Wow! How did I not see this thread since! And how did you guys know so much!!!!!

It's unfortunate what happened. But I heard, there was a conflict between the Landlord and the caretaker of the place over money and some residents who are owing and refused to leave. Also heard the said caretaker threatened to deal with the landlord. Me I feel, hey, what if this is a planned attempt to discredit the owner of the house based on that threat. I know Naija, we are quick to judge...but when you are a Sherlock Holmes fan , you want to sometime look at things logically. I believe some things don't add up well.

Here's how it goes; inform the school that you want to waive such requirement cuz u deem fit already having studied in an institution where English was the primary language for more than 5 10 years(cuz the applicant should be in her late 20's) as a supportive implementation, she should add a waec or any document that proves she did study and communicate through English.

You could do all these using the English Proficiency Test(Self Report) Form. A letter should be included. If there's an affidavit for such confirmation, she should carry it out.

Please great people. My friend who's applying Chemical Engineering graduate program at U of Alberta just got a mail from her department that she'll need to send her English proficiency test results which we'd thought was an excluded criterion. Please people what do we do now?

I'm sure you guys are winding up for Closing Ceremony. I hope to see some of you on Tuesday especially if you are posted to Oyigbo lg. To answer the quotations. If you are posted to Oyigbo you'll be entitled to 10k monthly by the state government. which is paid cumulatively at the end of your service year. As a personal opinion I think service in government schools is better especially if you are the type that want your spare time and less workload. If a private school pays 20k be sure you'll work yourself to the tune of that money. Also it's always better you are around a good number of corps members than to be isolated which is usually the case with private schools. I'm serving in Oyigbo local govt, Egberu to be precise but I started out with a private school...and the experience probably informed everything I said. there are good privste schools too like phcn staff school, afam. In all you guys should have fun...spend wisely and save. At least we'll be together till February when I wave good bye to Rivers.
