PhonesRe: Blackberry/andriod Which Is Good For A Nigerian University Student by ciphoenix: 12:46am On Feb 27, 2013
Promxy94: Hello My fellow Nairalanders,,,,pls lets help ourselves out here, and sum undergraduates out there, who will be needin these same advice,,
Blackberry/andriod which is better for a Nigeria student
lets discuss these in terms of
internet acess(esp assignments)
the web browsers on droids make the whole process easier. you can even save pages as pdf for offline reading wink wink

,applications(Medical/law/any discipline/productivity apps/entertainment apps)
again, blackberry phones are lacking in this regard. there're great apps in the playstore e.g epocrates(must have for any medical student), WebMD e.t.c. don't know about other disciplines

,durability,
again you have droids winning this one

flexible data plan
not sure what you mean by this

and multi taskin,,,,,
droids

cheers smiley

PhonesRe: Airtel Is Taking Their Adverts Too Far.....its Frustrating Nigerians by ciphoenix: 6:10pm On Feb 26, 2013
4llerbuntu: anyway, I have solved the issue by blacklisting the numbers. as long as they change it, I'm also ready to block it.

thank God for smartphones
I've succeeded in blacklisting the various numbers used EXCEPT ONE. it's not a number, just "AIRTEL". any way i can blacklist that too? sad

luluosas: You think so? Then, you are in a dream land.
Please, analyze the attached speed test results here (Mobile & PC) between Airtel's 3.75G (H) network, against Glo 2.5G (E) network in Yola, Adamawa State and tell me, which network YOU THINK I SHOULD STICK WITH by reason of their performance. Please, be God fearing and be very factual when giving your result. Thank you.

Picture 2 is Glo Test (Mobile)
Picture 3 is Airtel Test (PC)
Picture 4 is Glo Test (PC)[/size]
the airtel was EDGE what speed were you ecpecting? And the glo, well it doesn't show what network is available. smiley

please i need a good place to learn programming since i studied computer science in school. please could you refer me to a better place where i could start. thnx
Read the thread from the beginning.
Decide on a language.
Get books and read up.
Start coding.

honestly i don't think you need another formal institution to learn programming considering you're already a CSC graduate smiley
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 11:05am On Feb 24, 2013

PhonesRe: How To Recover Lost Files On Your Symbian Fone by ciphoenix: 11:02am On Feb 24, 2013
please enlighten me. tell me how apps that occupied 9GB in my memory card before formatting are shrunk into ".jad" files that can fit comfortably into the phone memory which is probably less in size smiley
PhonesRe: How To Recover Lost Files On Your Symbian Fone by ciphoenix: 9:50pm On Feb 23, 2013
The topic is misleading. You should have specified apps not just files. Anyway the jad files are just download links for the lost apps I presume
