The referee added 7 minutes extra time. At the 5th minutes of added time, our goalkeeper parried a goal bound shot to a corner kick that gave him injury and was on the ground, he removed his gloves, and Sariki Ismail Insurance player picked the gloves, the centre referee gave him a red card

The fans and players in hurrying him out of the pitch because they saw him as wasting time attacked him and other players and chased them away from the pitch. The two video cameras of Insurance were seize and have it deleted all the match proceedings” as stated by Mr. Omokhagbor.

Players and workers of Bendel insurance sustained various level of injuries and were seen been chased out of the football premises by the home team as they ran helter-skelter for their lives, and finally some were able to use the fence.

Last Friday’s judgement of the Supreme Court, puts an end to the series of litigations we had over last year’s governorship elections.

For the records, Your Excellency, your supporters had instituted thirteen (13) different pre-election cases against my deputy and I; all seeking to disqualify us from participating in the election. On our part, our party, the APC had only one case against Your Excellency and your party.

We also deliberately did not go to the Elections Tribunal, not because we did not have issues but because we felt it was better to allow you face the job at hand, moreso as our party at the National level had congratulated you.


We are happy that all these cases have come to an end. Now that it is all over, please accept my congratulations.

Having said that, I want to appeal to you to kindly consider the pertinent issues of the 14 constituencies, including the two in your local government – Oredo and the two in your deputy’s local government – Etsako West, that are presently without representation at the Edo State Assembly. Though the matter is in court, you are in a vantage position to consider an out-of-court settlement of the issue, in the overall interest of our state.

Your Excellency would also do well to intervene in the issue of elected Local Government Chairmen, Vice-chairmen, Councilors and Supervisory Councillors, who sometime ago, were suspended and removed from office. Our appeal is that you consider paying them their entitlements since it is now late for them to return to their offices. This can also be through the out of court settlement.

Your Excellency, for us in the APC, as the opposition party in the state, we have a duty to ensure that your government does the right thing always.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has paraded Uduak Frank Akpan, the suspect in the death of a job seeker, Inibong Umoren.

Uduak, according to the state Police Commissioner, Andrew Amiengheme, was paraded today to dispel the rumour that he committed suicide in police custody.

While fielding questions from journalists, the suspect revealed that he invited Umoren over for a fake job and then demanded to have sex with her.

According to him, she agreed to his demand but became furious which made her hit him on the head with a stabiliser, which he in turn used on her before she died.


Uduak said, “I asked her whether she can work on a farm as a secretary, she said she can and that she’s ready to do the job. So, when she came, I revealed to her that this farm doesn’t exist and that it was just a hoax.

“I told her that before she leaves that I’ll like to have sex with her, and she agreed. But she gave a condition that I should use a condom, which I did. When I removed the condom, she became furious, so she took the nearby stabiliser to hit me on my head. Then she bit my left ring finger.”

He continued, “In a bid to stop her, I used the stabiliser to hit her and she fell and started bleeding, thereafter she died.”

When asked to state the number of people he has killed, Uduak said Umoren is the only one but about six other women have fallen victim to his antics.

Meanwhile, Umoren has been laid to rest today in Akwa Ibom amid tears and wailing from family members and friends.

PDP LEADERSHIP SCHOOL’S IKIMI OVER COMMENTS, DEMANDS OBASEKI REVEALS HOW MUCH AND THOSE HE PAID FOR HIS TICKET

The Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) doesn’t seem to be ready to take chances , as the happenings so far poses their readiness to reply any orchestrated response that attempt to contravene the resolution reached by the state EXCO .

This has brought us to the response by the PDP to Chief Tom Ikimi’s comments on resolution reached by the state EXCO against activities of Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki in the party.

“THE INFLATED EGO OF CHIEF TOM IKIMI, DEFLATED BY HIS ACTIONS.

1. Status level? No one understand what this means except you. You are in a better position to educate us on this because of your constant movement from one party to another(forming APC in your bedroom like you always say).

2. We plead with you not to re-write history. Gov. Tambuwal joined the party and picked a Deputy from PDP. His Deputy left and became the APC candidate at the election. Gov. Tambulwa never requested for the dissolution of Sokoto Exco but worked wholeheartedly with the Exco to win his election. Kindly cross check as we know that age is no longer kind to your retentive memory.

3. Gov Otorm never requested for the dissolution of Party Exco. The chairman of the party at the time of joining the party was Hon. John Ngede and he remains the chairman of the to date. He appointed the State Vice chairman, Treasurer, and financial Secretary as Special advisers of cabinet rank. And in return he nominated some people to be considered as replacement.

