Gbedulord: Hi nairalanders I know we are celebrating Independence day I saw this post on Tunde ednut IG page I decided to post it here I'm in a big pain look at the situation of the pupils passing through in Marewo Primary School in Akko Local Government Area in Gombe State while their politicians in that same state are flying there children abroad to give them better education while the others are suffering here in this 21st century look at a school we use to complain about racial discrimination look at what we are doing to ourselves https://www.instagram.com/p/CUaBS75L8JF/
9ja issues can turn one to a Bp patient. I've been trying & learning to get over it everyday for as long as I'm still here in 9ja.
Nigeriadondie: That is the inferiority complex of the average black man who gives preferential treatment to whites. You can imagine a black “bloody civilian” doing that to a soldier. It is either they flog him with koboko, brutalize him and even smash his windscreen if he dare not come down at the soldiers command. U can see the uselessness of all our force men who have no regard for the average citizens but want to bootlick a white foreigner.
A white & a diplomat you've read. The immunity of a diplomat in white skin strong gan.
Imustnottalk: everyone was scared because we are in society who don't value human life .I rememberd I read a story where a man helped an accident victim to the hospital only for the person to give up and the family arrested the man that he was the one that kill him just imagine
dettolgel: Sorry if you find it insultative I was trying to lighten the mood before talking about the sad and sorry state of our country.
By the way it seems you are new on this forum you shouldn't take everything people say here to heart or else you go just cause more problems for yourself ontop the one wey Buhari don drop for everyone.
odysey: when no paramedics to perform first aid, the bad roads won't help matters, a medical helicopter will be better but worse off all is the possibility that no hospital is equipped to handle such Truth is with that extensive damage and poor infrastructure (medical) he most likely wouldn't survived the trip to the hospital
dettolgel: @op it seems your brain is paining you.
When will Nigerians start reasoning like people with functioning brain?
If there is anyone to blame it is the government both past and present.
Why did I say so:
1. if past and present governments had fixed our health system, passerby would have called ambulance to come get him. The EMT would have started treating or at least stabilize him before taking him to the hospital thereby increasing his chance of surviving.
2. If the past and present governments had improved security and provide opportunity for the army of jobless youths, the chances of him being targeted would have been reduced.
As for the passerby, you want them to take him to the hospital that will reject him without police report.
In the cause of trying to get a police report if he dies, the police will arrest the good Samaritans. The helper will be held for murder and accused of assassination and forced to cough out a large amount of money before being set free.
This brings us to point 3. If the past and present governments had made genuine effort in cleaning the police force ordinarily citizens won't think twice to help victims and hospitals on their part won't turn back such victims for lack of police reports.
Yes, I put all the blame on the government on our demonic politicians that over the years have done nothing but rape and blunder this country. The blood of untimely death of any Nigerian due to factors related to the governments not doing their jobs either in the past or present is on the head of the politicians and their families.
Well, you've made your point young man or whoever you are but very disappointing & shameful that you would have to start off with an insult.
Learn to be civil, very helpful. It'll take you far. Thanks.
Sonnobax15: Please don't blame the on-lookers...Na NIGERIA we dey.....I've seen situations where good samaritans helped accident victims and they were later arrested by the Police... Just imagine the rubbish..
Olamotad: Some years back. A car in front of me caught fire and people was busy with there phone doing one funny video. Instead of them to help extinguish the fire. I was shocked to my bone marrow. just wondering.
I smashed someone's phone in a similar scenario and the person no smell me. My eyes were all red like near me make you die.
akus6060: Mehn this format is just too cheap and I believe that a toddler wouldn't even fall for that cheap scam, u mean somebody that has paid $3k can't complete the process by just paying $150? How are u sure that the employer is even in Canada ? Nigerians trying to work on u and after the first payment , other bills will start coming .
The sentences in the chat with the employer are wrong wrong english as same as the voice call of the agent. I suspect so.
osmosis101: any means of communication with the said person, like video call or something?...know more about him and tell us,u b naija guy na,y u dey talk like dis,na format be dat
delzbaba: I concur with that, however if he had survived his face would have been unrecognisable, he would need reconstructive surgery, artificial teeth and jaw bone,, he would probably be unable to eat solid food for a long time.,not to talk about months and months of rehabilitation, memory loss, loss of one eye, permanent retirement,,etc...
It will only cost money, which the family can afford.
Lamasta: Its so sad sincerely speaking reading about the gruesome murder of the doctor recently.... In all honesty if you are in the crime scene OP what would you have done in that kind of scenario
I'll help of course, not bragging. I've been in such scenario. Even the the late Dr Chike has been there.
My heart kept bleeding for the family of Akunyili. I've encountered him once, he's such a nice man with a large heart, a good one to a fault & so humble. A philanthropist & medical expert that have saved many lives on the ground of charity. A man that have saved many accident victims on highway, take them to his hospital if close & treat for free.
Dr.Chike would have survived that fatal shot if not for onlookers who were busy making videos of him. What has social media turn people into? Such thing don't happen in the Western world. Medical experts analyzed that his brain wasn't affected but left to die after struggle.
If only we can stop this madness when people need help than making videos.
obembet: Dear Nairalanders, This is the first time I will commend Power holding company in Nigeria. For the past 3 months, we are been enjoying steady light here in Port Harcourt ( CHOBA, Rumuosi, Eluos, Alakahia/UPTH, Rumuekini etc). As in 48hours under the sun, under the rain. We have been enjoying this for the past 3 months now. When this started about 3 months ago, I was thinking Officer charge of our area was Sleeping or they plan to give us light we supposed to use for one week in just a day because we hardly experience 2hrs before.
So, are you enjoying the same thing in your area?
Kindly give us update of your area.
Sure, same here. But I won't commend them again. Last time I commended their uninterrupted supply, that evening they took it back. Like say them hear me or saw my post somewhere.
Guys please help me, Two months ago,an employer in Canada I met online gave me a job offer to working on site there in Canada. I took the offer after the employer made a mouth watery promise of paying for the visa & flight ticket from the company's account BUT I'll payback the expenditures by deducting certain percent from my weekly salary for few months.
But a recent happening got me confused when my employer's travel agent in Nigeria started asking for 150dollars which is requested from the lady at the Canada visa office as charges. What charges again? This demand came after a-month-of-processing of the visa. I contacted my Canada employer about this development, he said I should go on & pay that he'll refund me with my proof of payment when I get over there. I haven't paid any dime since this started honestly. Meanwhile, the two documents required from me by my employer are; soft copies of the data page of my international passport & passport photograph only. My employer also told me he paid 3,000dollars for the visa processing under a month and could be refunded if I declare not interested. How possible?
Please experienced Nairalanders, is this a God's given opportunity or scam? Mature response will go a long way helpful please.
Cashio: the picture adding is absolutely unnecessary. Why do we need to know the brother? Or so it means those who don't have a popular brother won't be fought for if they needed justice...abeg remove that rubbish picture.
Gentlerespect76: It doesn't matter that she is a sister to a star; what's important is that what the soldier did to her should not be done to any human being.
Kobojunkie: Again.... Here's what is written in Isaiah 3 If you consider the mention of nose rings in the context above, does it sound like something the Lord is saying He is against?
Well, I never said God is against it. I talked about identifying slaves with it, sir.
Dtruthspeaker: They always always read the Bible either with Wishes, in the case Christ Applicants or with Pre-Judgments, in the case of Haters of God.
