“Not completing my tenure as national chairman of APC no big deal – Oshiomhole, thanks 14 members elect for keeping to faith, others
Immediate past governor of Edo state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has said that it does not matter that he did not complete his tenure as national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He stated this on Monday during the party’s enlarged leaders’ meeting across Edo north senatorial district of the state, held at Auchi.
Oshiomhole had to step aside as national chairman of the party, following a law suit that affirmed his removal as a member of the party in his ward.
He however said that what matters is that he occupied the office of the national chairman of the party, for which he said he remains thankful to God for.
“I have every reason to be grateful to God for His grace upon me. It is on record that I did not only do eight years as governor, but the party also worked hard to have my successor elected on the platform. It does not matter what happened thereafter.
“I also was privileged to become the national chairman of our party and it does not matter even if I had spent just two days in that office. All that matters is that I occupied the office and it is a history that cannot be changed and for which I am grateful to God.
“It is for this reason that I have an obligation to continue to maintain and sustain the ladder which by the help of other people I used to climb up, so that others too can take advantage of that ladder to even climb higher than I did,” he said.
Commenting on members of the party who were elected to the State House of Assembly, but were yet to be inaugurated, Oshiomhole thanked them for keeping their faith, noting that even though they committed no sin, they are being denied their right to be sworn-in to represent their constituents.

TB Joshua’s Daughter on June 12 put to bed a bouncing Baby boy. Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, grandson
Some Nigerians who believe in reincarnation have described the birth of TB Joshjas grandson as a perfect exam of reincarnation considering how close the death and birth was, coupled with the fact that TB Joshua’s birthday is same as the baby’s birthday.
Politics / A Must Read “the Day Abacha Died” by ChrisOsaEdo(m): 10:55am On Jun 09
Friday June 5, 1998, was a cool bright day. Before we left the Villa, the Press Corps was informed that the leader of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation, Yasser Arafat, would be making a brief stop-over at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, enroute Morocco. And he was expected to hold a brief discussion with the General Sani Abacha. We were therefore expected to be at the airport to cover the event on Sunday, June 7. It was a topical assignment in view of Nigeria's neutral position in the Middle East conflict. Besides, the rest of us were keen to meet Mr. Arafat, the man at the centre of the storm.
That Sunday morning, the Press Corps headed for the airport to await the arrival of Yasser Arafat. We did not have to wait for too long before the Palestinian leader arrived, accompanied by a very modest delegation. President Arafat and General Abacha immediately went into private discussion at the VIP lounge of the Presidential wing of the airport. The Press outside waited curiously for the possible outcome of the talks between the two leaders, a kind of joint press conference, on all issues involved in the Nigeria-Palestine relations.
After the meeting, which was very brief, there was no press conference. Rather, Yasser Arafat inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the 3 Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army, and departed for Morocco. The whole airport ceremony lasted about two hours and we all returned to the Villa (Aso Rock).
Before leaving the Villa, I decided to cross-check with protocol officials if the Head of State would still be traveling to Burkina Faso to attend the OAU Summit, which was already at the Ministerial Session in Ouagadougou. The advance team of the Head of State's entourage had already left on Friday night. I was to be in the main entourage expected to leave for Burkina Faso on Monday morning, after Abacha would have declared open an International Information Conference expected to begin in Abuja Monday June 8. The Federal Ministry of Information organized the conference. It was normal during General Abacha's regime, that his movement was always kept topmost secret. As a matter of fact, those of us who used to travel with him would not know until few hours to our departure. So was our trip to Burkina Faso. They told me it was still on course.
With that assurance, I drove straight to NICON Hilton, Abuja where I had passed the previous night as a member of the Organizing Committee of the Information Conference. Six o'clock in the morning, Monday June 8, 1 1eft for the Villa, with my luggage to join the delegation to Burkina Faso for the OAU Summit. General Abacha was to head the Nigerian delegation. At the time I got to the Villa everything appeared quite normal. I met some of my colleagues who were also to be in the Head of State's entourage to Burkina Faso. At 7 a.m. that fateful day, we all assembled at the Press Centre waiting for the necessary directives. However, when it got to eight o'clock, and no signal was forthcoming about our movement, we decided to go and have our breakfast and reconvene in the next one hour. At that point everything in the Villa still appeared normal. Various officials were seen in their duty posts doing their routine jobs.