4. We kindly request you pick up your dictionary and look up the words “ integration” and “harmonisation”. They have different meanings. We wish to state that our Party Exco at various levels were constitutionally elected for a tenure of four years just like the Governor and his Deputy. They cannot be dissolved with a Fiat at the pleasure of people like you who have little or no feelings for others. Those interested in contesting their positions should wait until the end of their tenure.

5. Perhaps, this is a perfect moment for the Governor to speak out about the much talked about buying the ticket. The Governor should name all the leaders he gave money for His ticket. Barka de sallah”

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have opened up on what Godwin Obaseki must do if truly he wants genuine harmonisation with the party and it’s members in the state.

This was contained in a written rosloluton from PDP stakeholders meeting on Monday.

The letter which has since been a topic of interest on the ChrisOsaMedia.Com , also reflected that the Governor is working to dissolve EXCO members of the PDP at all levels of the state, while the party at the state level is kicking against this. The party through the letter signed by it’s state Chairman and Secretary also stated that the Governor is losing focus in keeping promises made to Edo people during electioneering campaign.


According to the resolution sent to National Chairman of the party by the Edo State leadership of PDP, they insist that if there should be any harmonization that it must begin from the office of the Governor, while registering their displeasure as to the reappointment of Barr. Osarodion Ogie as SSG, they also stated that the Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu must resign as Deputy Governor, while someone else will be nominated from the old PDP will take his seat Deputy Governor seat.



Part of the resolution as obtained by ChrisOsaMedia.Com reads, The genesis of this looming crisis results from the acquiescence of the National Working Committee members who negotiated Godwin Obaseki’s movement to PDP, to reach a verbal or written agreement on the integration of the new members vis a vis the sharing of appointments, after the elections had been won. We therefore condemn Gov. Obaseki’s re-appointment of his former SSG without any consideration for the legacy PDP he joined. To this end, they have consistently sang a tune of “harmonization” ever since Obaseki was sworn in, know that he now has the “yam and the knife”. *We have resolved strongly, that if any harmonization MUST take place, it MUST start from the Governor’s office, where his Deputy Governor should resign and a Deputy nominated from the old PDP is sworn in. Edo people voted for PDP and Godwin Obaseki to deliver the dividends of democracy to them, but if Gov. Obaseki wills to conduct governance by a triumvirate of the Governor, the Deputy Governor and the SSG, so be it. If he wishes to appoint only his friends and former APC colleagues in his cabinet and sundry positions, and leave out the legacy PDP members, so be it. We, the Peoples Democratic Party leadership will not accede to any form of harmonization that has no backing or interpretation in our party constitution.

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the pioneer National Chairman and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, his successor attended the meeting with former governor Oserhiemhen Osunbor and his estwhile deputy, Chief Lucky Imasuen as well as former Deputy governor Dr Pius Odubu.

At the event, Chief Oyegun commended the State Caretaker Committee of the party, led by Col David Imuse Retd for the success of the just concluded Membership registration exercise of the party in the state.

Chief Oyegun predicted that the future is very bright for the APC. He said, “Let us put the past behind and let us look at the future”. He then reiterated his membership of the party saying, “I am APC… I belong to APC body and soul”.

Nigeria’s Minister for Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi is grappling to save his wife, Mrs. Judith Amaechi from probe over the looting of N48 billion from a contract she received from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, when Nelson Brambaifa was the acting Managing
Director.

Brambaifa, a lackey of Amaechi was appointed Acting MD of NDDC in January 2019. He was sacked in August 2019 following allegations of
corruption in NDDC under his leadership.

Sources at the NDDC conversant with the deal told Pointblanknews that Mrs. Amaechi had through her Non for profit organization,
Empowerment Support Initiatives, ESI, received a N70billion contract from the agency to train Niger Deltans in skills such as Tailoring, Soap making, Carpentry and others.

After the award of contract to ESI, sources told Pointblanknews that Mrs Amaechi’s wife received N48billion.



Mrs. Amaechi’s ESI said it trained of over 2000 women and youths drawn from the twenty-there LGAs of RIVERS STATE and non-indigenes in COLD PROCCES SOAP MAKING, trained 100 women drawn from the 23 LGAs RIVERS STATE in elaborate fashion Designing in the following areas: Patterns and cuttings, Sewing, Finishing, Fashion &Designing, Colours, Packing, General Management of Business.

Other training ESI claimed was done includes:

Elaborate skills Training programme in Fashion Designing Facilitated by a renowned Fashion
Designer, Ade Bakare Couture for the following artisans in the fashion industry: Sewing and tailoring, Hat Making & Millinery, Bead Making,
Fashion Illustration, Fashion Modelling.

