Tonight's traffic is unusual. I've barely moved 50 metres in the last one hour... Is any Nairalander at this spot? Holler back; share your experience. |

A few minutes of research on google will show you that Lagos is the ancestoral home of some people... There ARE indigenous tribes in Lagos. So, pls get enlightened and stop misinforming people. |

I don't understand what respect one gives for not voting a lagosian. Is JK not a lagosian? Is democratic process of voting ones choice now a disrespect to a traditional throne in a federal nation? The igbos dont own lagos, I agree, but they still constitute a huge percentage of its population, and has the constitutional rights to vote and be voted for, in other for their interests to be favoured through good policies. Sis, the issue is NOT a contest about their rights to vote, or to be voted for. Rather, it is about RESPECT for the host community, its leaders and its institutions. |

Crime › SOS To Security Agencies In Lagos: Alarming Crime Rate @ Elesekan, (Bogije)! by Christianos(op): 7:24pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
In the last 3 months, our area has been besieged by robbers who attack weekly. The area has already witnessed incessant robberies, car-theft/vandalization.
We are constantly in fear and we urgently need the presence of the security agencies.
I know this is the election weekend, but if someone from the Police Force or the Civil Defence Office can find time to respond to this post, then I'll have good reason to believe in "Nigeria" again.
If any Nairalander can also help with this matter, I'll be glad.
Thank you, all. |

I got this track yesterday and I've been hooked since then. I've listened to the song, more than 30 times already! After so many songs about "ukwu", alcohol and other vanities, it feels refreshing to have a song that provides "clean" fun for all ages/events. Please share your thoughts about the song. |

This result thing has become boring and over-flogged. Let's ignore the result and focus on real issues. Which candidate has a better agenda? Which candidate can (and is willing to) improve the quality of lives of average Nigerians?
I'm not holding briefs for any party/candidate, but I think all these other issues are distractions and these politicians are deliberately chasing shadows in order to avoid addressing the real issues.
(I sincerely hope) Nigerians are SMARTER now! |

OP, I'm sorry abt your traumatic experience. I suffered something similar last week; my car was vandalized overnight. Sadly, Nigeria will remain what it is until we stop this senseless habit of politicizing serious issues. Instead of holding leaders accountable, our youths are busy chanting BMG or JEG. I hope we wake up soon and do the RIGHT thing, cos we are collectively responsible for what Nigeria is/becomes. |
