Mogidi:Why are you being short sighted? If you don't know anything about your presidential candidates do not open your gob |
For social media marketers, knowing how often to post on your Facebook page or your client’s could be very daunting most times. There are lots of calculations to be made as well as understanding your audience in order to know how often you should post. Facebook constantly changes its post organic reach algorithm and in recent times it has been changed such that post reaches could be way to low, as low as 10% of your total fans only get to see your post updates. This could be very depressing knowing that you have worked so hard to garner this fan base by either paying to promote your page or some other kind of offline promotions and also taking so much time to craft a post. Really it’s not easy. These days the competition in advertising on Facebook or having a Facebook page is so much that even the small scale industries also do the same on Facebook, thereby sharing the same fans as your page that has been in existence since the beginning of Facebook for business. This is another factor that determines how often your posts will be shown to your fans, as such will determines how frequently you should post on Facebook. Now if you are this small scale business, and you want your posts to reach above 50% of your fans, it is advisable to post just a few times in a week. Or maybe even twice a week would be a great idea. Posting daily only irritates your audience, so they will end up not engaging with your posts that they don’t like, and thereby reducing your post engagement. These customers may not unfollow your page, but for the fact that they won’t engage with your posts only reduces the possibilities of your post reaching them the next time you make an update. Another factor to consider in knowing how often to create posts is by understanding the niche of your own business. For blogs or news sites, it’s okay to share content as frequently as possible. People love to engage in general news and updates and that is why sharing of posts may not bring much harm to their post reaches. If you are a big corporation that has gathered too many fans, then in order to remain relevant to your fans, post only as frequent as a few days in a week to get the best value of the fans you have spent so much in acquiring. Another major factor that determines how often you should post is the type of content you share. Facebook tends to send videos and photos to a wider range of fans because people engage more with visuals than texts. Posting links from websites won’t help at all. It would rather reduce your post engagement. Reason is because it is believed that you aim at using Facebook as a medium to drive traffic to your site, as such the engagement would be on your site comment box and not Facebook’s. So you see, Facebook know what they are doing. And if you fall in this category of businesses that intend sharing their website links on their Facebook page, then it is advised that you’d rather pay for a promoted posts that would boost your post reaches. So in summary my advice is that, Facebook marketers should not waste so much time and energy in creating posts on daily basis, it rather hurts than helps. Ensure that when making an update, it should be worth it, and must be a post that would matter a lot to your business. I hope this helps, and if you have your contributions please share yours as well. Culled from http://brelix.com/how-often-should-post-facebook-page/ |
By now many of us must have agreed that in every generation there's a new normal. What do you think is a normal thing in this age that actually shouldn't be morally? Share your thoughts. |
Hello everybody, and a wonderful evening to you all, or in the case you might be reading this in the morning of afternoon, a wonderful morning and afternoon to you all. About the above mentioned topic, I thought I should first consult we Nairalanders about this before I get misled and many other people could as well be misled in this act. Lately I have been seeing ads online relating to pre registering on this website "NIMC Pre-Enrolment Portal" for an online card kiniko for faster processing blah blah blah. Okay so I clicked on the ad, and I know I am not the only one who must have done this, but I landed on a page where I was to register. There was even no explanation whatsoever about why I am to register, or if it is a government website, or even if there is a deadline date, the thing just seemed like the site was built to collect information from visitors. Even sef the site does not have SSL security, most of us who frequently use the internet should understand what I mean by site security. So I'm calling out to you guys..pleeeease I want to know if this is the height of planning a scam heist, or could I be wrong? If I am wrong please someone should explain better to me what this enrollment is all about. Thanks The picture below is the picture of what the ad is like

First off, many of us must have seen it normal for guys to cheat, but not everyone sees it normal to cheat on your girlfriend with her own friend. And in most cases it goes as far as cheating with her own best friend. I have tried to understand this and the reasons why this happens, so I came out with my own hypothesis, it’s just a hypothesis so feel free to drop your opinions if I’m wrong in anyway. In my opinion I think that 90% of the reasons why guys cheat on their girlfriends with their friends is basically caused by the girl. Reasons are: You talk a lot about the activities of your man: Girls never understand that some things are meant to remain private no matter how close you may be to your bff. Most girls don’t know how to keep their mouth shut and know when they are giving too much information. This is something I have experienced countless times and I think I’m pretty much sure of what I am saying. Why should a girl be gisting with her friends and even go as far as telling her friends how good her man is on bed, telling her friends nice things about her man and how cute he looks when he just wakes from sleep and boasts of nice places her man takes her to? Don’t they know girls can be jealous? These your friends may not work towards breaking your relationship with your man but I bet they would love to have a taste of this sweetness you’re talking