Politics / Re: Benin People Found Lagos — Oba of Benin by Christistruth03: 12:15am On Nov 28, 2023
Kukutenla:

Is Sanwo Lagos Ijebu or Ogun Ijebu?
Since you claim now that anyone can be governor anywhere in Yorubaland as long as he's Yoruba, can you give example of such happening in other states or is it restricted to only Lagos?

I. Yoruba Culture Ijebuland is one entity not to be Balkanized because Awujale is the highest Traditional of them all unless you want to return their Ancestral Territory to them

That would be half of Lagos State Land Mass Please

Everything East and North of Lekki including Ikorodu

He shouldn't add Edo state to Biafra because it will NEVER be apart of it. The edos and Biafrans have never agreed to be apart of eachother in history EVER. Biafra is for the igbos and anyone else who wishes to be apart of Biafra. Simon ekpa shouldn't add Edo to Biafra as biafran territory occupied are only in igboland

Good evening Brek

Simon Ekpa has already added Edo State to Biafra just like Ojukwu did

Who does that?

War Generals

Ojukwu didn't have Ordinary food to feed his people for just 3 months and yet he went to War

He was now using his people's Starvation as a Political Weapon

Ojukwu was a Rascal , his arrogance was almost beyond belief
saying Gowon's FG could collapse within 2 weeks if the international Community washed their hand off it
Meanwhile his own People were dying of Starvation everyday

By the way look at Ojukwu's cheeks did he look like he was Starving?

Saladdin:

This is the sanest thing to do, and I'm sure many Nigerians would love to do so. But this can invite serious trouble for you.

First, the Hospitals will not treat her without a police report.

Secondly, if they do treat her and no relative comes forward, her bill will be pinned on you, and you will not be allowed to leave.

Finally, if she dies you'll be held responsible for her death, and no amount of explanation may absolve you from the accusations on the part of the police and her relatives.

Nigeria is too bleeped up, in if a rich, influential and national gem like Dr. Chike Akunyili can die miserably in the open with everybody looking on and not rendering any assistance (taking him to the hospital/first aid) without the killers brought to book then know that you are on your own.

So sad.

The IG of Police has been asking Hospitals to treat even without Police Report

Didn't Ojukwu himself execute Banjo Ifeajuna Alele and Agbam for trying to end the War?

What was he now scared of?

Anyway leave that aside

Read the Below 1968 letter from azikiwe to Ojukwu begging for Ojukwu to give up the Futile War

azikiwe was not Ojukwu's age mate at all but he still was begging Ojukwu who was his Children's age mate to give up the War

azikiwe who was born in 1904 was older than Ojukwu's father ,so you can begin to appreciate the level of arrogance of Ojukwu
If Ojukwu had listened wouldn't more that 2.5 Million lives have been saved?

Listen to azikiwe your father and do let ipob Kanu and Simon Ekpa lead into a new Calamity

Did boro tell you that Ojukwu led troops to massacre his people in ND?

It was even the very same Ojukwu that arrested Adaka Boro and paraded him almost naked through the Streets after killing about 150 of Boro's men

Boro was sentenced to hang by Gen Ironsi's Govt meanwhile those who had murdered a Whole Prime Minister of Nigeria and 2 Premiers of the West and North were still collecting half Salary in Jail and had not yet been put on Trial one of them even got Promoted which had to be reversed later after an outcry

Are you high or something? and how did he lead 3 million biafrans to death if the Nigerian troops blockades the region where food was supposed to come in? Are you that stupid? This is basic Nigeria civil war knowledge

Ojukwu called himself a General
Even without being told he should have recorded his last message to his People and donated himself to the fishes of River Niger at Onitsha then he would have been a Hero

adaka boro was killed by a biafran soldier at Okrika

Truth is Light

Gen alabi isama was the one who saved the Life of the biafran soldier that killed boro after he was Captured by the Federal Soldiers,

Many Federal soldier's were ready to Finish him off immediately despite him being a Prisoner of War

alabi isama had to send the biafran soldier who killed adaka boro to be detained in Lagos for his own safety
He would not have Survived detention by the Federal 3MCDO troops in the East

Listen to ojukwu after the War just before he returned to the same Nigeria he fought
does he sound like he cares for anyone but himself?

Look at the nonsense ojukwu is now saying after leading 3 Million Souls into disaster and to the Grave because of his Ego

In the days of the ibadan warlords his own family would have surrounded him and asked him go to Sleep , Promised him a heroic funeral taken his last Will and Testament, and given him better poison to Swallow
( The one that would have quickly finished him off within 10 minutes and eliminated any unnecessary Drama like him fleeing to the Ivory Coast)

How dare he come back from leading his People into such a devastating defeat alive

No wonder Gowon called Ojukwu a Coward

Culture / Re: Why Can't I Find Hausa History Books? by Christistruth03: 11:48pm On Nov 24, 2023
Wulfruna:
Why is there an apparent lack of general history books about the Hausa in the precolonial era written by Hausa scholars?

After many years of searching, all I could find were works on the Sokoto Caliphate of the 19th century, mostly written by foreign scholars like Johnston and Murray Last. Professor Bala Usman wrote a good book on Katsina history in the precolonial period. But that is the history of just one Hausa city-state.

Why has no scholar deemed it fit to produce a work covering all the Hausa city-states from the earliest known times down to the beginning of colonialism?

I just thought this was a bit odd, given the fact that the Hausa were literate while most of Southern Nigeria was not, and so there must be written records in existence that could serve as sources for scholars to produce a general work of Hausa history.

There is a Story among Yoruba Historians that the Fulani got rid of the Hausa History books after the Jihad for Propaganda reasons

Although I was once able to download the 1000 year old Kano Chronicles from a British Website

I needed the History of Gobir because they are relatives of Yoruba but all I could get was the History of the Fulani Jihad and after

You know that if Hausa Women read the Full Story of the Hausa Queen Amina there could be big Trouble in the North

Lagos as former federal capital territory of Nigeria from 1900- 1991 represents the beauty of one Nigeria. Lagos belongs to no particular tribe but to every Nigerian irrespective of tribe, religion , gender or state . You cannot say you believe in one Nigeria and still say in another breathe another Nigerian should not buy land and develop house in Lagos state . It is hypocrisy and impossible ..You cannot tell a person where to live in Nigeria once they have their money and somebody willing to sell land . Go to lekki, epe etc and see the massive developments worth billions going on as I type this from people with money . You can’t stop a moving ocean. Obasa and co as Nigerian politician is just play with the brains of some shallow minded folks. If you are tired of one Nigeria, fight for Yoruba nation and be ready to spill your blood as that comes with it but for now it remains one Nigeria and Lagos is part of it

The Capital was Lagos Island

The rest of Lagos State was inside Awolowo's Western Region and that is over 95% of today's land mass of Lagos