From the Villa, I drove straight to my house, had a quick breakfast, and decided to go through NICON Hilton hotel to inform my colleagues in the Organizing Committee about the uncertainty of our trip. On getting to the hotel, I saw people standing in groups, discussing. But I did not give a thought to their attention. I imagined that some of them were delegates or participants at the conference. So I quickly dashed into my room, returned immediately to the Villa to join my colleagues, to wait for further developments.
On driving to the Villa gate, a new atmosphere had taken over. The first gate had been taken over by new set of security operatives. I was not familiar with virtually all of them, except one Major whose name I could not remember immediately. The Major knew me by name. He was fully in charge of the new security arrangement, dishing out instructions in a very uncompromising manner. Initially, I did not take it as anything very serious. As a well known person in the Villa, I was confident that my entrance was just a matter of time moreso when I was hanging my State House identity card around my neck. All my expectations were wrong as I was bluntly ordered to go back. All explanations and introductions on my mission to the Villa were helpless. The instruction was clear go back! go back! they shouted at all visitors. At that delay many cars had formed long queues. My immediate reaction was to seek the assistance of the Major, whom I had identified earlier, to save me from the tyranny of his men. Before I could approach him he shouted, "Ogbonnaya go back!" While I was still battling to wriggle out of what was seemingly a hopeless situation, I noticed a woman right behind me, almost hysterically screaming, that she had an early morning appointment with the First Lady, Mrs. Maryam Abacha. The woman apparently must be coming from the National Council of Women Societies from her dressing. My shock was the way she was instantly assaulted by those stern looking security operatives. At that point, I quickly got the message; I drove away from the scene as quickly as possible. Though my mind was everywhere but my immediate conclusion was that there was a coup because I could not imagine any other thing that could have caused such a high level of security alert. I therefore decided to drive straight to the International Conference Centre to alert my Director General on the latest development. He was attending the conference as a participant.
At the International Conference Centre, I saw some Ministers standing at the lobby in anticipation of the arrival of Abacha and his team. Immediately they saw me, they became very agitated, and almost simultaneously asked me, "is the C-ln-C already on his way?" I said, "no, I am not really sure he is coming. But let us hope he will still make it". I knew, as a matter of fact, that I had not really provided them with the desired answer, but that was the much I could tell them. While they were still pondering on the uncertainty of my reply, I left and quickly walked into the hall where I met my Director-General, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Michika. He was already seated with other participants. I called him aside. "Sir, I don't really know what is happening in the Villa. I suggest that you leave this place now!" Without betraying any emotion, he quickly asked me what was the situation in the Villa like, I told him all that I saw. I repeated my advice and that I had not been able to confirm what exactly was happening. I then made it clear to him that it was no longer safe for him to continue staying in the conference, and so should quietly take his leave. Alhaji Michika immediately went back to his table, took his pen and papers and followed me out of the hall.
The moment we were outside, I asked him if he came with his car. He said yes, but because of the extraordinary security arrangement put in place in anticipation of the arrival of the Head of State, it was difficult locating his driver. I then suggested that we should use my car which he obliged. I drove him straight to his house instead of the office. Both of us agreed that he should remain at home for the time being, while I promised to keep him informed about the development. This panic measure was as a result of the usual trauma which Radio Nigeria Management Staff often pass through each time there was a military coup d'‚tat in Nigeria. The first target usually is the FRCN Broadcasting House. The management and staff on duty usually pass through hell in the hands of the military boys in their desperate effort to gain entrance into the studios at record time for the usual "Fellow Nigerians" broadcast.
From my Director-General's residence I decided to get to NICON Hilton Hotel to assess the situation there before heading back to the Villa. At the hotel the atmosphere was rather sombre. There were a few cluster of people; some of them who recognized me, rushed and demanded to know what was happening at the Villa. "Orji, is it true that there is a coup at the Villa?", they asked. I said, "well I don't know". At that time, the BBC, CNN and International Media had begun to speculate on the confused situation.
From their countenance I could see they were not satisfied with my answer. They thought probably that I was withholding some information. But they never knew I had none. I felt very uncomfortable. As a reporter covering the State House, I was equally restless that I could not give a valid answer on what was happening on my beat. I recognized too that it was utterly wrong to depend on others for information about events unfolding in my beat. I instantly felt challenged to get back to the Villa. I was equally aware that such an adventure was fraught with a lot of risk. But that is the other side of journalism as a profession.

