After finishing the interview he toht everything ws over,bt they texted him to come back and do the pft..... thats when they told him how important it ws..... he said there were also ppl that had problems the previous day and couldnt do the pft and were invited for interview.... they were asked to do it after

I just want to see the aftermath of the distribution of APL. Faan recruitment exercise would be a good standard in Nigeria.

I notice you always like commenting like a defeatist. Bro, the only reason faan recruitment exercise won't be completed is if there was no Vacancy in the advertised positions. Why does all ministries have permanent secretaries? It's to ensure continuity of programs and goals. However, when you are submitting a handover note to an incoming administration, common sense suggest that you transfer both finished and unfinished project to your successor. Whether faan recruitment exercise is completed or not, it will be forwarded. It's now left for saleh dunoma to brief the incoming administration on the progress made so far.

Guys you should not be worried now...... The time to start getting worried is from May 29th.
For now, just take your mind off it. Do something else, that will occupy your mind till 29th of may (33days time). That's how best to stop all this needless worry.......

The just conducted FAAN recruitment has been CANCELLED! Take it or leave it! A fresh recruitment will be organized come any time post May 29th. I'm sure the question that will boiling in everybody's mind now is, My source! Well, seat back and relax, it was confirmed by an august FAAN personnel. It was said that the objectives of the exercise have jeopardized by the majority of the public office-elects via empowering individuals that stood by them from electioneering till the end (including their names in the FAAN list). Thus, it was as a result of this act that the president-elect cancelled the exercise so that everybody stands equal play-ground in a fresh exercise without obvious nepotism. In a nutshell, if you still have a job at hand, please hold it TIGHT!

just my opinion....... I think faan needs more than 750. I work with ncaa so I know how all aviation agencies do their employement. In these places NCAA,FAAN,NAMA,NIMET,NCAT if u get to the interview uhv gotten the job. During our recruitment 300 were called for interview 248 were selected. just my opinion nothing. Also heard my avsec frnds talking abt a woman sitting on the final list and not allowing anyone to go close like sey na her life. and also that she is to send it to the MD. from there the MD will check(add his candidates) and sign....from there it will be taking to the ministry for final approval..... the minister will check(add his candidates) sign....then they will be taking back to faan whr they will put it online.

I am trying to fathom why they will require 750 and still go ahead to interview 4000+......... It does not make sense. Those saying 750 candidates is what they need are still the ones telling us its only a powerful few that has access to the list and is content. Does these powerful few include their source?

I will definitely dig up and quote you guys when the list comes out..... . 750 candidates abi? And you said it cuts across the 9 advertised dept abi? 27 candidates will be recruited for AFO out of 289 abi? 1 AFO per state + Abuja abi? That's 3 AFO per airport(in the 9 operational airport)?

Tell that your faan staff to go and check the faan recruitment portal now, it is functioning again. Ask him/her if they are playing with your intelligence

We did it! See screen shot below! We bombarded faan with questions regarding cancellation of the process and the collapse of their site.

@citizen juwon and co what you are failing to understand is that all government institutions being a creation of law must comply with the law when it comes to national recruitment the Rules must apply. The agency must advertise in more than one national daily(newspaper) recourse must be giving to the principle of federal character ,the fact that over 720 thousand people applied does not affect the number of people they intend to take. Secondly people keep making reference to the DG statement that Faan is short of 1500 staff..look every agency wants more staff the police will tell u they need one million policemen, even the army with the highest allocation being the government priority did not recruit more than 5000people in a single financial year, ministry of health keeps crying that they want 1doc for every 50people unfortunately there are budget constraints u must put in consideration. It is not today Nigeria has failed to meet international requirement on aviation. After all this is not last recruitment Faan will ever conduct, so they may not meet all the international requirement u have been talking about. In the end humans by their very nature see unfavorable news as very unpalatable let's keep praying and keep ourself informed as there is strength in unity, the minister might be monitoring this thread.

okay ooooo, you guys need to calm down. All this optimistic permutations can only increase your blood pressure level. It suffices to hope for the best if your conscience tells you, you did well in the interview.

If faan recruitment exercise aims at employing just 750 candidates, then it negates everything common sense stands for.

By the way, if anyone gives you an update on the recruitment, try to juxtapose it with the unfolding sequence of events from the application till date.

720,000 application was screened (ab initio), Over 36,000 was invited to take the CBT, and around 4000+ was targeted for interview. So you were told by a "staff" they needed just 750? Lol!

Truth be told, It doesn't just add up..... It negates commonsense......... Even chevron won't do that. If that's the case in faan, then it's weird.
