Trading on Mondays are shit.. Thou I can't provide valid reason right now based on one experience .. Buh after doing my price action on Saturday and Sunday(the pairs I would be focusing on for the week) .. I got good entry points on Monday and got taken out(I lost all the 3 positions I took).. On Tuesday they all start moving my anticipated direction😭... That made me start to study ICT.

Am currently at 4% in my mffx 10k phase 1 challenge..handling multiple things is stressful as hell.. Buh we move.. I pray I complete it nxt week... But first I have to let some things go...

Good day every one... I decided to take my prop firm acc challenge slow as it has no time limit. It has been hectic for me as I ve started the IT I planned not to do nd the company demands re much..
My thoughts : Trading the stop hunt, Buystoploss, sell stop-loss (This Should be done by using price action to know the true direction of the market(then expecting the market makers to hunt for stop losses b4 moving the right way)... Since the whole idea is Buy low sell high. I think mastering Price action, market structure and ICT.. Should help.

I stand to be corrected as am only a month+ actively trading... So Bosses in the house bless me with your wisdom

Imagine me buying an mffx acc aftr jus trading a week on a demo acc (I felt lyk I already made it😂).. This thread has really helped me alot... I didn't trade the account becus aftr been on the thread I knew I was far from the dream and if I should trade on it there is only one outcome(Blowing of acc).
I still haven't trade the acc till now.. Am still working my way to create a trading system(entry strategy, trading psychology, Money management and Risk management) nd practicing it to beyond familiarity (We only fear what we don't know) ..

Thank you everyone for the direct and indirect help you ve assisted me with... I still have this feeling in me that I would be successful at this.. Buh I also have this fear in me from what I have seen, stories have heard and my experiences .. Am only going to aim at things I could control that is preparing myself for the great battle with the knowledge that the market does what it want(for my sanity)... I only breathe forex now... My interest has been in forex trading since 2021 but i didn't really have d time to focus on
It.. So my learning has been inconsistent(Read, watch videos with zero practicing).. So I dropped it, had to focus on school works(studying electrical engineering takes lot of time off once schedule).
Buh now I have this Industrial training break.. Am determined to mke good use of it.

Boss to be real and sincere.. Last month was my first month of trading.. So I started from trading everything tradable b4 narrowing my pairs to Nasdaq, jpypairs and Gold...

I Day trade (I tried holding a trade overnight once the swap fee was crazy)

My entrys were made at the 15 minutes and 1hour timeframes. I often look at the higher timeframes like monthly, Daily and weekly for trend direction and market sentiments.

The 10 essentials of forex trading by (Jared F Martinez)
Top Down Analysis on The Financial markets by (Ref Wayne and Bafena Masilela)
Trading in the zone by (Mark douglas)
Babypips pdf (was fortunate to find it in the telegram group)

I got that eureka moment yesterday when I started reading (Market structure and powerful setups) spotted most of my mistakes lol.
I watch a lot of YouTube videos too.. I paid little money to a guy to get a link containing Momo's course also.

Summary from above I didn't go with a plan.. I was practicing what I learnt didn't know I would do so good.. But if am to partake on any competition again.. I would have a plan on my entry strategy, money management strategy, Risk management and Psychology written down on a Book and revisited every day b4 I start trading. When I go against it I would stop trading for d day.

U guys shd Congratulate me.. I made 12%...I was at 18% b4 shit happens... Omo trading no be moimoi... My Inexperience hits me hard, made a lot of mistakes.(knowing market structure would have saved me a lot).. I take this as a positive.. way better than a Demo account (I Jus dey shoot emotions everywhere😂). Demo account no fit gve me dis vibes.

I would have been stuck reading everything I could lay my hands on with no practice cus I wouldn't have felt this thrill. Shout out @Boss samfelly for always ready to help (Thank You Sir).

True.. I look at my mt5 too much... Its tiring buh I can't get my sef to stop... The anxiety of how the trade is doing always keeps me at the edge... I swear this trading na emotional damage... Imagine I shorted gold and Nasdaq (Gold entrypoint:1951.90....Tp:1935.66.... Gold carry me go $2k+ profit.... Then took me to $1k loss(almost meeting my stop loss)... Then took me to $500+..... Then to - $648.... Na so I tire for the rollercosta con pull d plug (2 hours ago) .... Now I check Mr. Market Gold dn pass ma T. P😭😭..

I initially wanted to learn everything at once.. Buh the more I look the more confused I get(wykoff, market structures e.t.c) .. So I decided to try and perfect the ones that stick to my head(price action).
My strategy basically is looking at the monthly time frame to get the market sentiment.. Then I would scale to the weekly to draw my important zones.. And my long term trend line and a times check for fibonacci retracement zones on the weekly.. On my one hour I would draw my most important support and resistance.. Then I wait for a for a break and retest (I discovered that a trending market(higher highs, higher lows... Lower highs lower lows) After a break in the support and the retracement tend to create a new higher high( this is aftr I have held many trades without getting close to my take profit).. It I crazy how the market retraces even if its a little aftr every support and resistance it touches... At one point I stopped following my process and I started gambling(I felt like dis because I become prayerful.... Holding on to hope aftr I took the trade😂)....

Damn!! This Week has been one hell of a week... Now I throughly understand what Boss inforfirst meant when he got sick from trading. ... I was unable to sleep(I only see green and red when my eyes re closed), am officially changing my best color to green(why is green so peaceful?) .. I doubt I had 10hours sleep dis week. My anxiety shot up to a high level,I did not WhatsApp or step outdoors, spent most of my time on the tradingview, this thread on nairaland(I dey follow the thread bomber to bomber) , reading forex books and youtube . Till now my body still feels electrified. This is officially my 2nd week of trading... Last week I wasn't dat invested in it cus I was running some exams and practicals then.
This thread has been a great help to me.. Learned a lot from here and still learning....... God Bless the creator and the contributers. Trading psychology no be here 😔... Gold sat me down and said to me you... I would kill you se😂. (I could laugh now buh it's not actually funny then).

Now that I won't be going for second semester cus of 400 level IT.. I ain't going to waste my time with dat shit.