about. And in their minds they’ll be like “after all you guys are not married”, then that’s when stuff starts to go wrong. Talking too much about your man is just have having a stone in your hand and telling your friends that you have a diamond in your hand. Of course everyone would really want to know the value of what you have. So why not hold a diamond and call it a stone instead You are the over protective girlfriend You monitor every activity of your man and keeping him away from your friends, my dear you are doing yourself no good. Those your thirsty friends will still find a way to sneak through and this time around they will have known how far you would go to know your boyfriend’s activities, covering their tracks will be way too easy. You place so much trust on your friends Girls are so fund of this. They trust their friends a lot! We all know that girl’s friendship does not last and they know themselves, so why place so much trust? Why give your boyfriend your friend’s phone number to reach you if your line is unavailable? If your line is not always available then buy another sim card, after all there are now many phones with dual sims flooding the market. There are many more reasons I know of why men cheat on you with your friends but I will be updating as they come to my head. Thanks for reading. |
Please does anyone have any idea how one can unsubscribe from log in emails on NL? Cos anytime I log in I receive a new emails that I just logged in, and it can be annoying especially when I'm expecting a very important email. So am I the only one experiencing this or is there a setting somewhere that this can be changed? Thanks for you guys replies. |
You are very correct. What needs to be understood is that Africa is the continent with the most number of divided ethical groups, languages and belief.... This makes it really difficult to come together. Just how small the landmass of Nigeria is, we have over 100 tribes, and you think it will be easy to unite Nigeria? Not to talk of the black race as a whole. Omo that one will happen in the year 10,862,569. But anyhow sha we gats to hope. Adesam09: |
I just wanted to state here that I actually paid for her transport to go back oh...What I didnt pay for was her transport in coming. So when you guys are replying please ensure you read thoroughly. Thanks. |

I remember some time ago in PH city I bought a perfume from one small boy like that, say 12 years old tops. The way the guy was thanking me eh, I think it's cos I didnt price the perfume. I felt so fulfilled that day. I guess my point is, why shouldn't I patronize what they sell? So many millionaires started at young ages like them. At least it's better than watching them beg on the streets. |
Let me give you my story..... Amara is one very close friend of mine who I hadn't seen in over 3 years now, lives and schools in the same town I do, though I have her contact and I'm connected with her on social media we just haven't been relating like that for some reasons known to her. So yesterday she just brought up the idea of meeting again due to the fact that it has been really long. Maybe she just wanted to see my face I had no idea. Ok na so what happens was...... I asked which will suite her better, that I come over to her place or she comes to mine, she said coming to my place was a better idea. It costs a trip of 400 bucks. So this morning by 7am I canceled the meeting cos I had my guys come over to my place and I felt her coming over might be awkward as well...... So I changed my mind. My guys and I went out to a bar (which is actually a very cool and serene place with no too much noise) close to my house. Then I called her phone and asked the chick if she could still come this afternoon and to my surprise she said yes. Ok oh, in a few hours she landed. Upon coming to the bar and meeting me and my friends I did the usual protocols na.... Offered her a pack of Chivita juice and we gisted well about our past. So as it was getting late we thought it's time to go home. So I put her in a keke that will take her straight to her doorstep and even paid her transport back. To my surprise she asked for a refund of the money she used in coming oh... shooo! And I was like "what do you mean?" (in a soft manner) then she said "don't worry". Do you know that I got home and this girl now called me and telling me that I should have used my sense to know that I'm supposed to pay for her? Telling me that the money she used in coming was her sister's money. So abeg I'm confused with all these that happened here, I just felt I should post this my experience, lemme know if it's just me or is it the girl that is crazy? Cos I honestly did not even know what to reply her over the phone. |
You totally get this wrong. I think the idea is for people to easily have access to little credit to at least send text messages, not just voice calls. Most times one can just be stranded with only ten bucks on him that could at least help him get credit for a text that could take him out of a messy situation. I hate MTN as much as you do but not every innovation or idea should be condemned just because they are crooked. faithugo64: |
Abbey2sam:If you don't have an answer is it difficult to keep shut? |
I'm asking this question because on so many occasions I've had to deposit cash to the bank account of a company, especially in some cases where I request hosting services from some Nigerian Web hosting companies. They then direct me to send my name and teller number as text message to them. I normally do as requested but my question is.... Why exactly is the teller number requested? I have a corporate account as well and I've never seen where the bank sends me details of the teller number of the person who pays to my account. Isn't just the depositors name and credit alert enough to serve as proof that the payment has been made? I don't know if I made this statement well but whoever understands clearly u will appreciate your comment, answers or your take on this. |