Edo state APC governorship candidate in the Edo gubernatorial election, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu has congratulated Governor Obaseki over his victory at the Supreme Court.
Pastor Ize-Iyamu wrote this in a letter directed to Godwin Obaseki.
Read letter below
To: His Excellency, Mr Godwin Obaseki,
Executive Governor of Edo State,
GRA, Benin City.
Last Friday’s judgement of the Supreme Court, puts an end to the series of litigations we had over last year’s governorship elections.
For the records, Your Excellency, your supporters had instituted thirteen (13) different pre-election cases against my deputy and I; all seeking to disqualify us from participating in the election. On our part, our party, the APC had only one case against Your Excellency and your party.
We also deliberately did not go to the Elections Tribunal, not because we did not have issues but because we felt it was better to allow you face the job at hand, moreso as our party at the National level had congratulated you.
We are happy that all these cases have come to an end. Now that it is all over, please accept my congratulations.
Having said that, I want to appeal to you to kindly consider the pertinent issues of the 14 constituencies, including the two in your local government – Oredo and the two in your deputy’s local government – Etsako West, that are presently without representation at the Edo State Assembly. Though the matter is in court, you are in a vantage position to consider an out-of-court settlement of the issue, in the overall interest of our state.
Your Excellency would also do well to intervene in the issue of elected Local Government Chairmen, Vice-chairmen, Councilors and Supervisory Councillors, who sometime ago, were suspended and removed from office. Our appeal is that you consider paying them their entitlements since it is now late for them to return to their offices. This can also be through the out of court settlement.
Your Excellency, for us in the APC, as the opposition party in the state, we have a duty to ensure that your government does the right thing always.
Once again, I congratulate Your Excellency and I wish you well.
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu

Crime / How Inibong Umoren Initially Agreed For Peaceful Sex, Suspect In Umoren’s Death by ChrisOsaEdo(m): 8:48pm On May 14
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has paraded Uduak Frank Akpan, the suspect in the death of a job seeker, Inibong Umoren.
Uduak, according to the state Police Commissioner, Andrew Amiengheme, was paraded today to dispel the rumour that he committed suicide in police custody.
While fielding questions from journalists, the suspect revealed that he invited Umoren over for a fake job and then demanded to have sex with her.
According to him, she agreed to his demand but became furious which made her hit him on the head with a stabiliser, which he in turn used on her before she died.
Uduak said, “I asked her whether she can work on a farm as a secretary, she said she can and that she’s ready to do the job. So, when she came, I revealed to her that this farm doesn’t exist and that it was just a hoax.
“I told her that before she leaves that I’ll like to have sex with her, and she agreed. But she gave a condition that I should use a condom, which I did. When I removed the condom, she became furious, so she took the nearby stabiliser to hit me on my head. Then she bit my left ring finger.”
He continued, “In a bid to stop her, I used the stabiliser to hit her and she fell and started bleeding, thereafter she died.”
When asked to state the number of people he has killed, Uduak said Umoren is the only one but about six other women have fallen victim to his antics.
Meanwhile, Umoren has been laid to rest today in Akwa Ibom amid tears and wailing from family members and friends.

PDP LEADERSHIP SCHOOL’S IKIMI OVER COMMENTS, DEMANDS OBASEKI REVEALS HOW MUCH AND THOSE HE PAID FOR HIS TICKET
The Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) doesn’t seem to be ready to take chances , as the happenings so far poses their readiness to reply any orchestrated response that attempt to contravene the resolution reached by the state EXCO .
This has brought us to the response by the PDP to Chief Tom Ikimi’s comments on resolution reached by the state EXCO against activities of Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki in the party.
Chrisosamedia.com have been furnished with a reply by the State EXCO which directly touched all points raised by Chief Tom Ikimi, more like schooling the PDP Chieftain,
The statement released on Thursday, also demanded to know how much, and who are those that were paid for the Governor to cling the PDP gubernatorial ticket.
The statement reads
“THE INFLATED EGO OF CHIEF TOM IKIMI, DEFLATED BY HIS ACTIONS.
1. Status level? No one understand what this means except you. You are in a better position to educate us on this because of your constant movement from one party to another(forming APC in your bedroom like you always say).
