The executive and members of the Nigerian football supporters Club Edo State chapter has decorated Edo south senatorial hopeful Hon Patrick Obahiagbon as patron of the supporters Club.

The leader and Chairman of the supporters Club Chief Osadolo Ogiefa who led other executive and members to the campaign headquarters of the senatorial hopeful said they have chosen Patrick Obahiagbon because of his goodwill and love for sports and football.

The decoration of Obahiagbon as patron which took place early Wednesday also witnessed the high point of endorsement from the supporters Club as they explained the need to send a better person to represent Edo South at the red chambers come 16th February 2019.


"We need one who can talk vibrantly on behalf of Edo South, and we are not blind to see your wonderful exploits in the past from your vocal nature to constituency projects with empowerment for our youths, that is why we are not only here to decorate you as our patron but also to endorse you as our preferred candidate for senate, we will not stop here as most of our members spread across Edo south are registered voters, be rest assured of our votes" as said by the Chairman Chief Osadolo Ogiefa


Patrick Obahiagbon who continue to enjoy the support of the people of Edo South in a reply thanked the body for seeing him worthy to be their patron

"It gives me so much joy from the depth of my heart to recognize fully with this family and to be decorated as a patron, I want to assure you all that I will not let you down, you have remembered the past which is one of the reasons why you are here today to recognize with our progressive movement, and that is one good thing that will continue to further promote goodwill, please let my candidacy continue to be your candidacy " Obahiagbon commented

There would have been no need coming up with this as we all know Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon to be an achiever who in time past has proven to always put the people's interest first, but for the record purposes it is important to bring to the notice of all how lucky Edo South will be to have Igodomigodo at the Upper Chamber representing his senatorial district effectively.

*MOTIONS BEFORE THE GRAMMARS*

Just as yearnings to have Obahiagbon in the senate continues, for making us proud some years back.

Yes the grammars paid off while he served actively for four years in the house of representatives.

We may not be able to recall all, because he moved several motions and bills, while some was Co-sponsored. But these are few we can dig out now while we work towards bringing others to light.

He Moved the motion that called on the Federal Government to urgently make move to fix the BENIN/ORE/LAGOS ROAD, which was a death trap at that time, and following which the then Minister for Transport was immediately dispatched by Mr President to fix the road.

He Moved the Motion that drew the Federal Government's attention to the disaster that was at the QUEEN EDE GULLY EROSION. This was an environmental disaster that claimed several houses and lives, The Federal government then responded with some palliatives.

He Moved a motion calling on the Nigerian Senate to confirm the appointment of Mrs Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru as Chairman of Board of Inland Revenue Service, when it was clear to Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon that the Nigerian Senate was playing politics with the confirmation of her appointment, then it was followed up with a World Press Conference addressed by Hon Patrick Obahiagbon on demand for her confirmation as Chairman.

let it be noted that in pursuing the case of Mrs Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru, Patrick Obahiagbon had never met her before, and she didn't approach him, it was only sufficient for him that she was his constituent and that he felt she was been a victim of power play in the Senate and there was need to move against the then Nigerian Senate

The Historic motion that called on the Federal government to immortalise the memories of late Bashorun MKO ABIOLA, was moved by Patrick Obahiagbon.

Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon Presented and pursued on the floor of the parliament the need to intervene on the matter of the non- payment of contract fees by the federal government, this was done on behalf of his constituent,Mr Aigbe Benard.

He Sponsored a Bill on the prevention and regulations against the reckless deployment of Military officers for civil duties.

He Co-Sponsored a Motion on the incessant Maltreatment and Dehumanizing search on Nigerians by Foreign Airlines and Immigration officials.

He Sponsored a Bill for an Equitable formula in the allocation of revenue between the three tiers of government.

He Co-Sponsored a Bill preventing discriminatory practices against Albinos.

Before now we have made public some constituency projects of Obahiagbon and we have also recently started backing it up with pictorial evidence.

Just as we continue to bring out the good work of Obahiagbon, let it be noted that these are verified, we have seen beyond the grammars, and we use this medium to request for issue based campaign, constructive arguments and criticism.

Edo South senatorial hopeful Obahiagbon mourns Chief Tony Anenih, as seen viral on his facebook account and equally posted by his media aides

*My sincere condolences goes to the family of late Chief Tony Anenih who has gloriously transited to empyrean ensconcement.

Chief Tony Anenih's transition is indeed a colossal loss to all, as he was a great personage not just to us in Edo but the nation in caboodle. He will be greatly missed for constantly promoting the good people of Edo state in highly exalted positions in Nigeria's political atmospherics.
In fact, his solid political interventions in the corpus of our pax Nigeriana shall remain coruscatingly etched in the Nations encephalon and non pareil.He truly emblematized a savoir-faire predilection in his political peregrination.

Even as we mourn his transition,let us also be consoled because he lived a very productive life.His presence was felt as the Iyasele of Esan land and a bridge builder for Edo State and Nigeria.

Born in Oredo local government to the family of OROKHIRI, Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon is a Nigerian Politician and Legal Practitioner. He began his political career as a councillor in Oredo Local Government Council of Edo State.

Thereafter, he was elected as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly between the year 1999 - 2003, as a very active member who took on the noble responsibility of making laws focussed primarily on people's initiative for the benefit of his result oriented constituency, he rose to become leader of the house in 2003 - 2007.

The good people of Oredo Federal Constituency knowing of his enviable political prowesses, elected him to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives where he served actively showcasing the true meaning of representation and contributed positively in all matters that affects the Nation for four years (2007 - 2011)

In the year 2012, Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon was appointed Chief of Staff to the then Govenor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole; his good heart was still noticed by the people throughout his stay in office as he distinguished himself effortlessly and served his people with an increasingly business -like dedication

Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon's wealth of experience brought to the focal point of good governance, is currently the Special Adviser on National Assembly matters to the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
