You guys should stop creating appointment when you are not ready or have admission yet. This is how you all are creating problems for those who have admission already and ready to start studies. Now they are suffering long queue of appointment. What is the need of doing that. Wait till you get admission and book appointment. Nigerians!!
You are very rude and quick to react. If you were patient enough and scrolled down a bit, you would have read where someone answered me already. I asked that question because I saw on YouTube where someone advised that it should be done like that.
Be tactful in all your dealings. Peace!

Which consulate is this exactly. Because I had my own interview at the Lagos embassy yesterday morning, August 20th, and my visa was issued this morning August 21st, on my caec portal. Exactly 24hrs after my interview. Infact I was called to come and collect my passport today.
Hello. Congratulations on your scholarship and Visa. Please I am on the verge of submitting my applications for PhD. I have written my Personal statement and Statement of Purpose for one of the schools and I will need your help reviewing them. That is if you don't mind. Can I email you?

You are earning 30k as a teacher? This is very strange and sad. What is your qualification?
Hardeybohwarley:
You're right, I recently tendered my resignation to my school management. Can't imagine earning 30k per month and only collecting 20k as 10k goes for contribution.

The reason many are still there, is because they don't have options.

If someone is ready to support some male teachers, many would have dropped teaching to learn one skill or the other.

GraduatesGrant:
Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I visited this thread.

Auckland is quite a busy place—I used to think Lagos was hectic until I arrived here. Lol.

If you're applying for a PhD, you need to be strategic and ensure your research interests align with New Zealand’s future goals.

If you're considering the master's route—which I personally find expensive—I’d recommend looking into a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma. It’s more affordable, allows you to bring your partner, and grants you a three-year post-study work visa upon completion. Most PG diplomas cost about half the price of a master’s degree here in NZ.

Also, if you have a family and the financial capacity to support them, you can apply for your visa along with them—whether you're coming for a master's or a PhD. There's no law stating that only PhD students can bring dependents. However, you need to be very thorough with your application, especially your proof of funds and your statement of purpose.

Lastly, I’m happy to assist anyone seeking information about the admission process or visa application.

Please note: I will never ask you for money for any assistance.

My support will come in the form of guidance—not doing the work for you. Lol.

Wishing everyone aspiring to come to NZ all the best on your relocation journey.

Ngā mihi.
Thank you so much for this. It feels great hearing from someone who has passed through this hurdle. I started my application yesterday and I will need your guidance. Please how do I contact you?

Okay I didn't know she used the wrong link. However, the waiting time on the new portal shows 2 to 8 weeks now.
pineapplejuice:
No, this link is supposed to be for Category A students, people have just been sharing it saying you can get an appointment through it. It says clearly in the email that you are to bring he documents requested on the consular services portal. You're supposed to use this link after you've booked on the portal, had your documents verified and been told to book an appointment. They havent started attending to Category B on the portal at all. They link your application to the application on the consular services portal right there during the interview. If you go with an appointment from thr link, you'll be told you've booked under the wrong Category, it has happened to people already. The waiting list from the old portal is still valid.
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by christabeli: 3:48pm On Jul 31, 2025
Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. But if I were you, I will gather the right documents, prepare for my written test and honour the 11th of August invitation. Afterall, what will it cost you?
On a side note, I have discovered that booking in the new portal now gets closer appointment than in time past. I think that the embassy is trying to correct the long waiting time.

Good afternoon my seniors
Please i have a few questions and i would appreciate if anyone can help me with them.i am new here thank you
I got and admission from university of Hochshule Bremen on the 17th of July 2025 and i tried booking and appointment date on the 19th of July using this website https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/appointment_showMonth.do?locationCode=lago&realmId=1298&categoryId=3101&dateStr=19.08.2025 and when applying i did a mistake with my email but on the website my appointment date is not the 11th of next month but after sending them email to rectify the mistake and confirm if the appointment is valid under the appointment number
I got a mail saying there is no appointment on their website for that appointment number, few days later i got the mail that was sent to that previous wrong email which is ---The Federal Foreign Office’s appointment management system---

Dear Aminat Oladimeji,

You have booked the following appointment to apply for a Student visa at the German mission abroad in Lagos:
on 11.08.2025 at 07:30.

Your appointment number is 24040872.

Please print out this confirmation and make sure to bring it with you to your appointment as this is the only way to gain access.

You are required to present all original documents requested through the Consular Services Portal as well as a prepaid courier service envelope.

