Major issues I notice when inspecting nigerian used vehicles is abuse.

Wrong oil types used over long period of time.

wrong electrical connections

water in reservoirs and radiators instead of coolant.

patched exhaust systems, instead of replacement.

Try and buy straight from owner, and not dealer. they can answer the question on servicing history.

Dealer is just interested In a sale.

For the rav4 if you hear and suspension noises going over rough surfaces, it is most likely the steering rack.

also check the A/C system is the factory compressor is still installed.

For the RX330 ensure you scan to be sure its still using the specified Gearbox and has not been swapped with a 10pin

also check for the a/c compressor type.

Both cars should come with variable displacement compressors.

As a mechanical engineering graduate, I could relate with most of the terms you effortlessly throw around when answering questions. But I wish I have half of your technical abilities.
I am convinced beyond doubt that you know your chosen profession inside out.

tachometer gets feeds from engine ecu, engine ecu gets engine rotation speed from crank/camshaft sensors. abs does not control tachometer.

Air conditioning for an 09 camry requires input from the crank/cam sensors to operate properly.

the speedometer gets speed inputs from the ABS module, the abs module gets the feeds from the wheel speed sensors.

Is tachometer synonymous to odometer.
