What are the possibilities for one to make it happen, is it possible for one to swap the electric steering system from a lexus rx400 hybrid to a conventional lexus rx330? |
That particular fuse, is shorting to ground, trace the short first before replacing fuse... |
Is this true... |

After the car might have started in the noon time check and see of the temp guage is working let's start from there, is a cold start issue but the way its being attacked maters.... |
Does the tranny has dip stick... |
MEN!!!!!!! ECU has being change twice no improvement another thing is that when the new ECU has being installed it will run for just 5sec after that it stalls after that everything will be as good as dead....new ideas on how to go about it and again a colleague of mine sad something aboutan ASD relay i don't really know for sure if thats the root cause of all the trouble......

What's your location? |
Rev the engine up and see if the fuel trim readings falls back to - + 5.... |
Are you sure u bought the exact ECU |
I believe for some reason that we should have a constant gnd on one of the terminals and a 5V refrence or 4.5V if it is a three wire coil,we should have battery voltage,5V, feed back i.e IGF some are grounded on the coil pack their self and one more thing the five volts only appear on KOEF i.e key on engine off. |
Not really, drive a few blocks observe for noice hesitation misfire and brakes if none u are good to go then. |
Can one apply as an applicant |
Hi, recently figured out a new test that I haven't seen before. On the new GDI systems they suffer from carbon build up on the back of the inlet valves (in my opinion due to the fuel now not being sprayed on to the back of the valves). Due to this carbon build up the cylinder can not draw all the air required to burn the mixture correctly. You will have no fault codes and as you raise the RPM to about 1200 -1500 the misfire will become most apparent.you should be able to pick this up on the misfire counter easily. At this point on my first experience I start swapping coils and plugs around and the misfire doesn't move, so I move injectors around still it stays on the same cylinder. So I do a relative compression and a cranking compression and still nothing. I then use an oscilloscope on the MAP and AC couple it and bingo I can see an annomilly every 4th time a valve opens.I then realised that every time I started the car for about 2 seconds the annomilly wasn't there. What could be causing that. Then I realised if I manually opened the intake runner flaps the annomilly would disappear and my misfire would go away. We have recently purchased the BG intake system cleaner. We run it through the engine and bingo the misfire was fixed. Then a different car comes in today with a GDI system with identical symptoms. So I whip out the vacuum pump pull the intake runner flaps open and boom misfire disappears. So I know what I will be selling the customer tomorrow. Summary:if you allow the cylinder to pull all the air in using both inlet valves and not just one, due to the intake runner flaps being shut the misfire will instantly disappear. I wouldn't really call it a misfire as such it's more of a slight engine judder just off of idle. Definitely worse when engine is cold. I hope this helps someone and it saves them the pain I went through. You never know Mr scanner danner may even come across it and make a great training video on it. Don't forget to give me a mention if you do |
to also confirm that the alternator is charging or not take a digital voltmeter set your scale to volts start the car place the multimeter led on the battery I.e negative to negative and positive to positive if it is charging u should see a reading above battery voltage it should no be above 14. something 15. is as bad as not charging hope this helps, and also perform a gnd to gnd voltage drop test |
can anyone tell me where I can find one I.e golf 4 if there is no engine am ok with it just a good body and good suspension and tire accident free am good to good........pls I need contract |
that engine swap is a great deal on golf 4, but one thing make sure all the wiring harness are secured that is ECU,ICM,an electrical caberuator also make sure you are installing a manual transmission as well, one order thing something they do have issues with the guages like RPM, temperature, oil light no fuel gauge so put this in mind |
I think u should also perform an Obd ii scan to check for trouble code as well |
hope you didn't tamper with the pressure regulator in any way |
the fault is coming from the bloody mechanic cause you drove the car there right, for the timing aspect since he has been cranking the engine since with the timing in the wrong setting there is a good chance that the valves can be affected also, he should also check critical sensor if they are unplug mean while I dnt know if the valves are rocker arm type or the tarpet type. |
as far it has good service history you are good to go |
also check if the car starts in any gear.... |
a threshold code would have came up, cause after the cat there is an 02 sensor that monitor the efficience of the cat. |
is the immobilizer light on, on the instrument cluster. |
