The Student Loan Portal goes live exactly a week from today on Friday, May 24, 2024. I call on prominent Nigerians and even other Presidential candidates in the last election to support this laudable policy. We should not only condemn. When good occurs, we could also commend.

I know if this were a beer drinking portal, a person like Peter Obi, who spent eight years as Governor of Anambra without building a single school, would have commended it, due to his love for beer. He is a HERO to beer drinkers.

I hereby appeal to Peter Obi to also be a HERO to students by commending this policy and asking his Obidients to apply via the portal.

the house where i live in lagos, we have applied for prepaid meter since last year but haven't seen nothing till now,
they used to bring bill of 15k, but this time around the one brought is 50k despite the fact we didn't have light up to 4 days altogether last month.

They don't understand when currency is being defended. If the CBN defends Naira, the rate will be fixed, and subsidy will be paid on it only to benefit the rich (banks, aboki & CBN staff doing roundtripping).

A defended currency will not be appreciating daily like the Naira is doing. It is always fixed. Example of this is when USD was sold by Emefiele at the rate of 400 naira and black market was selling same for 750. They deliberately created that gap to benefit their cronies and the nation was paying subsidy for a select few, not even the eligible customers.
