Something that I have been saying since the 6th year of Buhari's government, it's today that world bank is telling us. Hisses. |
KGBKremlin:I just wanted to know so I can confirm too. It might be a rumor that the man was killed and it might be true. |
ArigatothankU:Live broadcast on what channel? |
helinues:The person that cursed you is dead. You can never amount to anything reasonable in life. People who are legal practitioners are telling you what it should be, you are here typing nonsense. |
Iran only targeted military bases and oil rigs. Israelis were asked to hide in bomb shelters. Even the entire government of Israel had to hide in bunkers last night. The targets were not civilians and that's the difference between them and Israel. Israel will kill just anybody to prove a point. For a country being accused of sponsoring terrorism to attack Israel without hitting civilians, we should give them kudos. The truth is that a war between both countries should not be encouraged. It would be very disastrous for global oil trade. We would end up buying fuel for close to 1800-2000 per litre if that war escalates as global oil prices will skyrocket. Before we start gloating about a war between both and supporting each side, let's think of the consequences it would have on our daily lives. |
franchasng:After reading this, I had a good laugh. Just go on Twitter and watch videos of the attack. Iron dome was nowhere to be seen. Just search for #iran on Twitter. Those missiles were hitting targets accurately and only took 15 minutes to get to different parts of Israel from Iran and guess what? The missiles used today were produced 20 years ago. Imagine what kind of destruction would happen with the recent ones. The truth is that a war between Israel and Iran doesn't benefit both parties. We in Nigeria would suffer the consequences as oil prices would shoot up. |
jubrilELsudan:Why are you typing like someone that rat ate his brain? Are you the one that wants to kill him? I hope you know this is a public forum and your comments about him being killed is documented here and you can be traced. |

Abeg, make Oba rest. We are not fools. Oshiomole knows what he is saying. The Oba is just saying it to make it look like he is neutral but his body language before the election says otherwise. |
It's like this one has madness running in his lineage. |
I actually eat 4 times a day. |
The west wants to tell the entire world what is happening in the whole world and they want it to be told in their own way, and through their own channels and how they deem it fit. They don't want the world to have an alternative view point. Anyone who subscribes to this is simply an ignoramus. I should to be very pro America and would swallow anything from the west but ever since I found out their real intentions and started searching for truth myself, my position has changed. I'd rather hear the views about what is happening in Ukraine from both the west and Russia and make up my mind on what the truth is. |
Difrent:That won't be funny at all. |
sunboy:This is what I don't like about a lot of Nairalanders. He knows deep inside him what the truth is but refuses to acknowledge it because of blind support for Israel which should not be the case. We should always be able to call a bad thing exactly what it is irrespective of whether or not we support the person behind it. I read this morning that Lebanon has banned pagers and walkie talkies from flights to and from Lebanon. This is a good step in the right direction to reduce the risk of airplanes being blown up as a result of such devices on them and civilians getting killed for nothing. |
Like I said, there should be red lines during warfare. Technology that has civilian use should never be used as a weapon. This is not rocket science. Drop your bombs on the terrorists you are fighting but don't compromise things that civilians could have access to for their personal use. I see there's also censorship on this forum. I'm trying to upload certain images but the site is censoring them from being uploaded. |

So, I've been following up with the events happening in the middle east and can tell that terrorism is taking a new shape and it might no longer be limited to the Arabs. The idea that smart phones could be laced with explosive and remotely detonated causing explosions, doesn't sit well with me. Reading online and seeing Nigerians celebrate such news, leaves me wondering if we really use our brains in this part of the world. The conflict between hezbolah militia and Isreal has seen Israel compromise communication gadgets like smart phones, walkie talkies, pagers and fingerprint lock devices that were shipped from Hungary to Lebanon. These devices were laced with explosives and were purchased in Lebanon by both hezbolah militia and civilians. They were remotely blown up by Isreal, causing explosions and deaths and injuries to people who had these devices in both Lebanon and Syria. A lot of people are of the opinion that it was targeted at terrorists but the result on ground shows these gadgets had mix use in these countries and wasn't only used by Hezbolah but also civilians. Explosions killed and injured children and women alike. Even a diplomat was a victim. But let's assume it is just hezbolah using it. