Politics / Ohakim Condemns Killing Of Leader Of Imo 10,000 Jobs Restoration Forum by cityweekly(m): 12:02pm On Apr 11, 2015
*Calls on Imolites to vote out Rochas Okorocha

Former Governor of Imo State , Dr Ikedi Ohakim has condemned the killing of the leader of the Imo 10,000 Jobs Restoration Forum , Comrade Ugonna Omereonye , describing it as ``pathetic, crude and inhuman”. Ugonna was murdered yesterday night in his home town by thugs suspected to be of the APC.

Ohakim , who spoke in Owerri , described Ugo’s death as a great loss to the youths of the state. He said that the death had robbed the state of a great one who was not pleased about bad governance in Imo and was after the good of the youths. The Former governor, who described those who killed Ugonna as "barbarians", wondered why some people could take another person’s life without any compunction.

He commiserated with the family of the late Ugo and prayed to God to strengthen them in their moment of grief. He called on Imo youths to come out in large numbers and vote for PDP. ‘This Okorocha's government that is insensitive to the plight of the people of Imo State must go’’ Ohakim said ‘ We can’t allow a government that sacked 10,000 graduates of the state and refused to create employment for the youths to continue ‘

It would be recalled that In June 2011 and in an odd little rhetorical ramble on radio and television, Governor Okorocha announced the suspension of the 10,000 jobs created by the past administration of Ikedi Ohakim and sacked the Chairmen and Councilors of the 27 LGA’s in Imo State. Till date council elections never held in Imo.

To register their displeasure over the suspension of the 10,000 jobs , Comrade Ugonna Omereonye led thousands of the sacked workers to the streets of Owerri demanding that the governor should relapse on their sack from work. The governor told the protesting youths that he had already set up a committee to review the 10,000-job programme, with a view to aligning it with the prevailing realities in the state. For four years Okorocha refused to re engaged the sacked 10,000 workers and Ugonna continued with the struggle to get the jobs back visiting media houses and radio stations.

He told the world that Ohakim's recruitment of the 10 000 job was the best Imo has ever experienced, a job the beneficiaries applied online, and took the interview at Satellite towns closest to them. A recruitment exercise that was sweat less, a job that paid beneficiaries from 50,000 naira upwards, a job that paid 6months salary to its beneficiary. He was made offers for him to abandon the struggle, but he remained strong and committed. Then he started receiving threat messages from some persons who told him to stop the 10,000 job restoration struggle or face the music. Ugonna , was demanding for jobs, he and his colleagues fought hard to get, and instead of the jobs, he was assassinated .

Politics / Open Letter To Voters In Ngor Okpalla, mbaitoli, orji And Ohaji/egbema by cityweekly(m): 9:20pm On May 05, 2011
My dear brothers and sisters, as you all know The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct a supplementary election in four local government areas and one ward in Imo State tomorrow. The Commission, said in a statement in Abuja that the affected areas are our areas of Ngor-Okpalla, Mbaitoli, Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema as well as Orji Ward in Owerri North Local Government . I know you are all ready for tomorrow’s supplementary election. The moment of truth is here. We will be going to the polls to elect who rules our state. We are down to the last critical hours of what has been one of the tightest and most hard fought gubernatorial race. The two front -runners in tomorrow’s election are Chief Ikedi Godson Ohakim (PDP) and Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha (APGA).

Ikedi Ohakim was Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism in Imo State from 1992 to 1993 during the tenure of former governor Evan Enwerem. He later ran for the governorship of Imo State on the platform of the Progressive People’s Alliance in April 2007 and won from where he decamped to PDP. Rochas Okorocha is a former Special Adviser on Inter Party relations to former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He contested the governorship elections in Imo State in 1999 but was unsuccessful. He also contested the presidential primaries of the PDP in 2003 but lost to Obasanjo.

