You need to use up your credit and leave at least N50 to send the porting text messages. You need to do a backup of your contacts, call logs and sms because you will loose all.

Thanks for the info but I've been using a ported line since last year... just had this sudden problem of not able to port to other network even after the 90days... that was why I asked u about their requirements, maybe it's different from the one I had. Been trying to port to airtel but to no avail.

I think you may need to visit another customer care centre. They should be able to help you out.

It's really simple . Just walk into any customer care center of your choice. You will be required to send a text message to the porting number. Then you will be given a new sim. You wait until you receive a text message to put the new sim and the old network goes off too. That's it. The beauty is that you will retain your number. So many people don't know it is as easy as that.

In November 2015, I received a text message from MTN to go and re-register (because ive done that earlier). I couldn’t go during the week due to exigencies of work so I chose a Saturday to do that. MTN network acted up so much that day that I could not be registered after spending several hours at their registration centre. I had to create time out of my busy schedule to visit their office back on Monday to do the registration. I was really relived. I received a message thanking me for registering my line.

In December 2015. I received the same text message that I should go and re-register. I vowed never to go back and waste my time thinking maybe it was in error. Surprisingly my line was blocked from making or receiving calls but I could receive text messages. I was angry. As that is my main line, I had to go through the painful process of re registering the line again including facing some MTN staffs who are so rude and very partial as they give preferential treatment to people they know. I told the lady after collecting the receipt for the registration that am tired and wouldn’t want to come back for this process again. She assured me that that will be the last. I received a message thanking me again for registering and free credit.

I was dumbfounded when I received another alert in January 2016 to go and re-register my line again. Whaaaaaaaaaaat!!! I thought it was a mistake. I called their customer care who implore me to go and re-register again. Well, I thought to myself, If MTN is crazy, I am not. And if they want to use me to learn how to re-register line, then am not available. So I just walked into Airtel office, ported my line and within 48 hrs I was online again. I think I have peace now. All thanks to NCC.

In my opinion,Aero is struggling to be in business.I read somewhere that their fleet of aircraft has reduced drastically hence,these frequent delays and cancellations.Used them from Abuja to Lagos and they kept delaying the flight.

If an airline is struggling to be in business, then it is not good for the industry and for their customers. When they try to stay afloat, they take so many chances and cause more havoc like flying bad planes, etc etc. I will not fly with them again. I dont want to risk my life.

I booked an Abuja - Lagos flight on Aero Airline last week. Barely 24 hrs to departure, I received this text message "Dear Customer, Flight X from ABV to LOS for x.01.2016 is cancelled due to operational reasons. We apologize." blah blah blah. Well, I was happy. At least, I wouldn't have to go and wait for the flight at the Airport only to be disappointed. So I said to myself, at least Aero is gradually being sensible by informing us early.

So I quickly booked another flight. But on getting to the Airport for the refund, I was told by the lady at the Abuja counter that I can only receive N16,000.00 instead of the N16,350.00 that I paid initially for the online transaction. That the extra N350.00 was the bank charges which they cannot refund. I am aware that the Bank charges is always shared by the Bank & Aero according to agreed percentages. This is the standard. So I asked the lady why I should be debited for a flight Aero cancelled which was never due to my fault. The lady just laughed and said that is not their business, that, it is a normal thing. She was just too rude. I suspected she was even abusing me because she was even muttering something which I couldn’t fathom.

On my return journey, some of my friends booked Aero while I "jejely" booked another airline. I told them that I don’t think I want to gamble with Aero again. To cut a long story short, Aero cancelled their flight too. lol. Not a single flight but 3 flights with different departure times. It appears its a normal thing and they had to also part with the N350 extra charge due to a fault which is not theirs.

This is my finding.
1. Aero will not refund your N350.00 Bank charges when they cancel your flight due to their own fault. So the passenger is short-changed.
2. It is strange that those flights are not really cancelled but are sold at the counter. I was told that they could move me to another flight, billed to take off at the same time. I told them capital 'NO' because I have already booked another flight. I told them that they could have done that early instead of asking me.
3. Do a rough calculation of how much they make from those bank charges. N350 x 100 passengers x 6 flights per day x 30 days a month huh

? That is why the regulators needs to come in and correct this anomaly. This is daylight robbery.

George_D: if your power needs are within the 2.5 to 3.5kva range, then i'll advise you to go for sukam inverters.
from my experience, they are more economical with battery power and seem to charge more efficiently. but if
your power needs exceed 3kva, then go for cyberpower.
