It seems no one wants to say it due to the respect we have for him, yea we appreciate Ekong for everything he has done and still doing but with him as a centre back, especially when we play 4 men at the back instead of 3, we will always concede goals.

Chelle should use this 4 team tourney in England in July to try out new combos if he must continue playing 4 men at the back. Let's see what Bassey and Igoh Ogbu combo could bring. Ekong lacks pace and if Zimbabwe had made good use of their counters the other day, they would have dusted us completely.

I feel Bassey and Ogbu could give us some kinda Fulham Bassey/Adarabioyo synergy and show.

Correct, But u see Osayi grin, that guy is not RB
Osayi is not good enough to start for us in any position.

Moses Simon failed woefully yesterday. Couldn't make any successful dribble to set up any reasonable chance even though we used his side to attack most of the time.

With Arokodare already in the pitch, Victor Boniface had no business coming in to replace Osimhen. Chelle should have brought in a hunting dog in Alhassan to chase down every rabbit.

No disrespect to Ekong, but he is always a big suspect when we play 4 at the back, and from the first blast of the whistle I was expecting a costly error from him. Ekong does better when he has two CBs by his sides.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 9:24am On Mar 26, 2025
Thanks so much Chelle, but we won't tolerate playing our best RB on the left just to accommodate Osayi. If you must play a right footed player on the left, then hasten up and get Felix Agu, because that is his primary role and no one in the team will play that role better than him.

Osimhen will hustle for 75 minutes and still be faster and a more serious threat than Arokodare that was subbed in in the 75th minute.

Osayi scammed us with his display against Portugal the day he made his debut. That boy is a very poor right back, and I don't get why the best Right back in the epl is being forced out of position to accommodate Osayi.

Who told you that the news emanated from Car321? I saw it cybereagles. Abi na from here dem copy am?
Car321 made the post at 2am today. When did CE make theirs?

Car321:
Teboho Mokoena (Yellow Card 54 mins ) vs Benin- Match Day 1

Teboho Mokoena ( Yellow Card 52nd minute ) vs Zimbabwe -Match day 4

He should have been suspended for their game vs Lesotho, but he played. If confirmed, South Africa will be deducted 3 points.

Let NFF and CAF/FIFA know as this could be to the benefit of the Super Eagles

The case is in favour of Lesotho as it will push them to top of the table and so they will definitely file for it. If them no gree, Nigerians go invade their entire social media space until they do the needful. grin
Why did you have to respond like you are a novice in this game? Which one be if they fail, Nigeria will invade their social media space? Oga anybody in our group could make that filing. Weda Lesotho files or not, e no concern us because we could file on our own.

In a global setting, as regards rights, it is easy to point out who is a Nigerian from a multitude.

So, because here in Nigeria, whoever has a family member or a friend at the top, automatically is above the law, that is what makes you think SA can avoid FIFA wrath because they have Motsepe? Dude please grin
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 5:29am On Mar 25, 2025
I thought yellow cards are cancelled if they were not accumulated consecutively, or am I wrong?

First yellow was on match day1 and he didn't get another yellow on match day 2.

As Iwobi is on a yellow now, if he avoids another yellow against Zimbabwe today, automatically that previous yellow becomes invalid. Isn't that how it is done?

Someone who understands these rules better should look into this please, because we were punished for same reason enroute to 2018 world cup when Rohr fielded Shehu against Algeria in Algiers.

We have a young quality left winger in the Brazilian league and his name is Shola Ogundana.

We really need a striker who can maintain same tempo when subbed in for Osimhen.

Chelle needs to put in effort to bring in George Ilenikhena, while we also watch Rafiu Durosimi as Moffi recuperates.

Chelle did well with his subs today. Onyedika is classy.

Chrisantus Uche would have been great in this match too if he was called up.

minfelix:
except if it as the coach’s instructions for Tolu slow the the tempo, then no p, but Chelle should learn from his Afcon mistake oo, you dont score hungry teams 1-2 and 2-0 and slow down tempo ooo…some will keep fighting oo, i need to see another radical striker in the shape of Osimhen ooo…like we so so so so need it meehn..i hope Tolu can hustle like him too…beat teams well well, show them say them too small
This was my take after watching him thoroughly and studying his game last year, and that was exactly what he also showed today. Dude is not daring as a striker.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 8:13pm On Mar 21, 2025
No excuses for Tolu because I'm quite familiar with his style. He always plays with his back to the goal. He never takes on defenders or breath down on goalkeepers while with the ball. What he showed today is his typical game style, and I will reiterate, he had no reason running away from the goal with the ball in that position as a striker. He was supposed to take on those defenders to force a save from the goalkeeper or play his man on.