You cannot change or correct your information in the booking. If the information you have provided is not correct, then you must first cancel the appointment and then schedule a new one. Please also cancel your appointment if you no longer require or are unable to attend it. This will help to make the waiting time for everyone as short as possible.

Please use this link to cancel the appointment.

Kind regards,
Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany
in Lagos
So my question is with this now,do I have an appointment for 11th of August or there is no appointment and i have to book another one through the new portal.thank you

Hello. Were you able to book without your admission letter and blocked account?
Mallamai:
Someone booked today for a visa appointment and admission letter and blocked account was optional. I tried to book now but I need to submit admission letter and blocked account. What am I doing differently?
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by christabeli: 3:56pm On Jul 23, 2025
Thank you for your response. Has anyone here applied successfully using the New portal without getting an admission?
Optim56:
I'm not too sure about this, because in the new csp, you have to submit admission letter before you can even submit to be added to waiting list for appointment. If you want it to go fast, you have to be applying for PhD, have scholarship or proficient in german. Unless, there's another system I'm not aware of. If anyone knows such system, please share 🙏🏽

Hello everyone. I intend applying to some schools in Germany next year for the winter semester. I have read through some of the pages and I saw that it takes a while to get visa appointment.
My question is, can I book a visa appointment now even without applying for schools? If not, when is the right time for me to book?

Good day, please for this, do you need to be online at the same time as your students? Also, does it have a class size limit?

Thanks
No you don't. You can just send in activities for them to do. However, Google has recently launched the integration of Google Classroom and Google Meet. So you can do real time lessons with your students. That is Video lesson.
This is what I am currently using. Very Good if you have good network provider and if your students Mute their Mics while a lesson is going on.

Please, how does it work?
Go to play store and download Google Classroom.
Ensure that you and your student have existing Gmails. After you are done with the download, you will see an icon for creating class. You create a class and name it whatever you want, depending on what you want to use the class for. Eg: I named one of my classes Year 7 Gold History.
Proceed to a place written people, click on the + sign there to add your student.
After you are done adding your student, go through the classroom and study it.
You can send in work,Quiz etc there.

Since He studied a Non-education course, He just needs to do PGDE before he is allowed to write TRCN examination.

As in Nti better than Trcn?
NTI is a school that awards Post graduate Diploma in Education for those without B.ed while TRCN is just Nigerian teachers membership awarding body that recognises you as a teacher. They serve different purposes thus no need of comparing both. Infact if you have no B.ed nor PGDE for those that majored in Non- education courses, you won't be registered by TRCN.

CIE training is not down once a Year. Secondly, what is the essence of paying consultancy fee when, the information one needs is on CIE website? Finally, CIE online training is not 65Pounds except it is for the Self Study training. Tutor-led training is 150Pounds. The second group of CIE online-training is currently On. The last batch for 2018 will kick start November.

International General CertificateSecondary Examination: IGCSE, an exam offered by the University of Cambridge; CIE: Cambridge International Examination No requirements needed. On IGCSE, note that CIE training for some subjects has started. Some would end in March 2018. These CIE trainings are done once in a year. So, the earlier one starts, the better. The ones you do at your own pace have deadlines. The only difference is that you won't have to be at a particular venue to attend a training as it is for all face to face training. Online training are done at your pace but within a specified duration. You could chat with me on WhatsApp 07061963030. Our consultancy fee is N5,000. This is aside the fee university of Cambridge charges for each certification. There are different types of training so their prices vary. You may start today if you pay the consultancy fee of N5,000 to: Bank: Zenith Bank Plc A/C Name: KingsQ Tutors Academy Ltd A/C Number: 1015439810 Don't forget that it is a window opened by the University of Cambridge. It is open only once in a year. If you start late, you may have to do it in 2019. Some of the training have started already. Courses that are subject based, some of them, the accreditation cost is £65, others are less. 5, Association Avenue, Shangisha, Off CMD Road, Ketu Bus Stop, Ketu, Lagos We open: Monday to Friday, 6-7pm, Saturday, 10am to 4pm, public holidays 10am to 7pm.

Two options: first, to become a certified Cambridge Examination Officer, it will cost u only d consultancy fee of N5,000. Second, to be certified in any subject, it is consultancy fee of N5,000 plus £65.

Also, you can be certified in more than one subject or area but with separate payment for each of them...consultancy fee is paid only once. You would need a laptop with internet, or go to a cyber café to start the online course.
