Finally! they got the nominations right for the TV categories except for the comedies though..Emmys was such a joke. You would wonder if they watch TV at all. That's the only reason they would snub Tatiana Maslany(Orphan Black).

Mother of George was really good, one of my best movies this year and I have no idea why it's underrated though...but is it a Nigeria movie production? The plot was centred on a Nigerian family. I've not seen any of the Nollywood movies you guys are on about so I have no idea.

Prof, I love Sandra and she was fucking good in gravity but amongst these female leads I've seen so far: Cate blew me away, more like a powerhouse performance even better than her Elizabeth performance. I'm yet to see Judi Dench (Philomena) and I know Meryl streep will come in later when Osage is released.
I love that Blue is the warmest colour film. It's been an indie year for me anyways.

Prof, you missed the first critic award : New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) awards that held Dec 3. And it's given more consideration than the National Board of Review (NBR) award sef.

These were the winners:

Best Director: STEVE MCQUEEN ( DIRECTOR OF '12 YEARS A SLAVE)

By the way, 'HER' won the best picture at the National Board of Review awards yesterday. Quite ridiculous considering other contenders but it's an excellent film nonetheless.

Also include the Los Angeles Film Critics Award (LAFC) that holds December 8. It's a major award that may shift the oscar race as much as the NYFCC as slightly done.

They might just spread all these awards over the season...I was thinking 12 years a slave will sweep a lot but then again, all these films just have good claims for themselves. They should show love to Prisoners too(maybe they'll get SAG recognition sha)

So I just watched the Mid-season Finale..
Why the f**k do they have to kill Hershel off! Why!
I thought it would make much sense had the governor to killed Michonne, whom he was boiling for anyways though I understand he did Hershel because he would have more emotional impact on the group...but it should have been Michonne..

This show f**ked up, killing Hershel, then bringing some stupid characters I really could care less about...not even developing them either.

They better keep Daryl, Rick, Carl, Maggie and Glenn or I'm done!...well, a lot of questions and a really long wait till february. I hate all these hiatuses.

I never liked Olivia and that douched face president's relationship, it seems too forced, like they shoving it down people's throat to look like some epic love story..I like Mellie more, though she ha no chemistry with the president guy, which. I exactly what Shonda wanted anyways.
Anyone that watches(or watched) Grey's will see the similarities of Derek/Meredith in this Olivia/fitz snoozefest,which in the same Grey's i liked Addison more, though Addison wasn't a saint too.
Apart from that, the show is just ok, not bad not great either!

Matt Nathanson - All we are

I like him...though I haven't been following him in a while, I have no idea how his music is progressing. I think there's a way he writes that's really good, he creates this world you can relate to, using nature to describe things and all..the songs of his that I like:
Rainbow vein: I love this, it's actually my favourite. Fireflies, Vanilla twilight, Saltwater room.
These songs were from way back in Uni, haven't listened to him in a while, so I'll be following to see what you guys (core fans) say about him now.
Oh I just remembered, there's umbrella beach..second favourite!

Wow...All these hate on Carol though. I still like her, this episode pretty much highlighted how much she has changed from that defenceless, timid woman to well, this Carol..
Rick did the right thing, she really can't move on back at the prison with that dumbass Tyrese when truth comes out... I'm actually interested in her story and how she moves forward( if they'll show us).

That scene was it for me..from how she flinged the girls against the wall, to when she muttered " I couldn't toast a piece of bread with the heat they were putting on you" loool..that scene was right!