Mrs Amaechi’s ESI was a major contractor with the NDDC and she used Brambaifa who was nominated for the acting MD position in NDDC by her husband to collect several contracts running into billions most of which were never done, a source at the agency told pointblanknews.

While one source said the N48billion was paid to ESI in split payment of N4billion monthly, another source at the Finance Department of the NDDC told pointblanknews that the N48billion was paid in installment payment of N4billion weekly.

A report of the scandalous contract has now been tabled before theAttorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, who in turn is alleged to have used it to threaten the Transport Minister.

Amaechi and Governor Ahmed Elrufai of Kaduna state are both eyeing the Presidency and Vice Presidency in 2023. They belong to a rival group in the All Progressive Congress, APC, that is opposed to the Malami group.

Sources told Pointblanknews that the report of the N48billion contract from the NDDC is now being used to silence Amaechi and torpedoed his ambition.

“Amaechi now runs to Tunde, Buhari’s PA to help him lobby Malami so his wife is not prosecuted. This is why Amaechi no longer talks tough or says anything to his supporters about 2023 or his ambition. He is very worried,” a source close to the Transport Minister told Pointblanknews.

According to the source, Amaechi is afraid that the Attorney General may use the documents of the looting in his custody either now or in the future to blackmail him.

The former MD of NDDC, Prof Brambaifa, his sons, David and Christopher Brambaifa, former Executive Director of Finance, Chris Amadi, his wife Anna, Preye Brambaifa, Greg David Osuma, Clara Osuma, Mike Ayapaye, Uche Aleke, Sunday Aguebor, Brigadier Charles Nengite and Tony Chukwu, most of whom are Amaechi’s lackey were all accused of looting over N100billion within three months of Brambaifa’s tenure.

While Nengite is currently facing prosecution by the Military, the rest are yet to be prosecuted.

Sources told pointblanknews that Brambaifa had told investigators when he was first interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that he gave N66billion to support the Buhari’s Presidential Campaign in 2019.

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has urged students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, to support ongoing reforms to reposition the institution.

The governor said this during a courtesy visit by the executives of the Student Union Government (SUG) led by the President, Osamagbe Eghobamien at the Government House in Benin City.

Obaseki urged the students not to allow themselves to be used by some elements within the school community to distract the government from its vision to reposition the institution.

He said, *“I need to do some real clean up in your school. It is in your interest to stay and persuade your colleagues because if there is any strike action and the school is shut down by the government, it is not going to be in your interest.*

*“Your school, as far as I am concerned, is open. If you people have gone on strike, we want to resolve that. I advise the other unions to be responsible. Please do whatever you can to advise them. They are pushing us to take a certain decision that will not be in your interest.*

*“Let the rest of your colleagues know this: I don’t want to do what they are pushing me to do. Strike as a tool for negotiation is old fashioned. The President, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night, met with a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu was accompanied to the meeting by a former national chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande.

The meeting was held inside the President’s official residence inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Buhari also met behind closed doors with the Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum.

The meeting was said to have centred on the security situation in the state.

The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has suspended Channels Television with a fine N5 million for breaching the broadcast code.

In a letter to the Managing Director of Channels Television signed by the Acting Director-General of the Commission, NBC, Armstrong Idachaba, the Commission referred to Channels 7pm live broadcast programme of Sunday, April 25, 2021.

According to the NBC, the TV station erred by allowing a leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB to make secessionist and inciting declarations on air without caution or reprimand.

Mr Amstrong added that such act contravenes broadcast code.

It also accused the station of allowing the guest speaker to make derogatory, false and misleading statements about the Nigerian army, despite being proscribed by a court of law.

Edo state Embattled Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and his mobilization committee chairman Mr. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen has been disqualified by the APC screening committee from contesting Edo state Governorship election under it's platform.

Obaseki who had earlier stated on Wednesday that the screening committee faulted him for his regular patronage for anti party activities, had also been fingered in an alleged forgery of certificates ranging from three credits in WAEC, alleged certificate from University of Ibadan, and even his NYSC certificate.

The disqualification which was made known on Friday may have shattered Obaseki's dream for second term as APC seems to be in total control haven received many defectors from it's main opposition party PDP.

Meanwhile the embattled Governor is not giving up yet, as there are reports that he may be considering contesting under the AAC, as the main opposition PDP has rejected granting him his desire of an automatic ticket without any contestation.