My brothers and sisters, we should all march out to vote for Ikedi Ohakim tomorrow. Ohakim is the incumbent governor of the state and we all know that he is putting smiles on the faces of the people. Ngor Okpalla has a commissioner and some media aides serving in Ohakim’s government, Mbaitoli has two commissioners while Ohaji/Egbema has about four aides working with the governor. Ohakim has also embarked on various developmental projects in these our areas. He is also calm, calculative, meticulous and altruistic. Even in the face of scores of litigations and smear campaign against him, he is neither deterred nor derailed from pursuing the vision of a new face of Imo. He has demonstrated unparallel zeal and commitment in the development of Imo State. He is courageous, sober, competent, and concerned with the welfare the people. Ohakim deserves re-election. It is reasonable to ask for more 4 years for him ,to enable him nurse to fruition many of the projects he initiated.

Also, you all should remember that in Imo State there is a peace agreement that governorship position be rotated on an 8 year tenure between three geo-political zones in the state, namely Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri. Orlu with twelve local governments; Owerri with nine local governments and Okigwe with six local governments. In 1998, the elders and political leaders sat and agreed that Orlu should be allowed to produce the governor first. Hence at the 1999 governorship election, the two dominant parties, APP and PDP fielded an all Orlu candidates, namely Dr Ezekiel Izuogu for APP and Chief Achike Udenwa for PDP. Udenwa emerged governor and served for eight years. It was further agreed that after Orlu zone, Okigwe will take its turn from 2007 to 2015 while Owerri will call the shots from 2015 to 2023. It was also on that account that Ikedi Ohakim was supported to emerge governor in 2007 .

My brothers and sisters, Okigwe zone is expected to govern Imo State between 2007 and 2015 for an Owerri man to take over in 2015. But Rochas Okorocha from Orlu Zone has refused to abide by the peace agreement of the state and is contesting the gubernatorial election in total defiance to wish of the people .This is a deep embarrassment to the people of Imo State. Although Orlu zone by its population and natural endowments is the largest and most viable, it made it clear that it would abide by the zoning arrangement, hence its massive and unwavering support for Okigwe zone in 2007.
Rochas Okorocha hails from Ideato South local government area of Orlu zone. Yes,one will acknowledge that the constitution of Nigeria confers on him the right to seek election into any political office in the land but one should be disturbed by the implications of his actions as regards the political stability of Imo State. He is triggering ethnic conflicts by insisting on challenging the rights of Okigwe people to complete their eight years just like Orlu did between 1999 and 2007.

One is also worried by the strange politics played by Rochas Okorocha, politics of violence. He is a man with penchant for violence and total disregard for constitutional authority. He wants to disrupt the political system in Imo State so that crisis will become the lot of the state .How can we allow such a man to rule Imo state. Anyone who is unaware of Rochas penchant for violence should remember last month when his supporters unleashed mayhem on Nigerian Horn Newspapers. The newspaper had published a news-story that Rochas was a member of Ogboni secret society. They quoted their sources and even spoke with Rochas’ men. Yet the APGA chieftain could not hold himself and his supporters. By the time his thugs left the premises of Horn, destruction, desolation and near death reigned supreme.
Also Rochas out of frustration for not securing a venue for a hurried rally, took laws into his hands and barricaded four major roads in Owerri including the one leading to Government House. He instigated his supporters to attack the convoy of Governor Ohakim who was with former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. What about the way he and his supporters hold Imo state hostage ,beating up people and destroying properties when we were expecting the April 26 election results from INEC? What about when he and his supporters went to Ngor Okpalla, destroyed Ohakim’s billboard that was mounted there and clashed with the people of the area that are supporting the governor?

Can a man with such temperament be entrusted with enormous powers of a governor? Do we allow him to bring the violence notable in Jos where he resides to Imo State? The level of security breach that Rochas is introducing has never been witnessed in Imo State . If such a man takes over the leadership of the state, can’t we see that he will use brute force to crush anybody that tries to oppose his government? One wonders why somebody who aspires to be governor does not have respect for authorities. He is showing us that when he becomes governor he would make sure the people sleep with their two eyes open. When a man sleeps with his two eyes open, it means there is insecurity and violence in the land.

