komekn: Unfortunately in modern football it's not enough to just sit deep and fefenf. You must very quickly move from defence to attack.
That's what gives you the edge and moves you up the ladder. This is something that Ndidi must learn and improve on. Football is highly competitive if you are not improving you are regressing.
Soon other small boy players will overtake you.
It should be noted with caution nobody really came in for Ndidi. That tell us something. We may hail him all we like but PSG decided to buy a near 30 years ago old DM. Did they not see Ndidi.
Aribo brings defensive battle ready but offensive capacity to the DM position.
Finally Aribo is very hungry if Ndidi is rested it will be good to see how he performs against Ukraine. My friend stop making noise abeg. it is obvious u know nothing about the player u write of. Aribo doesn't play DM. he only plays CM (primarily) and AM - secondarily |

Earthquake1: Can you point out where I made such statement? After komekn posted that Aribo would be a competition to Ndidi, u alluded that ,that competition would bring out the best in ndidi, in other words u agreed Aribo was coming in as a DM. that's it below Earthquake1: Aribo will bring out the best in Ndidi, Etebo is a DM and Ndidi likes to own the defensive midfield spot Earthquake1: Yes Etebo plays primarily as a DM, CM and BtB are just nomenclatures |

Humility017: yeah...well said. Ajayi have not really been tried thoroughly as a DM yet for the SE you know his height also gonna be helpful as a DM....
I don't see Aribo as a good AM, his primary position is the CM role... I rather we opt in for Kingsley Micheal, Dele Bashiru that's if they come good in time to come...and also Ejaria and Eze too...are the only ones that can play the AM role... iwobi can be used as a perfect sub for the AM role.... since dude don't wanna improve.
I picked those aforementioned players...because they shot very well precisely and with force from outside the box and also pass well to an extent though not like iwobi Bar Eze, those guys u suggested are CMs too, but can function as AMs. this is quite hard for me to say, but the only recognized AM prospect we have, is that agbaya(baba Ajagun) in Belgium and a super inconsisent Onomah. But we can do without Ajagun if Michael, ejaria, bashiru et al, come good. That said I have my eyes on onomah, I want him in |

Earthquake1: Dude is there anything wrong with you? lol bro the only thing wrong with me is that Etebo is a DM, Ndidi is a DM and Aribo is coming in as a DM too, to bring out the best in the two DMs he has already So na only defensive midfielders papi Rohr wan pack for our midfield? lol that would be the height of carpentry |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 12:02pm On Aug 23, 2019 |
Danielnino00: Rohr too like DMs ...Na dem they help his conservative style.. Etebo isn't a DM, neither is Aribo. Forget wetin dat boy dey talk, like Andrew rightly said, him no sabi anything, most times he says things outta boredom , not that he really has something to say. The only well defined DM we av is Wilf Ndidi, while others are makeshifts. Aribo is coming in as a CM to partner a DM in Ndidi, Etebo is primarily a CM who can also feature secondarily as an AM, hence I fear this could force iwobi to the wings, with rohr still at the helm. |

Humility017: yeah...competition makes the team better..
I see him as someone who will compete with etebo for the CM role...Ndidi is primarily a DM... the conservative kind..that sits deep to defend...
not until Rohr change the play style to be a full fledged attacking team...Ndidi will keep sitting deep to shed the defenders.....
for now Aribo can compete for the CM role Here is Humility180 re-echoeing what was said long before now, wey komekn wan twist |

komekn: When l said that he will compete with Ndidi particularly as he bring more offensively speaking. People went up in arms saying I am denigrating our world class Ndidi.
Competition makes the team better. Enough with the lies, people didn't go up because u were denigrating ndidi, though u are always guilty of denigrating our homegrown talents, people rather made their feelings known that they wanted aribo as a CM to compliment Ndidi to make our midfield stronger. Dey echoed that they would not like the idea of one sitting for the other, hence someone like emmyboy was already drawing a midfield formation of Ndidi(DM), Aribo(CM) and Iwobi(AM). You too dey lie |

komekn: Is this the same Ekpolo that left Barcelona to play for Fleetwood Town ❓ Could only muster s dozen games over near two seasons and left for the deeper obscurity of the Nordic leagues.
People need to understand that there are players who do not need the SE to give thier careers a desperate and much needed life saving boost.
That will be true of most players playing at a good level in the top leagues and who have played youth level for England or any other top European league and country. You are always writing out of point. How does this junk u wrote relate to the argument we are having? I said I made a personal observation, that Edo origin players tend to be easily swayed by our advances than others, and I used ekpolo and osede as the least examples, out of blue ,u jumped in and started comparing/talking about who does not need the eagles to better their career. |
