Mujtahida: But there you have it in Nigeria as South South as a testament to man's power to create his own fictions regardless of motivations. In geography, yes imaginary lines are drawn, but it is never done outside the recognized conditions and factors. U can not just call a place an SS without clarifications bkus that doesn't exist. It is either SSE or SSW |

Joebie: okay as u sabi Geography , where really does Anambra, Imo and and Enugu lie? Then following your geography, Edo, Bayelsa, Delta and maybe even Rivers would be in the South West. Take note that FCT is slightly to west from center.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b9/Map_of_Nigerian_States_with_names.png Now u are alluding to my assertions and theories. Clearly from that map, aren't Anambra and Imo SSWs while Abia and Ebonyi are SSEs? Then, Cross River and Akwa Ibom SE? Also from that map, the places in the Eastern hismphere are; Adamawa, Plateau and Taraba while the western hismphere are Kwara, FCT and Niger. |

Mujtahida: Yes they should align with geography and in most cases they do align but not necessarily so because they are fictions. What I mean by fictions is that they are created by politics unlike the true geographical points which are embedded in the universe itself. In law we have legal fictions. For example an incorporated company is regarded as a person because by legal fiction it is given the attributes of a human being in order to make it answerable to law. But you and I know that a company is not a person but by operation of law it has become one.
Same thing applies to states or nations. We can create them, alter them and even dissolve them depending on several factors. Several nations in history no longer exist even though their geographies exist. Their names are nothing today but historical relics.
I understand that the geopolitical configuration is fraudulent and generally I do not say I'm from the North. I'm more in tune with identifying myself as a person from the middle belt. States and countries can be fictitious, since boundaries are imaginary, but I don't think geopolitical zones should also be fabrications, in real sense. The main determinant factor to creating a geopolitical zone should be location, but in Nigeria they have other mischievous factors which are in most cases fraudulent. |

He is one of the best in the world if not the best Arnold is good going forward, especially with his wicked crosses, but defensively he is no match for Ricardo. Ricard never tires out, sometimes I wonder if he is on drugs. |

Mujtahida: Even though I agree with you as per geography, geo-polical configurations need not align with geography cos sometimes they are based on fictions just like the south south. Any reasons why geopolitical configurations shouldn't align with geography? Isn't geopolitical configuration a product of geography? |

TheSuperNerd: Prognosed Commentary moment (in case Nacho plays):
Nacho scores!!!! Oh my word! And surely now that is game over for Man City!! That "chance" he didn't take last season to give Liverpool a shot at an EPL title win has been taken today and buried with aplomb! Nacho comes back to haunt his old club.... And he slides away in celebration and I'm like thinking what could be going through Pep's mind right now......
This is all imaginative of course but what if it comes true? Time will tell
#NachoIsBack Tell Iheanacho to remove the dot under that "I" In abidii Igbo( Igbo alphabet), that udaume(vowel) doesn't have dot beneath, it has the sound, as in "Sleek" not "ilk" |

DrKlever: so we that are from SS what should we call ourselves now U are not from SS sir BTW, Below is the map of Nigeria, using ur compass to trace ur four cardinal points as a geography student, prove that Nigeria is right to term Taraba, Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi, Kwara and some parts of Adamawa, parts of the Northern hemisphere. This is no lecture room, but below is what the cardinal points look like, place it at the centre of that map, then u have ur answers

safarigirl: Geo-POLITICAL is not the same as Geographical my man.
Nowhere in the world, is there a location like SouthSouth, except Nigeria. Those locations only exist for political purposes, once discussion of politics ceases, there is nothing like South East, South West, South South, North Central, North East and other such nomenclatures U are right and wrong also. Geographically, from the four cardinal points, exists other points that gives the eight cardinal points. The four cardinal points are North, South, East and West. Between North and West, u will get North West Between North and East, exists North East Between South and East, exists South East Between South and West, exists South West There is nothing like South South in geography or anywhere in the world, but in Nigerian political world, unless u wanna break it down to SSE, SSW, ESE, NNE etc |

North is North mbok If u were a good student of geography, u would know of the four cardinal points and would understand that some places called northern Nigeria due to politics are actually far from being in the Northern hemisphere. U must be one of those who tag everything Igbo as South East and at the same time tag a place like Cross River(the real South East, geographically) South South. |
