in addition let him refill ur system with a dye containing 134a refrigerant so as to spot leaks. Dats after vacuuming ur system. Note that vacuum is not the same as flushing though the later is done in order to achieve result of the former. But it can never give u same result. And if ur system is leaking, u will not get enough negative pressure. So it affords u the ability to check leak and extract moisture from your system.

Lonelydora, run from dat ac technician. The same way they condemn radiator fan kicking on and off as a result of thermostat is d same way he wants to remove ur ac thermostat nd wire it direct so that ur compressor continues to spin constantly. Both u an ogtavia have the same issue. Ogtavia can change all the ac items in the benz but still won't work. U just need to vacuum that system. There is moisture in it. Some very good ac/fridge technicians have vacuum pump. This is just the reason why once an HVAC system is opened in Nigeria, it never works like before. Opened system MUST be vacuumed before refilling, else u trap air with moisture inside which will freeze and eventually kill the compressor from overwork.

like I said earlier, Ur compressor most likely has packed. The noise may be from the compressor bearing as the pulley forces it to spin.

bro, u r not telling us everything. ur hvac system has been opened before and worked on. 2007 camry usually comes with automatic compressor. if it has been opened, ur problem is vapour in ur system. when you switch on ur system, it cools initially, then the vapor turns into ice/ block restricting ur system and overworks the compressor. when u switch it off, the ice defrosts and the system become unrestricted again. the cycle continues. if you continue using it like that, u will eventually murder your compressor. solution is discharge the gas in your system, vacuum the system to hold a negative pressure for sometime and eliminate all the vapor. then recharge it. problem gone

I think ur rear uses disc on drum type of brake. Ur brake may be stuck. Check ur brake pads, calipers-piston and sliding pin. They may need changing and lubrication. Also check ur brake shoe in the drum for wear or overadjustment.

All ur parameters seem fine. I think it depends on ur average driving distance. I used to get mpg of 21 when my work place was far from my house. Now I get 8.5mpg. No CEL, no change in performance, not even in fuel consumption. Only difference is my workplace is now a stone throw from my house. If u commute very short distance, u will get dat. Once in a while when I hit highway, I get upto 29mpg