2. We plead with you not to re-write history. Gov. Tambuwal joined the party and picked a Deputy from PDP. His Deputy left and became the APC candidate at the election. Gov. Tambulwa never requested for the dissolution of Sokoto Exco but worked wholeheartedly with the Exco to win his election. Kindly cross check as we know that age is no longer kind to your retentive memory.
3. Gov Otorm never requested for the dissolution of Party Exco. The chairman of the party at the time of joining the party was Hon. John Ngede and he remains the chairman of the to date. He appointed the State Vice chairman, Treasurer, and financial Secretary as Special advisers of cabinet rank. And in return he nominated some people to be considered as replacement.
4. We kindly request you pick up your dictionary and look up the words “ integration” and “harmonisation”. They have different meanings. We wish to state that our Party Exco at various levels were constitutionally elected for a tenure of four years just like the Governor and his Deputy. They cannot be dissolved with a Fiat at the pleasure of people like you who have little or no feelings for others. Those interested in contesting their positions should wait until the end of their tenure.
5. Perhaps, this is a perfect moment for the Governor to speak out about the much talked about buying the ticket. The Governor should name all the leaders he gave money for His ticket. Barka de sallah”

Politics / What Obaseki Must Do For Genuine Reconciliation- PDP by ChrisOsaEdo(m): 7:58am On May 13
The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have opened up on what Godwin Obaseki must do if truly he wants genuine harmonisation with the party and it’s members in the state.
This was contained in a written rosloluton from PDP stakeholders meeting on Monday.
The letter which has since been a topic of interest on the ChrisOsaMedia.Com , also reflected that the Governor is working to dissolve EXCO members of the PDP at all levels of the state, while the party at the state level is kicking against this. The party through the letter signed by it’s state Chairman and Secretary also stated that the Governor is losing focus in keeping promises made to Edo people during electioneering campaign.
According to the resolution sent to National Chairman of the party by the Edo State leadership of PDP, they insist that if there should be any harmonization that it must begin from the office of the Governor, while registering their displeasure as to the reappointment of Barr. Osarodion Ogie as SSG, they also stated that the Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu must resign as Deputy Governor, while someone else will be nominated from the old PDP will take his seat Deputy Governor seat.
Part of the resolution as obtained by ChrisOsaMedia.Com reads, The genesis of this looming crisis results from the acquiescence of the National Working Committee members who negotiated Godwin Obaseki’s movement to PDP, to reach a verbal or written agreement on the integration of the new members vis a vis the sharing of appointments, after the elections had been won. We therefore condemn Gov. Obaseki’s re-appointment of his former SSG without any consideration for the legacy PDP he joined. To this end, they have consistently sang a tune of “harmonization” ever since Obaseki was sworn in, know that he now has the “yam and the knife”. *We have resolved strongly, that if any harmonization MUST take place, it MUST start from the Governor’s office, where his Deputy Governor should resign and a Deputy nominated from the old PDP is sworn in. This can be a spring board for broad harmonization across the state party organs*
The proposed dissolution and, or harmonization are designed to hold Edo people and the PDP to ransom by the Obaseki led administration. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS. Edo people voted for PDP and Godwin Obaseki to deliver the dividends of democracy to them, but if Gov. Obaseki wills to conduct governance by a triumvirate of the Governor, the Deputy Governor and the SSG, so be it. If he wishes to appoint only his friends and former APC colleagues in his cabinet and sundry positions, and leave out the legacy PDP members, so be it. We, the Peoples Democratic Party leadership will not accede to any form of harmonization that has no backing or interpretation in our party constitution.

Oshiomhole, Oyegun advocates oneness, unity, as Edo state APC holds stakeholders meeting
Two Former National Chairmen who had served as Edo State Governors, a former Governor and two estwhile deputy governors were among many party stalwarts, who attended the Stakeholders meeting of the Edo APC on Saturday.
Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the pioneer National Chairman and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, his successor attended the meeting with former governor Oserhiemhen Osunbor and his estwhile deputy, Chief Lucky Imasuen as well as former Deputy governor Dr Pius Odubu.
At the event, Chief Oyegun commended the State Caretaker Committee of the party, led by Col David Imuse Retd for the success of the just concluded Membership registration exercise of the party in the state.