Why will any one see him as a messiah ? Is it not the same Rochas that was humiliated out of office as Chairman of Nigerian Airspace management Agency (NAMA) during the regime of President Obasanjo. His tenure was the shortest tenure as the chairman of a federal government’s agency in the history of Nigeria. There were allegations of contracts being awarded to Rochas’ company at highly inflated rates. Is that not corruption at the highest level? Up till today, Rochas has not told us why OBJ sacked him. But what is glaring is that he was not sacked for competence and probity.
My brothers and sisters, let us vote for Ikedi Ohakim tomorrow. Let us give him the chance to do more for the state. Ohakim already has a road map for solving some of the problems of the state, as he has so far demonstrated. Imo State needs to work with the incumbent governor for as a member of the ruling party, he will continue to draw federal attention to the needs of the people of the state. It will only be fair for somebody who initiated projects to see them to maturity. Four years is not enough to plan and execute such projects. Ohakim needs more than four years.Imo is in the hands of God.

Politics / The Waitress Who Will Vote For Ikedi Ohakim Again by cityweekly(m): 9:00pm On May 01, 2011
http://www.thenigerianvoice.com/nvnewsp/50866/4/pagenum2/the-waitress-who-will-vote-for-ikedi-ohakim-again.html#continue

I drove into Easy Gate Hotel in Owerri,Imo State of Nigeria, last week Friday with burning anger in my heart, hot, bitter anger. I have good reasons to be angry. It tears out my heart. The governorship election conducted on April 26, 2011 in Imo State was declared inconclusive by the Imo State Chief Returning Officer. The Chief Returning Officer said there were no results in four local government areas of the state as elections were either not conducted there or that they were inconclusive.

He said he took the decision to declare the governorship poll inconclusive because the race was very close between the two front runners; incumbent Governor Ikedi Ohakim (PDP) and main rival Chief Rochas Okorocha (APGA). The Areas declared inconclusive by INEC are Ohaji/Egbema, Mbatioli ,Oguta and Ngor-Okpala . It is so sad. I am from Ohaji/Egbema and i,like every other person in the area ,voted for Ohakim and for Goodluck Nanah Opiah with my heart and soul. These areas are Ikedi Ohakim's base and catchment areas and votes from there would have given him a clean victory .

I entered the bar of the popular Hotel to have a drink so as to cool my temper. I sat at a table in the bar. A Waitress came to me .I ordered for a bottle of beer. She kept staring at me and smiling. I noticed her. Her skin was brown and she has big rosy cheeks and big boobs. Her bangs were cut around her face to rest on her wide cheeks that stood high, giving her a proud look. She looks petit, compact and tight.

She smiled with a gleam in her eyes. Everyone seemed to smile at her as they passed her on the way back and forth but she kept her eyes on me .She has small hands, round palms and short fingers tapering into gentle points. Her palms from every look , must be rough. I got that feeling having shaken many hands just like hers. Women with hands like hers must have spent years in the open air, doing the manual labour on the farm. I thought she was a farm girl that moved to the big city, like so many of them do.

I was about finishing my beer when she came to my seat and said “hello, Ken!"

Ken ? God ! it was shocking to notice that she know me. Do I know her? "Hello," I said

“Do you remember me, Ken? Don't tell me you don't remember Chioma .We were in the same University in Port Harcourt together, the Ohaji girl ”

Hmmmh, the mention of the name brought me back from outer space .My mind went off from anger and bitterness to the fact that Chioma, old school friend, Chioma, was standing right in front of me. She has changed a lot. Now a Waitress in a big hotel.

“What is happening? I just heard from NTA that INEC, after its meeting in Abuja has decided to hold fresh elections on Friday May 6th, in four local government areas of Imo State where the conduct of the last gubernatorial election was ruled inconclusive. INEC decided that there would be repeat election in Orji ward in Owerri North Local Government Area where there was problem during Tuesday's election, Ngor-Okpalla, Mbaitoli, Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema” She said

“You mean it? “ I answered
“My brother, they think they can rob KIM-KIM his victory by cancelling the election in the areas where they know he won greatly. KIM-KIM won them and he will win them again. What they do more is propaganda and name calling. Imagine Ararume and Rochas that are contesting election, yet they cannot conduct themselves with sense of responsibility expected of those vying for leadership. Using thugs and miscreants to hold Owerri hostage. They want to get into power by crook “she said

“My sister, no be small thing-o. The flame of propaganda genocide that is unleashed on Imo state and on Ikedi Ohakim by the duo of Ararume and Okorocha is very alarming . They have reduced political contests to do-or-die affair .Instead of addressing issues critical to the lives and well-being of the people of Imo State ,they are unleashing thugs and hoodlums on us” I replied.

