive bills he sent to the House of Assembly for deliberations and passage. The lawmakers gave it expeditious hearing, passed it and Dickson assented to it on May 2, 2012.



At first, the vision of Dickson paid off. The law restored sanity in the state. Many cultists and their leaders went under. Some left the state. In one fell swoop, thousands of youths came out of their closets and renounced cultism. The police were also busy as they law empowered them to deal ruthlessly with cultists. Some suspects were arrested and tried and those convicted were punished within the ambit of the law.


Resurgence of the monster



However, in a dramatic twist, cult activities returned in full force shortly after the 2015 governorship elections in the state. The menace unsettled the state especially Yenagoa, the capital. Some blamed the resurgence of cultism on deliberate arming of youths by politicians during the election; hunger caused by the economic recession; unemployment, laziness and materialistic tendencies among the youths.



But others believe that there is no excuse to criminality and ask security agencies especially the police to live up to their primary constitutional responsibilities. The police have taken the battle to the cultists within the limit of their resources. The current Commissioner of Police in the state, Don Awunah, declared zero tolerance to cultism.



After profiling criminals and their activities in the state, Awunah realised that cultism is the catalyst, instigator and propeller of many violent crimes in the state. Cultism and its satanic spirit of abuse of dangerous drugs such as Tramadol, codeine, marijuana and cocaine, compel the youths to engage in armed robberies, rape, kidnapping and other violent crimes.



Through his crack team on mopping up illegal arms and his Operation Safer Bayelsa, Awunah has confronted cultists head-on. Despite his efforts, cult activities continued to threaten residents. Dickson immediately stepped in to assist the police in taming the monster.



Dickson’s second punch: the Amendment



The governor caused the anti-cultism law 2012 to be amended. Without hesitation, he signed the 2018 amended law. The new law prescribes 20-year-jail term without an option of fine for anybody convicted of cultism-related offences.



Assenting to the amended law in Government House, Dickson lamented the rise in cult and other related activities in the state, especially in Yenagoa and its environs. He stressed that, with the amendment, the law enforcement agencies had been empowered to deal decisively with suspected cultists and their sponsors.



Dickson explained that, the amendment to the law was to check the rise in cult activities among youths. He said the amendment was necessary to give the law enforcement agencies more powers to proactively protect lives and property as well as safeguard the future of the state.

I was overwhelmed with sadness when the jaundiced version presented by enemies of Nigeria took over the cyberspace last night. And more worrisome is that this fake version of the speech is being peddled by the same youths that claim to be educated and not lazy.



To be sincere, I must say at this juncture, in accordance with the jaundiced version of the speech presented to heat up the polity by the ENEMIES OF NIGERIA , that a lot of Nigerian youths are truly lazy and uneducated; otherwise, I see no reason those that claim to be educated and not lazy will delight pleasure in spreading false information without proper verification.



I need not to inform you that over 90% of information on the social media are oluwole versions (fake versions), therefore, it is a wise and wholesome behaviour to ensure we verify every information we come across before inseminating them into our brains, and consequently, redistributing them.



It is pertinent to note that every information, either real or false, is so powerful. And not just so powerful, but so powerful enough to bypass our consent and bring to us pleasant or unpleasant fortunes.



Before you proceed further to accepting every media information when they favour your views, you need to pause for a moment, meditate on the negative effects of wrong media information and use Rwanda as a case study.



Those consistently feeding you with false information are doing such to plant seed of discord and bitterness in you for their selfish, personal and political gains at your own detriment.



There is nothing wrong with being an opposition, but there is everything wrong with being a bitter opposition.



Let us apply wisdom in our criticisms and criticize with true and undying spirit of patriotism.
