Her new appointment would entail her coordinating the Governor's daily itinerary, ensuring his comfort and that of his visitors every day.

CareerI Wanted To Be A Nun - Beverly Osu by chunny01(op): 8:10am On Oct 13, 2013
Background

I grew up in Surulere, Lagos.  But I grew up like a boy! I am the last child and only girl in the family.   I did not have toys and I did not know any Barbie story, all I knew was Voltron, a cartoon. I did not grow up with both parents.  My father is a very simple man and he is somebody who can accept your mistakes.  He does not spank his kids.  Meanwhile, my mother is very strict. I could not even play outside as a young child. I had to ride my bicycle inside the sitting room.  I attended Daughters of Divine Love Convent, Enugu State.  I thought I would be a reverend sister but I abandoned the vision when I dropped out in my fifth year. I finished my secondary education in a secular institution before moving to Babcock University.  I could not finish from Babcock because I had some personal issues. Again, I dropped and enrolled at the National Open University.

My convent experience

It affected me in a very spiritual way. In as much as I know worldly things, I still fear God and have faith in Him.  The reason why I wanted to become a nun was because I was raised in a Catholic home.  I just felt it was the best thing for me to do at that time. I used to see myself as a messenger of God.  Even though I did not become a nun, I still remain faithful to God. Part of my dreams is to establish a church and do a lot of charity work.

Me and Big Brother

I went there of my own freewill and spending time in the house has greatly influenced my lifestyle. I have changed in a lot of ways. I am cutting down on friends because I have too many of them— home and abroad.  Also, I have always been a very impatient person but staying in the Big Brother house has changed all that for me.  The experience taught me to tolerate people because a lot of them annoyed me in that house.  While I was there, I learnt that good things come to those who wait. It was difficult initially because I was always conscious of the cameras but I had to live with it.

My affair with Angelo

I fell in love with Angelo. I am a very open person and I do not like to hide my feelings.  The concept of the show was reality.  Since it did not require pretence or play acting, I just became true to myself. Concerning the issue of sex in the house, I have said it many times that there was no sex involved. The bathtub incident was just blown out of proportion by the media. If there was a camera inside the bath water, everyone would have clearly seen that Angelo had his boxers on.  But I guess since I was the naked one, it was easy to rush to conclusion. Time will tell if there is a future for the relationship.  Also, I believe relationships should be left in the hands of God.  He decides when and who you can move with from one stage to another. For now, I can only say I had fun while the stay in the house lasted and right now, I am still having fun. I am a young lady.  I have a lot going for me and so many things to be done.

Plans

Apart from continuing with my charity work, I will resume my video vixen role and feature in as many musical videos as possible. Also, I have plans to host talk shows and do some movies. But above all, I will continue to pursue my passion of dancing and modelling.

Style

I like simplicity in style. I am not a flirty dresser and the items that can never be missing in my wardrobe are bum shorts and tank tops. These are what I wear on a daily basis

RomanceTips For A Perfect Relationship (for Ladies) by chunny01(op): 6:15pm On Oct 04, 2013
Dear ladies, do you desire a great relationship? Then, you should follow these tips.

1. Be a goal-getter! Get something to do! Be responsible! There is nothing sexier than a smart and confident woman!
2. There is no prince charming – but you can make one out of your man.
3. You can lure a guy into a relationship with s*x; you can turn 360 degrees in bed and do different types of ‘gymnastics’ to please him, but you can’t keep him forever with s*x! Once he is tired of you, he would move on.
4. Don’t go fantasying about the kind of love you watch in movies; they are make-believe. A high percentage does not happen in reality.
5. A man sees you the way you see yourself, therefore do not look down on yourself. Never think low of yourself, but then be humble.
6. Stop jumping from one club to the other, stop portraying yourself as a club – addict! Even a bad guy wants to marry a good girl.
RomanceHow To Tell When A Girl Just Had Sex by chunny01(op): 10:24pm On Oct 03, 2013
Did you know that just by walking down the street, or across the office, people may be able to figure out that you've gotten laid?
Because having a vaginal orgasm does more than just put a little pep in your step. It actually causes you to walk differently, with a longer stride and a greater pelvic rotation.
In a European study, trained sexologists (nice job title) were able to pick out, with an 81 percent accuracy, which women had an orgasm just by watching them walk.

But that's not the only way someone can tell if a woman has had sex. Here are a few others:

The Glow: There's a scientific reason for us getting the flushed in the cheeks look after sex -- more blood flow -- but what about that aura of calm that seems to float around us after the fact? It happens. Recently, my husband and I went on a post-coital grocery store trip and ran in to some friends. The wife remarked to me, "You're glowing," with a little wink and a nod.

