Samueltemi337: Chuks needs to be scoring goals Yes bkus he is a talisman. As a winger he creates more than enough chances for his team, which is the primarily role of every winger, but a player as gifted as he is, should be doing more just like Messi. He is a huge talent |

komekn: You make no point.
When Fikayo Tomori played a very limited game at Brighton and Hove and Hull. I said categorically that he was not good enough. Why because in that set up he couldn't play good quality technical football.
He goes to Derby with Lampard and he excels beyond all expectation. He is now a first team player for Chelsea and an England international. That's supersonic PROGRESS nobody could have predicted that.
I changed nothing. In Rotherham he played kick rush in kick and follow team. I wasn't impressed there was nothing to be impressed about. He had no previous pedigree. He was the outstanding player in that kick and rush team.
Prior to Rotherham he had been a journey man in the lower league that typically play long ball and kick and rush. He was not outstanding.
It seems looking at it now that playing for Nigeria gave his career a boost and brought much needed recognition to him. Not surprisingly he is in West Bromwich. They must have looked at him playing for Nigeria not just hoofing heading the ball in Rotherham. U are the one who is not making no point, uv bn running from pillar to post bkus I am using ur own words against you. Here are the three claims u have made; ✓ He did well at Rotherdam bkus it was kick and rush ✓ He is doing well now at West Brom bkus he has good experienced players around him ✓ Now from ur last paragraph, u seem to imply that he is being played(recognized) and doing well because he is now a Nigerian international, rather than his abilities. Rigmarole no more, just make a point. Here is the question again; Why has Ajayi excelled from Rotherdam to Westbrom? |

komekn: If you make assertion it's not for us to substantiate it for you.
You should present the facts to underpin your position not us.
So how did you come to that conclusion by yourself❓
Consider Forgiveness learn from him if he makes an asserting or point he backs it up with figures and substantive references.
He just doesn't say " because I said so "
Enrich the the discourse with analytical approach let's all learn. Please school me. Statistically, foxsports said their top five centre backs so far in the championship are; Chey Dunkley, Derrick Williams, Semi Ajayi, Matty Pearson and Shaun Hutchinson. Surprisedly, there is no place for Wednesday's supposed rave of the moment, Doms Iorfa, in the top 40 |

komekn: Very simple look at his career progression from Charlton to Arsenal youth and non league over the years.
Remember my quality proposition. Make sure you are the stand out player in your club and league.✓✓✓
Rotherham played the second highest number of long balls in the Championship last season. They played a quintessential Kick and rush football style . In that team he stood out even his physical presence was clearly above everybody else in the team. He wasn't playing on the deck skilful football in Rotherham. I wasn't impressed there was nothing to be impressed about.
Particularly when you compated him to Fikayo Tomori at the time.
I didn't see anything that showed poise in that team. They were relegated and he stood out and didn't go down with them.
WBA have a great manager that plays good quality technical on the deck football. That's the style and that's what he has been playing. WBA arguably have some of the best quality players in the Championship. Many with EPL experience. As a consequence he is IMPROVING. I have one question mark about him, PACE and recover otherwise everything is OK.
I expect them to be promoted automatically to the EPL next season and to win the Championship.
I watched the Brazilian game and he came unstuck a few times. He is good on the ball but not excellent. But then which of our defenders are. At the the triple marked paragraph, when he was "standing out" at Rotherdam, u said he looked good bkus of the long balls(kick and rush), but today he has gone to a ball playing side to "stand out" yet again, proving ur earlier deductions wrong, hence u suddenly changed it using a different line in "WBA arguably have some of the best quality players in the Championship. Many with EPL experience", to make it look like he is doing good bkus of the quality players around him. To me, at Westbrom, dude has proven that his Rotherdam exploits were no fluke. Give him the props. |

safarigirl: we will hear it.
If we are getting coverage here, from leagues in Poland, why not in Turkey? If he was doing great things, we would hear of it on this thread at least, irrespective of mainstream media.
He has just two assists in how many games?
Omanbala, for someone who likes to call Iwobi and other English-born players mediocre, you seem to support mediocrity yourself U get time, no be same Turkey Yobo dey yesterday? Ekong, Shehu and Onyekuru nko? Abeg Zubby no dey do anything exceptional, dats why we don't hear of him. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 6:53pm On Dec 05, 2019 |
komekn: That's a very subjective question ❓
Who is the best defenders in the world? Is it the most expensive? most assists, etc
It's not so simplistic in this regard, I can not say to you conclusively who is the best CB in the Championship now.
However, at the end of the season accolades are given by the league as to who is the best in different positions.
What we can say conclusive is that a player is among the top defenders. You can sum it up with MOTM awards which defender got the most, or performance stats. ✓✓✓✓
However. I will say conclusively that Iorfa undoubtedly among the top performing defenders in the Championship. Which defender has won it the most, which defender has won the player of month and which has made team of the week, the most? My answer is Semi Ajayi. Prove me wrong using stats, if u can |

OMANBALA1: Even if he was you might not hear it because the league coverage is very low. Zuby has had like 2 assists from a DM position this season...he is just unlucky and remember this guy came directly from local Nigerian league...hmm Bros please no vex oo, don't u think u are ridiculing this Zubby boy with these unfounded praises? Even the boy go ask for u to be cautioned, if he comes across these posts, bkus he would sure see them as mockery, bkus he knows he ain't anything close to what u describe him to be. Nawa oo |

Komekn I have been longing to ask u this question since the championship season kicked off.
When Ajayi was doing well for Rotherdam, some of us praised him for his poise in defense and attacking prowess, but u tried to shout us down, saying Ajayi had shown nothing special, instead he looked good bkus he was playing in a kick and rush team, in ur own words, blood and gut. So please, in a nutshell, can u explain to us why he has been a hit for a ball playing side like Westbrom? Mind u, he is rated as one of the best ball-playing centre backs in the championship, currently. He is also rated as one of the Albion's best transfers ever.
Personally, he wowed me against Brazil with the way he was bringing out balls from behind like Joel Matip. |

Or is it when Arsenal now sign him that we will remember him. I hope he maintains this form through the season, especially btwn January and February when Rohr will be drawing his list. That said, we still have a long process to go through, to get him cleared. So far, Ajayi is rated the best central defender in the league while Iorfa ain't far brhind, but the prospect of having these two in the epl soon, gives me joy |