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Imagine if someone using that device was on board a civilian flight at the time it was remotely blown up? What would have been the result? We would have had a situation where civilians are killed for something that is not their business. Why do I worry? I see online a lot of travel agencies organizing travel tours to Lebanon for Nigerians. Imagine a Nigerian purchasing such a device and bringing it into the country without knowing it has been laced with explosive? Before we support certain things, I am of the opinion we should always look at things holistically from a broader perspective before we put a stamp of approval on it. Israel can fire missiles on hezbolah for as long as they like, I don't care. But a situation where they start introducing explosives into devices that could get anywhere and be in hands of civilians, is a red line crossed. On the other hand, they have also introduced a very bad idea to terrorists all over the world. I hope we do not witness a situation where mobile devices supply chain internationally, are being compromised by terrorists and laced with explosives and when they get into the hands of civilians, are remotely detonated and people are killed. With the introduction of this new concept of warfare, it's obvious future technology that people use everyday is not going to be safe and can be easily compromised and anyone buying a smart phone in future, cannot be exactly sure they won't purchase one that has been laced with explosives. This is very risky for countries who import these devices and do not manufacture them. Countries like Nigeria where our business people just place orders for gadgets from anywhere in the world, would be at great risk. I don't want to be walking around with the fear that the smart phone in my hand could be turned into a weapon. For all it is worth, I think we should all jointly condemn the introduction of explosives into technology that could be in the hands of civilians. Fire your missiles and bombs at whoever you are at war with but don't lace mobile phones, walkie talkie, pagers, finger print locks, etc with explosives. That is pure terrorism and should never be supported. I'd say it again, Israel can bomb hezbolah as they like in defense of their country but technology of mix use, should never be used as a weapon. |
MessiReturns:Your father at home is the one that is a swine. |
ezugegere:I wouldn't know that. I'm only making a submission based on the reports that states civilians were also affected. By the way, I didn't even realize people still use pager for communication. Last time I saw a pager was in the 90s when I was in my finals years of high school. |
LtChisom:When you go home, look your father in the face and tell him that I said you should tell him that he is a pig since you're an uncouth badly raised swine who cannot contribute to any public discussion without showing the world that you were raised in gutter. |
The sad part of this attack is that it not just affected hezbolah, but it affected lots of civilians. This makes it not just a military attack but also a terrorist attack at the same time. One thing is sure and that's the fact that Motorola as a company would lose sales and be affected financially as it would be seen as an accomplice to this event. |
So all the elderly people that work with our traditional rulers and are older than the traditional rulers but have to bow before them everyday, should suddenly stop doing that because they are older than those kings right? You only talk about Israel because he is a public person. Davido is Israel's own king. Leave him to praise his boss the way he deems fit. Yes, not all of us can do it or find it appealing and that's fine. But that doesn't mean we should have a say in his life. We don't pay his bills or feed him. So long as what he is doing does not constitute public nuisance or harm us, we should learn to mind our business. Some of you with all your pride and not being able to do that, are as broke as anything and don't even have hope of where the next meal will come from but have as many opinions as you deem fit, over a man who has traveled around the world to too many countries and even does that in private jets and all it took for him to achieve that is bowing to his boss and he gets paid on top. You guys should learn to stop having unnecessary opinions on what doesn't concern you. |
Yes please. |
Time for the governors to factionalize the party and break away from it. Let Wike have the carcass. |
Flangelo12:Since when did it become the responsibility of a candidate to manage a party? |
helinues:Why do you talk like a child that fell on his head at birth and developed brain damage at infancy? Since when did it become the responsibility of a presidential candidate to resolve leadership crisis in a party? |