Chief Oyegun predicted that the future is very bright for the APC. He said, “Let us put the past behind and let us look at the future”. He then reiterated his membership of the party saying, “I am APC… I belong to APC body and soul”.
The new chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Ibadan also appealed to party leaders to recognize the role of party members in the growth of the party.
In his words, “Every member of the party including party leaders have a contribution to make for the improvement and success of the party”, adding, “No individual can be greater than the party”.
Also speaking Comrade Oshiomhole urged party members in the state to close ranks and work with the leadership of the party at the State and all other levels, harmoniously in the overall interest of the party.
On his part, Col Imuse praised all the members of the party for the huge success of the concluded membership registration exercise adding that the turnout of eager voters to join the party was quite impressive, when considered against the backdrop of the fact that our party is in opposition in Edo state.
Col Imuse said, “…right now, the APC has a very credible and reliable data base of its members, in every unit across the entire country. Our party is now a stronger and more united party as a result of the exceptional membership registration exercise.
“The implication of this healthy development is that in subsequent, free and fair elections, our party is confident of undisputable victory. But this does not mean we should rest on our oars. We must stay focused, awake, and be alert to the whiles of our opponents. We must keep working as one, united and indivisible members of the APC, so that, we can stop them, very early, on their nefarious tracks”.
The Stakeholders meeting had in attendance a member of the Board of trustees, Prince Malik Afegbua, former and serving members of the National Assembly, including Rt Hon Razak Bello-Osagie, Rt Hon Gabriel Oiboh, Senator Francis Alimikhena, Hon Dennis Idahosa, Patrick Aisowieren among others

AMAECHI WIFE LOOTED N48 BILLION FROM NDDC, MINISTER GOES COLD, BEGS FOR SOFT LANDING – PointBlank Reports
Nigeria’s Minister for Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi is grappling to save his wife, Mrs. Judith Amaechi from probe over the looting of N48 billion from a contract she received from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, when Nelson Brambaifa was the acting Managing
Brambaifa, a lackey of Amaechi was appointed Acting MD of NDDC in January 2019. He was sacked in August 2019 following allegations of
corruption in NDDC under his leadership.
Sources at the NDDC conversant with the deal told Pointblanknews that Mrs. Amaechi had through her Non for profit organization,
Empowerment Support Initiatives, ESI, received a N70billion contract from the agency to train Niger Deltans in skills such as Tailoring, Soap making, Carpentry and others.
After the award of contract to ESI, sources told Pointblanknews that Mrs Amaechi’s wife received N48billion.
Mrs. Amaechi’s ESI said it trained of over 2000 women and youths drawn from the twenty-there LGAs of RIVERS STATE and non-indigenes in COLD PROCCES SOAP MAKING, trained 100 women drawn from the 23 LGAs RIVERS STATE in elaborate fashion Designing in the following areas: Patterns and cuttings, Sewing, Finishing, Fashion &Designing, Colours, Packing, General Management of Business.
Other training ESI claimed was done includes:
Elaborate skills Training programme in Fashion Designing Facilitated by a renowned Fashion
Designer, Ade Bakare Couture for the following artisans in the fashion industry: Sewing and tailoring, Hat Making & Millinery, Bead Making,
Fashion Illustration, Fashion Modelling.
Mrs Amaechi’s ESI was a major contractor with the NDDC and she used Brambaifa who was nominated for the acting MD position in NDDC by her husband to collect several contracts running into billions most of which were never done, a source at the agency told pointblanknews.
While one source said the N48billion was paid to ESI in split payment of N4billion monthly, another source at the Finance Department of the NDDC told pointblanknews that the N48billion was paid in installment payment of N4billion weekly.
A report of the scandalous contract has now been tabled before theAttorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, who in turn is alleged to have used it to threaten the Transport Minister.
Amaechi and Governor Ahmed Elrufai of Kaduna state are both eyeing the Presidency and Vice Presidency in 2023. They belong to a rival group in the All Progressive Congress, APC, that is opposed to the Malami group.
Sources told Pointblanknews that the report of the N48billion contract from the NDDC is now being used to silence Amaechi and torpedoed his ambition.
“Amaechi now runs to Tunde, Buhari’s PA to help him lobby Malami so his wife is not prosecuted. This is why Amaechi no longer talks tough or says anything to his supporters about 2023 or his ambition. He is very worried,” a source close to the Transport Minister told Pointblanknews.