“We will vote for KIM- KIM again and again. All of us have to go back home to enlighten our people of the latest development. Our people and families will have to come out in large number again to vote for KIM-KIM. Ohakim deserves re-election.It is reasonable to ask for more time to enable him nurse to fruition many of the projects he initiated” Chioma said

“Don't talk of Ohakim loudly here Chioma, before thugs of Rochas will skin you alive.Thugs of Rochas are all Owerri” A Waiter said.

The Waiter came out from God knows where with a deep plastic container . It was full of dishes. Couldn't tell if they were clean or dirty as I spent my time wondering where he came from and why he was listening to our conversation. His face was a dirty mess of unshaven scraggly facial hairs. As he came closer my energy changed. And my appreciation of food did too. And then he spoke again.

“We are down to the last critical hours of what has been one of the tightest and most hard fought gubernatorial race.To me ,i want Ohakim to win but i can't say it loud here.Thugs of Rochas are all over Owerri harassing and intimidating people “

“We must be bold.We must go home and educate our people on the need to vote Ikedi Ohakim again. Ohakim has done well for the state. Ohakim has tried to keep very faithfully to the agenda of peace and security, infrastructure development and human development in Imo State .He has created employment in all tiers of governments,in the health sector, education and even in the civil service he has offered employment to various Imolites.More than fourteen thousand (14, 000) have been employed ' I said

“But why the bad publicity about him.?' The Waiter asked.

“Do not judge Ohakim by how much his adversaries dislike him. Do not judge Ohakim by the propanganda of his opponents. Rocha's camp and the Udenwa-Ararume camp are responsible for smearing the name of Ohakim and the negative propaganda that clouds his efforts and achievements because they want to wrestle power from him. Ohakim is not only the most qualified, he is also the only more experienced in the race. It will be a big, big mistake if the people of Imo State would choose another person from another political party at this time to lead them. Presently PDP in Imo State is leading with 18 House of Assembly seats,APGA has 7 .PDP has 8 House of Representative seat, APGA has only 2.PDP has 2 Senate seats,APGA has just one.Above all,PDP won the presidency. Don't you see that Imo people will benefit more if they have a PDP Governor? Let us join hands to re-elect Ikedi Ohakim “ I said

I noticed that everyone in the bar have stopped mid sentence, their glass cups, static outside of their mouths and their mouths wide open as they listen to our conversation.

“Ohakim already has a road map for solving some of the problems of the state, as he has so far demonstrated. A new leader will use at least the first four years to settle his or her costs of the election. Imo State needs to work with the incumbent governor for as a member of the ruling party, he will continue to draw federal attention to the needs of the people of the state.”

“My brother, I will vote again for Ikedi Ohakim in Ohaji my area on Friday 6th May. It will only be fair for somebody who initiated projects to see them to maturity. Four years is not enough to plan and execute such projects. Ohakim needs more than four years .Moreover this Rochas ,is he not the one Obasanjo sacked as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in 1999 over allegation of inflation of a radar contract? Is he not a confirmed looter? Why is he trying to spoil the zoning system in Imo State. “Chioma said

The Waiter mistakenly dropped a glass while trying to clean the table. The cup shattered into thick white pieces across the floor. One piece clipped my blue jeans and spun on the floor. I noticed the dirt on the floor for the first time. But the Waiter held himself together and smiled cheerfully.

Religion / T.b Josuah(the Rise Of A Nigerian Anti Christ ) by cityweekly(m): 2:46pm On May 11, 2009
T.B Josuah(The Rise of a Nigerian Anti Christ )
-Confession of former inner disciples
(source www.cityweeklynews.com)
http://famouspeoplenews.

