Good morning. Before Gowon, Nigeria was divided into 4 regions (north, west, east and mid-west) then it was divided into 12 states i.e. west (Lagos and western states), east (south eastern, east central and rivers state), mid west (it wasn't divided), north (north western, Kwara, Kano, north central, north eastern and Benue-plateau state). And the division was done in May 1967 before Ojukwu declared former eastern Nigeria independent and the civil war began.

For the umpteenth time, Yakubu Gowon a.k.a. Jack never created states during the war, neither was Eastern state In the majority of the 12 states created.

However, Gowon created 12 states on May 30th 1967. And the civil war was between July 6th 1967 and 15th January 1970.


Gowon created the following 12 states in Nigeria:

1. North-Western State

2. North-Eastern state

3. Kano State

4. North-Central State

5. Benue-Plateau State

6. Kwara State

7. Western State

8. Lagos State

9. Mid-Western State

10. Rivers State a South-Eastern State,

11. Cross River State

12. East-Central state.

I used Biafra in the context, as per Eastern Nigeria(including, parts of Edo or so-called Niger Delta) before 1967. Was it not during the war, Gowon divided Eastern Nigeria into 12 States just to create "chaos" among us , which we are having today? Nigeria was almagamated(that is to say two seperate entities /Northern ~ Biafra/ were joined together) in 1914, just for the purpose of feeding the North(Nigeria) from the South(Biafra).

I don't know if you are trying to rewrite history.

Mention any state created during the 30 months war and its military gov. Olodo rabata!

From my test experience today, the questions shared on the platform so far were not repeated. Just that it followed the same pattern like was postulated. Series, fill in the blanks. And to those believing they at a disadvantage by sharing questions, in my there is no such thing as advantage or disadvantage. You are competing against Yourself and not any other person. You will be selected for what you have done and not for what the other person has done. Just do your best and if it is good enough you will get there and if it is not On To The Next One. useless server.... i was about to round off my test when the useless netwrork started misbehaving. imagine i v answered 37 questions out of 45. they had to log me out with another set of random ques which was not as easy as the first one. i almost cried that i had to do tumbo tumbo from 1 to 45 and i was eventually disstabilized. only God can do it for me

pending successful is my case for now and the reason for this mishap is not farfetched. How can aboki like me from the north with Hausa and Islamic names be from abia ? I saw my state of origin as abia and , this was not so when I did my registration. How it changed overnight is still a mystery to me.

Amen! Infact, my case is still and will always be different. God's favour will shine on you guys especially my padi omolizzy. If by 2moro, nothing changes, please dont relax, try to call dpr helpline. I've called them on 2 occassions and the reception was warm enough.

I just spoke with them a while ago and complained of the "no institution found" and "pending successful submission" issue. The man that answered the call, they are working on the portal, what is important is the reference number received after submission of the application.

Any one who gets selected will be called for the test.

Think they are sorting out the applications from the back cos most people have seen either approved or rejected are people with high registration number mostly those that registered late, my own is within the first 28k....My thoughts sha but one thing is sure, once it's still showing pending successful submission, it's shows you are still in the race. Just go look for a chill bottle of orijinzero to calm your nerves.....

Please those of us whose applications are approved, I want to know if your institutions section was still indicating "No Institution Found"
I want to guage if that is the reason the applications of some of us are yet to be approved.
Recall we had the issue of institutions disappearing after they had been entered during registerations. Mine is still showing "No Institution Found" and no edit button to try to re-input Tertiary institution details again

Is there anyone who got approved with "No institution found" still written?
