This is a keke plane, not built for
long distances, but trust Nigerians.

Kaduna - Port Harcourt is within the range and endurance of a Cessna 172. Its range is about 640 - 840 nautical miles ( 1,185 - 1,585 km). Kaduna to Port Harcourt is only 340 nautical miles (630 km). And I don't think the Pilots of the ill-fated aircraft would be stupid to fly it at night if it was not equipped with IFR (Instruments flight rules).

Cessna 172 aircraft is actually ideal for cross-country flights.