Ok, this might be an awkward thing to post. Well, to me it's not all that too awkward. I recently hacked someone’s Facebook login information, and I really don't know why I did it because I don't even know what hackers do with people's log in details that could be converted into cash. I think the owner must have even changed his password by now sef. It’s one guy from Scotland like that. Anyway sha I want to ask just for better understanding of the risks involved and all that. What are the list of things a hacker can do with your Facebook login information that is actually profitable and can be converted into cash, other than sending spam messages and all these “I am stranded in a foreign land” messages? I need answers oooh...not bad mouthed people abeg! |

Hi guys, I know this my be an awkward question but I will actually really appreciate an answer. I plan on advertising my brand online (shoe store) just the way it's done by Jumia and Konga. These guys are practically on every site. And owing to the fact that Adwords, Facebook, Twitter and other marketing platforms only charge per click or impressions, I still would like to know at least what to budget for like a whole month to be shown on nearly every website and blog on the web just like Jumia, Konga, Kaymu, DealDey and so on. I will be glad if someone can give me even if it's a fair accurate answer. Thanks. |
cheavroi: http://vtnssolutions.com/blog/how-much-does-seo-cost/I just finished reading that post. Oh, I mean I just finished reading every bit of it, and I mean it when I tell you that it was just way too good, too good that marketers should pay to lay hands on such information. The truth is that when I first saw how organised it was, I almost swore that it was scraped from the internet, and sorry for the doubts bro but I had to google a whole paragraph of it only to find out it's actually your own intellectual property. That was just awesome. Any sane businessman who reads this should consider engaging with you on his SEO marketing, and thumbs up for that, indirectly I have absorbed more info I would use in charging clients for SEO marketing. Thanks for the info ;-) |
The first thing that gets in the head of most new companies that just launched their site is ‘Let us find the best SEO agent that can take our site to the front page’. I trust we Nigerians, we always want the best but pay for way less. Well I tell you, the good news is that it is possible, the not so bad news is “How much are you willing to pay?” You can Google all you want on the range of pricing SEO companies offer but the truth will always turn out to be that the price ranges are always too wide to be definite. For example you’d see result like “SEO agents could charge on a per hour basis” or “pricing could range from N40,000 – N50,000 monthly”. SEO is basically linking building, optimising content, keywords planning and geotagging. So the question is, what exactly do they do within the hours? Do you watch them while they are working? “I mean they’re not mechanics or house cleaners that work by the hour”, what changes do they make on your website that should take days? ‘well, except they’re to create content for your pages”. Building links only takes a few minutes to email a couple of bloggers or exchange quality links, while optimising content should be done as you make blog posts, in this case which should be probably twice a week or weekly for a regular business. And for those that charge on monthly basis on a scale of N50,000 the question is, if you take N50,000 from a site owner who only has 10 pages in it, will you take the same from a site with over 200 pages? Because the last time I checked I thought the aim was to get all your pages indexed in Google as quickly as possible. So how do you optimise a website without having to tweak the pages individually? Another thing that is to put into consideration in SEO are the use of keywords. Do you charge a site owner that wants his site optimised for over 50 keywords the same thing as a site owner who wants his site optimised for just 10 keywords? Let’s take for example, you get a customer who runs a beauty and spa business and I think customers looking for that business will type in words like, beauty and spa, spa treatment, body waxing, body cleansing, facial polish. Anything more than this will just be for no reason. Then you get another customer who has a financial institution and wants his site optimised for over 100 keywords with various related links such as finance, account, bank, loan, credit, funds, mortgage and the list goes on and on. Now the question is how do you charge? Let me stop with the instances and examples and delve into how much SEO services should cost exactly. The truth is that there’s no definite pricing, and there isn’t supposed to be a definite pricing. In order to accurately charge a customer, the SEO agent should have had a look at the website, ran out an analysis on it, evaluate it and decide how much he is willing to take and also consider the time frame it should take to get the site ranking, because the truth of SEO is that, the more keywords competition the harder it is to get ranked. My advice is that customers should run away from SEO agents that have fixed prices, these people don’t know what they are doing. Scraped from http://brelix.com/actual-cost-seo-services-nigeria/ |

I can go on and on with how frustrating it is to wake up every morning seeing irrelevant unread messages on my phone..... All either from MTNN, 52061, 31005, and newer numbers I can't e en keep up with. What was once trending on MTN was to force customers to callertunes we never subscribed for, now they automatically subscribed me to receiving news from Vanguard, Vanguard news that I can always read from their website oh. Ok, so I went ahead to send "stop all" to 4600 to unsubscribe from everything they forcefully subscribed me to. Guess what, it worked , then guess what, it started again after about a week. ![]() There are just many reasons why MTN frustrates me and I can't go on and on with them. The major one that gets me angry is that anytime I think of porting to another network I just find another reason to continue using this god forsaken line ![]() Anyways this thread is not about me, it's about you guys, share your experiences with your network. |
I'm asking this question cause I noticed that lately no trader in Nigeria ever has change. Whether you're paying for transport or you're buying a car in cash just forget your change. Then secondly it has been ages I came across the clean version of these notes. The ones I usually see are always scraggy and old. If they've stop printing these notes can someone tell us why? |