For years Bisola Johnson served Prophet T. B. Joshua the overseer of the Synagogue church of all Nations,Lagos –Nigeria. The world heard her voice proclaiming the greatness of her master, T. B. Joshua. The same voice City Weekly News gathered, is now crying out and exposing the alleged gory details of the messy and dirty secrets of her former Pastor and Boss, Prophet T. B. Joshua in a DVD titled “Deception of the age” The rise of a Nigerian Anti Christ, currently being sold in some Nigerian churches in a bid to expose the manipulative spirit and false miracles performed by T. B. Joshua to deceive his teaming followers and the world at large.

Remember that in an interview granted a Nigerian newspaper sometime ago, the Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God – Pastor E. Adeboye, said he will never for anything worship in the church of Prophet T. B. Joshua.  Bisola Johnson is not alone in this open confession about the gory activities of Prophet T. B. Joshua. She is supported by other ex-disciples and members of the church among whom are Paul Agomoh- a former top pastor in the church, Nosa Idumumonyi and Francis Egharevha, both ex members, and all who also told a compelling story of their former prophet.

Bisola Johnson told the world that she was brainwashed and lured into the inner worlds of Joshua’s disciples and that she later become his sex mate. City weekly news gathered that when Bisola joined the church newly, she was given a yellowish water to drink and birth with, on a mountain and that she was made to swore an oath to keep secret the inner activities of the church. Later Joshua gave her oil and his picture to worship. She also talk about how Joshua invited her to his bedroom and told her about the need to make love with him. He(Josuah) brought out his manhood and asks her to touch it and for fear of being hurt, she did touch it. He asked for MouthAction, she obliged. She suck his manhood. She said, they make love that day and continuously. T. B. Joshua according to her had a lot of concubines that satisfy his widest sexual fantasy. He would use his brainwashing techniques to persuade parents to release their under aged girls to sign up as disciples. He  encourages competitions among the girls, sleeping with women, To  prophet T. B. Joshua, we gathered, is beyond fun, we understand that it is a means of renewing his shamanic powers.

Paul Agomoh said he joined the T. B. Joshua’s disciple and became his agent. He said Joshua claims to be lord. He said he was brainwashed into avoiding eating meat and fish. He talked about a day when a member of the disciple, a lady was accused of committing fornication, Joshua brought her in front of all the disciples, naked her and poured pepper into her virgina as punishment.

Agomoh told newsmen about how members of the disciple will go to the church gate as early as 4:500am to interview people an screen them. They will tell them their problems and this disciples will take the stories to Joshua which will form the basis of his prophesies.About the so called miracles and healing, Agomoh talked about how wheel chairs are purchased and people are brainwashed to sit on them and to fake healings beamed on television. T. B. Joshua, we gathered has a morbid hatred for genuine ministers of God and always abuse and curse them.

According to Agomoh, she has seen T. B. Joshua placing the pictures of top ministers like Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Pastor Adeboye under his shoes and he will use the shoe to walk on his praying mountain ,cursing these men of God. Sometimes, he will use harmer to hit on these pictures and render curses. Pastor Agomoh, also revealed how T. B. Joshua messed up star footballer – Daniel Amokachi. Amokachi came to the synagogue with some knee injury and instead of Joshua to pray for him, he plotted with his disciples and converted him. Amokachi never succeeded. He stops performing  well in football, he was reduced by Joshua to a mere super market attendant and this was recorded without his knowledge. Even Kanu Nwankwo went to the church when he had heart problem to try to solve his problem, but he did not know that he was being recorded which is what T. B. Joshua paraded round the world that he healed Kanu.

T. B. Joshua’s trickery has become so patent that many Nigerian elites have become ensnared, from top celebrities to high level government officials. He has a following among them that is outstanding. Even presidents of Nations, multi millionaires and international figures are among the list of his victims.
The question still remains “Is Prophet T. B. Joshua a prophet of God or a prophet of Baalim? Only time will tell.
