What have we yorubas ever conceeded to the East since the inception of nigeria. Nothing.

Rather the East conceeded the VP slot and begged Alex Ekueme in PDP to step down for OBJ in 1999 even when yorubas were largely in AD party. The East cannot continue to conceed to yorubas, they are not fools, it is time yorubas also conceeded to the East and allow peace to rain.

It is anomaly that two biggest produces VP candidates from the same region in the south as multicultural as the country. If Osibanjo can step down in APC for an Ngige or Ibokwe, maybe we can talk.

Yorubas will use the avenue to taunt, mock Igbos and beat their chest that they are producing two VPs and have secured themselves heads or tail. They'll claim Igbos don't know to play politics while they are sophisticated than the whole Africa in politics. The taunting will be too much and will create anger, discontent and anguish in the Eastern region, Atiku will be dumped and still yet will not get yoruba block votes.

Atike must not listen to these people who want to spread discontent in the SESS region and make him lose he should choose an Eastern technocrat, consolidate his voters base in the SESS region while yoruba Campaign DG and other sensible yorubas help PDP garner substantial votes in the SW.

PDP have done so much for SW, if the SW are upright and not greedy, they should be the biggest advocate of an Eastern VP in 2019 and an Eastern presidency in future when power rotates south. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

George therefore appealed to the stakeholders in the Southeast to consider the future and on the benefit of doubt that the party would trash the ruling All Progressives Congress in the next general election, Igbo people should allow the Yoruba produce Atiku’s running mate.

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan met with a delegation of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), led by Major-General Adeyinka Adebayo (retd), in the State House, on Thursday, as the leaders complained about being left out in the top six posts in the country.

The delegation also demanded for the dissolution of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which they observed had been unable to fulfill the objectives of its establishment, while also asking for action of the deplorable roads in the South-West.

But responding to their requests, President Jonathan said he was concerned about adherence to the principle of federal character and the zoning formula adopted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and he had tried to ensure that no section of the country was left out in the scheme of things by accommodating them in the subsequent appointments he had made.

According to him, “the issue of federal character and position, especially those political offices, were quite worrisome to me, but we had to achieve political balancing and federal character.

“That is why this thing you describe as zoning was to make sure that every zone should be represented in the one you describe as top six, but for some political reasons, it was not possible. But on my own, in terms of appointments, I tried to see that the way appointment was made, you will agree with me that the appointments we have made so far did not exclude any section.”

He promised that he would not preside over a government that would margninalise any section of the country.

Jonathan lauded the role of Yoruba elders in the 2011 presidential election, which enabled the PDP to win in the South-West saying that the success was made possible because of the leadership.

On the request for the dissolution of the NDDC, Jonathan said though there were many complaints about the commission, it could not be dissolved because it was made up of management and staff.

Jonathan restated his commitment to ensure that things were done differently in the country, adding that corrupt officials would no longer be allowed to go scot free, while outstanding performers would be rewarded[/b]

Adesina will not leave his job for the post of a Vice President in an election which his sure for Atiku. Atiku most weakest region is the northwest and northeast, he will Taraba but I don't see him defeating or sharing any vote with Buhari in these two regions. Atiku is not a grassroot politician that command followers, he believes in the power of money, but take it or leave it, these two regions will collect his money and still vote against him.

A southwest VP will balance the race, but if he decided to go for the east then expect the southwest to vote massively for APC, Igbos should not also cry because Buhari will definitely hand over to a Yoruba person come 2023. The North will not vote for Atiku if he chose an Igbo person, they cannot imagine voting someone who always insult them.