The embattled Governor was accused of several anti party activities and also his certificate saga. After the NWC of the party changed the location of it's Edo state secretariat with a written letter duly signed by the National Chairman of the party Comr Adams Oshiomole, ChrisOsaMedia.come gathered that the Governor in is usual way of violence is alleged to have concluded plans to commence demolition of that new secretariat of the party in the state, which is located on No. 18 Ighiwiyisi street off airport road, Benin City.


It is alleged that Mr. Osagiede, who Obaseki is parading as his own APC (illegal) state publicity secretary, while discussing with some of his friends, boasted that there is no cause for alarm as the state government is perfecting plans to demolish the newly approved Edo state APC Secretariat.

The reason behind Obaseki’s intention to demolish the Secretariat is not far fetched as the Governor may have understood that his puppet Chairman Anslem Ojezua who has since been suspended by majority of party state excos, will not be functioning especially now that the governorship primary election has since been slated to hold June 22nd, and coupled with the fact that the embattled Governor losing grip of party faithfuls, and the only way he could emerge as candidate of the party is through coercion and violence, which the party and Edo people have vowed to resist.

The embattled and outgoing governor of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has finally vindicated the Adams Oshiomhole administration by openly admitting on national TV that he deliberately did not put into use, the specialist hospital built by his predecessor and APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, ChrisOsaMedia.com can authoritatively report.

This was even as the governor denounced the purported endorsement of his second term ambition by Mr. President, saying the report was informed by the “body language” and “photo sessions” he had with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Obaseki, who was asked on Channels Television’ "Politics Today" to confirm the true state of things as he had been accused of refusing to put into use the hospital that was built and fully equipped with the necessary facilities, told the presenter and by extension, his listeners, that it was a mistake on his part. “Well, let's not talk about the mistake of the past...,” he declared.

The governor, having made everyone believe that the hospital had no equipments in it, and with his latest statement on TV, has shown and confirmed again that he is not sincere but had been feeding the people of Edo state with lies just for his own selfish interest when he claimed that the hospital was empty.

The open declaration by Mr. Obaseki has finally revealed that his intentions were simply to deliberately blackmail the person and office of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for reasons best known to him. The governor agreed in the interview that the hospital was completely built and equipped up to 70 per cent, insisting that he only made a mistake and should be overlooked as it was in the past. It is painful that Obaseki will pass through the stress of telling so many lies just to ridicule his benefactor.

ALLEGED FORGED DOCUMENTS HEIGHTENS QUESTIONS OVER OBASEKI’S QUALIFICATION

In the days ahead, the academic qualifications of the embattled Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki will be carefully scrutinized, after the Governor claimed to have recovered his misplaced WAEC results which contents have raised public interest and doubts on his claim to both secondary school and university education.

According to documents he tendered to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) alongside an affidavit before the last Edo State Governorship election, Godwin Obaseki claimed to have attended University of Ibadan, this particularly have raised so much concerns from party men, considering the fact that Governor Obaseki fails to meet the necessary requirements in his WAEC result which he claimed he use to secure his admission into the University of Ibadan, there are speculations that the Governor did not meet up with the required credits in the necessary subjects.

Though the Governor wrote in the affidavit that he attended University of Ibadan, he has also continued to maintain that all his certificates are missing in action without presenting Certified True Copies to confirm attendance and graduation. It is worthy of note that Certificates in Nigeria are usually public documents as captured by S.102 of the Evidence Act 2011 but Obaseki has failed to accept this position.

The discrepancy in Obaseki’s stated date of attending the University questions the truthfulness of his claim to have graduated from the tertiary institution. The discrepancies discovered in the documents are too clear to risk fielding Obaseki as a candidate.

This issue has becomes very crucial in view of the far-reaching implications of the provisions of section 182(1)(j) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) which is to the effect that, “ No person shall be qualified for election to the office of Governor of a State if—(j) he has presented a forged certificate to the independent National Electoral Commission.
Furthermore it has been decided in retinue of cases in Nigeria and by implication now a settled law that in determining whether a document has been forged, the following conditions should be in place;
(1) the existence of a document in writing;
(2) the document or writing is forged;
(3) that the forgery was by the person being accused(Obaseki );
(4) that the party(Obaseki) who made it(Obaseki) knew that the document was false; and
(5) the party(Obaseki) alleged intended the forged document to be acted upon as genuine.

It is now in the hands of the screening committee of the APC and the judiciary to decide the authenticity of the documents tendered by Godwin Obaseki who to the amusement of many has not traversed this serious position. The implication is that, an uncontroverted allegation is deemed accepted as the true state of facts. More so these contradictions are reflected in Obaseki’s affidavit which he submitted to INEC in 2016.

Therefore it will be wise to disqualify Mr Obaseki now in order not to risk the party losing out eventually to another party at the Tribunal.