According to the source, Amaechi is afraid that the Attorney General may use the documents of the looting in his custody either now or in the future to blackmail him.
The former MD of NDDC, Prof Brambaifa, his sons, David and Christopher Brambaifa, former Executive Director of Finance, Chris Amadi, his wife Anna, Preye Brambaifa, Greg David Osuma, Clara Osuma, Mike Ayapaye, Uche Aleke, Sunday Aguebor, Brigadier Charles Nengite and Tony Chukwu, most of whom are Amaechi’s lackey were all accused of looting over N100billion within three months of Brambaifa’s tenure.
While Nengite is currently facing prosecution by the Military, the rest are yet to be prosecuted.
Sources told pointblanknews that Brambaifa had told investigators when he was first interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that he gave N66billion to support the Buhari’s Presidential Campaign in 2019.
The N66billion according to insiders was allegedly giving to Amaechi who was a member of the APC Presidential Campaign team.
In 2017, Amaechi told a Nigerian Television Station during an interview that he is not corrupt and don’t like money.
“I have told Nigerians and I repeat today that I am not corrupt and that I don’t like money. I am not one swayed by money.
“I have lived a character that most Nigerians can tell you.

Insecurity: “Only PDP Can Help The President, Says Obaseki, Channels Blame To APC, Buhari’s Government
Governor Godwin Obaseki has blamed the mismanagement of the nation’s economy by Buhari’s government for the insecurity challenges.
This is even as he alleged that Nigeria is where it is today as a result of ‘the lawlessness and indiscipline’ of the ruling party, the APC.
Obaseki stated this Tuesday night while receiving members of the south-south zone working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by its National Vice Chairman, south-south, Dan Orbih.
The governor identified insecurity as one of the country’s biggest challenges
He however urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country amid the challenges facing the country, but work collectively to ensure a better Nigeria.
“We should not lose hope in Nigeria but focus on how to create confidence to give our people hope by managing the country well. The challenges of insecurity just show the dysfunctionality of our federal system,” he said.
Obaseki noted that it would be difficult to deal with security challenges until the federal government decentralized the nation’s security architecture and address the security structural imbalance
“We run a federation; we have three tiers of government: federal, state and local governments. Why should security be exclusive to the federal level? What happened to the other two? Until we address that structural imbalance, we are not going to be able to deal with security at its core.”
“The country has a major problem and it’s only the PDP that can help the President solve the problem, not his party.
Orbih said: “The southwest and south-east have both formed a security network to protect its people. As south-south, we need to look for a way to check insecurity and protect our people in the region.
“We appeal to you to lead the stand for state policing. It’s time to rejig the security architecture of Nigeria. We urge you to lend your voice to the struggle to make the country safe for all.”

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has urged students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, to support ongoing reforms to reposition the institution.
The governor said this during a courtesy visit by the executives of the Student Union Government (SUG) led by the President, Osamagbe Eghobamien at the Government House in Benin City.
Obaseki urged the students not to allow themselves to be used by some elements within the school community to distract the government from its vision to reposition the institution.
He said, *“I need to do some real clean up in your school. It is in your interest to stay and persuade your colleagues because if there is any strike action and the school is shut down by the government, it is not going to be in your interest.*
*“Your school, as far as I am concerned, is open. If you people have gone on strike, we want to resolve that. I advise the other unions to be responsible. Please do whatever you can to advise them. They are pushing us to take a certain decision that will not be in your interest.*
*“Let the rest of your colleagues know this: I don’t want to do what they are pushing me to do. Strike as a tool for negotiation is old fashioned. I have a choice to leave the school as it is so that you guys can resolve the problems that you have, but over time, your certificate will not be worth much and you can’t do much in the world with it except we reposition the school to be more forward-looking,” he noted.*
Obaseki added, “Let us face the problems once and for all. I know we like shortcuts. The world has changed. For us as a government, whatever will not last, we will not do.”

*Breaking News; Obaseki, disqualified, not cleared to contest governorship election under APC*
*_...talk with PDP hit rock, as Governor considers AAC_*
Edo state Embattled Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and his mobilization committee chairman Mr. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen has been disqualified by the APC screening committee from contesting Edo state Governorship election under it's platform.