The Cat Who Ate The Canary Grin: This is also known as the Smirking Smile and if you see a woman looking sideways with this look on her face, you'll know, yep, she just got laid. She has a secret that's making her go through her day with a sense of fulfillment. Because, seriously, nobody is that happy unless they just had sex with a happy ending.

The Wet Spot: I know this is gross but getting seminal moisture leaking through to your pants can be an unfortunate byproduct of having sex, at least if you don't use a condom or your partner doesn't pull out. And it's not one of the good ways you would want someone to be able to tell that you recently had sex. Wearing a pad post-intercourse can help prevent this -- just sayin'.

The Unflappably Buoyant Mood: A post-intercourse rise in endorphins can give you a fresh perspective on the annoyances of every day life: Go ahead, honk at me because I'm going too slow. Cut in front of me in the check-out line at the store. And let my kids scream at each other while they argue over who gets to sit in the front seat on the way to school. I. Don't. Care. Thanks to a little early morning sunrise surprise, nothing is going to put me in a bad mood.

EducationASUU: FG May Involve Shagari, Obasanjo In Negotiation by chunny01(op): 7:41am On Oct 03, 2013
There are indications that the Federal Government may seek the intervention of past Presidents/Heads of States, Governors, traditional rulers and serving Senators to mediate in its current face-off with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The supervisory Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, said this on Wednesday in Abuja during a palliative meeting with the President of Nigeria Union of Teachers, Michael Olukoya; and Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu.

Olukoya had suggested that following the inability of the committees earlier set up to settle the crisis, the Federal Government should seek the intervention of past presidents, governors, traditional rulers and serving senators.

He also said that the  NUT still stood by its threat to solidarise with ASUU over the university teachers’ demands  unless directed otherwise by the union’s National Executive Council.

Olukoya said, “With the way this strike has lingered on for three months, we believe government should explore all modalities to end it. Government should invite past heads of states, speakers, senators, Ministers of Labour and Education and every other stakeholder in the sector to resolve this ugly situation.

“Call powerful voices like traditional leaders to intervene in this strike because our concern as teachers is that as these undergraduates stay at home, they are prone to negative vices and in turn these are the same people that would lead the society in future.”

Wike said government was looking at the suggestion by NUT.

He said, “We have met to dialogue on the way forward to the crisis in the education sector. The meeting went very well and it was very cordial with respect to the crisis between ASUU and Federal Government.

“We have put our heads together and we have taken all the ideas, both the one we suggested and the one NUT suggested and we are going to move it forward.  The suggestions  by NUT were quite good and the ones we suggested were also quite good and we have put them together. Just watch out what is going to happen very soon.”

The Minister was however evasive on when the strike would be called off.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities will meet in Akure, Ondo State on Monday, October 6, to deliberate on the ASUU strike.

This came as students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on Wednesday, urged the Federal Government to implement immediately the various agreements it reached with labour unions in the nation’s tertiary institutions
FoodThe Benefit Of Red Wine by chunny01(op): 4:12pm On Oct 02, 2013
•Aids digestion. Polyphenols in wine help your gut lessen the harmful effects of certain chemicals before they are distributed throughout the rest of your system. They also tell the body to release nitric oxide, which relaxes the walls of your stomach as it fills with food, helps counteract effects of irritable bowel syndrome and improves digestion.

•Whittles your waistline. Red wine not only helps make you feel more satisfied and suppress your appetite (so you eat less), but studies say it also can halt the growth of fat cells through a substance called piceatannol, which stops the fat cells from fully forming or maturing into full-blown fat.

•Strengthens your bones. Recent studies show that moderately consuming red wine helps maintain strong, healthy bones. This connection is especially evident in the case of postmenopausal women. Stronger bones mean a lesser chance of developing osteoporosis. However, it’s a balance; over-consumption has the reverse effect and can make bones weaker and more brittle. Remember: moderation is key!

•Prevents cancer. Perhaps some of the most exciting research reveals red wine’s cancer-fighting powers, thanks to the presence of polyphenols (especially resveratrol). Polyphenols, found in grapes, have some incredible antioxidant attributes that include protection from the free radicals that damage cells and DNA and lead to cancer.

•Live longer. Not only does resveratrol potentially prevent cancer, it might also fight ageing. In a fascinating new study on worms, resveratrol was shown to extend lifespan by 60 per cent! It accomplishes this by both preventing disease (such as cancer, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes) and by triggering the so-called “longevity gene” (SIRT1), which further boosts overall health and wellness. Scientists have high hopes for the future of resveratrol in extending human lifespan and vitality.