Obaseki who had earlier stated on Wednesday that the screening committee faulted him for his regular patronage for anti party activities, had also been fingered in an alleged forgery of certificates ranging from three credits in WAEC, alleged certificate from University of Ibadan, and even his NYSC certificate.
The disqualification which was made known on Friday may have shattered Obaseki's dream for second term as APC seems to be in total control haven received many defectors from it's main opposition party PDP.
Meanwhile the embattled Governor is not giving up yet, as there are reports that he may be considering contesting under the AAC, as the main opposition PDP has rejected granting him his desire of an automatic ticket without any contestation.
The embattled Governor was accused of several anti party activities and also his certificate saga. ChrisOsaMedia.Com can recall that the Governor have since lost grips of party men after so many years of marginalization and maltreatment from the Governor, majority of party faithfuls have since concluded not to support the Governor for a second term, whether the Governor will contest the September 19th election is yet unknown.
Accoriding to the screening committee, those who are cleared to contest the primary election of Edo APC are Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu and Hon. Osaro Obaze.

*Obaseki allegedly nursing plan to demolish Edo APC Secretariat*
Embattled Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki is yet to give up his plans to force himself on the people for second term ambition.
The Governor haven lost support of party faithfuls in the state has since resolved to autocratic measures to ensure he coerces the support of party members, despite his numerous violent measure he has continued to put in place to show the people that there will be consequences for anyone who chooses to oppose him, the people have stood their ground, willing to face any consequences from the Governor
They have been numerous threats to close businesses of those against him down, the recent was the demolition of the hotel belonging to an APC chieftain who Comr Tony kabaka, who made it clear that he was never going to support the incumbent Governor for a second term
After the NWC of the party changed the location of it's Edo state secretariat with a written letter duly signed by the National Chairman of the party Comr Adams Oshiomole, ChrisOsaMedia.come gathered that the Governor in is usual way of violence is alleged to have concluded plans to commence demolition of that new secretariat of the party in the state, which is located on No. 18 Ighiwiyisi street off airport road, Benin City.
It is alleged that Mr. Osagiede, who Obaseki is parading as his own APC (illegal) state publicity secretary, while discussing with some of his friends, boasted that there is no cause for alarm as the state government is perfecting plans to demolish the newly approved Edo state APC Secretariat.
The reason behind Obaseki’s intention to demolish the Secretariat is not far fetched as the Governor may have understood that his puppet Chairman Anslem Ojezua who has since been suspended by majority of party state excos, will not be functioning especially now that the governorship primary election has since been slated to hold June 22nd, and coupled with the fact that the embattled Governor losing grip of party faithfuls, and the only way he could emerge as candidate of the party is through coercion and violence, which the party and Edo people have vowed to resist.
Politics / *edo2020; Fake Governorship Primary Result Sheet; Obaseki's Media Handlers Flop by ChrisOsaEdo(m): 6:01pm On Jun 09, 2020
*Edo2020; Fake Governorship Primary Result Sheet; Obaseki's media handlers flopped*
Very eager to save his face from his fake result related issues which is currently been circulated online and most popularly discussed topic, in haste to prove a point where there is none, Edo state embattled Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki via his sycophantic media handlers have again resulted to dishing out propagandas to tarnish the image of the National Working Committee of APC after so many failed attempts.
Most recent of the propaganda is the fake Gubernatorial primary election result sheet which was posted by majority of the Governor’s SSA on social media.
Considering the fact that the result sheet was hurriedly typed, therefore the obvious error whereby it was published without the inclusion of all aspirants of the party like Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, his name was omitted from names typed by the propagandists, it still baffles us how they emanated their imaginary scores and accorded to each aspirants even while screening is yet to take place.
While we at ChrisOsaMedia.com can understand that the Obaseki's media handlers are doing all this to justify their monthly pay, it is also suspected that the fake result is emerging just to add fake credence to the Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu's earlier statement on a National TV that the result of direct primaries will be ready even before the process takes place, one wonders how that is possible.
Although party faithfuls and the general public are already aware of Obaseki’s continuous attempt to blackmail the person of Comr Adams Oshiomole, who is the National Chairman of the APC, it is important we set the record straight that, Comr Adams Oshiomole is a man of credibility as he has always displayed as National Chairman of the ruling party APC and as a one time Governor of Edo State, kindly disregard the fake result doctored by Obaseki's media handlers.
