Other SW states would follow suit

grin grin grin Is this one suppossed to be a threat or what? Do states in the SW have a monopoly over making laws for their states? Can they stop Delta.,Anambra,Bayelsa or Enugu from making their own laws.

BTW how many non-indigenes stay in Ekiti ,Ondo or Osun?

The scenario may be similar and not the same even in South - South , there are boundaries and they become hostile , if they feel upset they feel entitled by breaking the oil pipes , forming modular refineries, a lot of them had to be begged, compensated , educated on scholarship, they currently give them (non state actor) millions of naira on regular basis to ensure there are no oil pipe issues, so these are also form of ENTITLEMENT they say it's their land and they have to be compensated or treated fairly, apart from 13% deriation fund and another percentage to specific oil producing community.

The other day the rivers indigenes disturbed to death the contractors in the state because they want a great high percentage of their indigenes to be part of the project. Sense of ENTITLEMENT , "na our land be this " kind of... so it's everywhere, think rightly..

Dont worry pass your ow law and maybe you will soon find out that LSHA does not have the monopoly of passing laws.

even we southerners know how crafty them igbos are. They think other tribes are supposed to be fools. Here in asaba, they have bought most lands one area they call bonsaac. Now they are fast relocating from east. One useless woman was on call, saying asaba was as good as no man's land as igbos have bought so many lands That's how they start. The surprising thing is that they are relocating south cos of high level of insecurity in d east, especially cos of ipob they clapped for at d beginning. Now some Igbo's are capitalizing that since Igbo-speaking tribes live in delta, then its Igbo's state. Some are trying to promote anioma agenda,,,, of creating out a state comprising the Igbo speaking tribes, with the intention of claiming Igbo state across the Niger, meaning east/Igbo is no longer land locked, creating avenue for their criminal brothers to extend their skullduggery from east to south, forgetting that the Igbo-speaking tribes like Ika people are from benin. Asaba/ OKpanam are from Igala, kogi

Oga but Asaba is igboland. What brand of weed are you smoking? IAsaba is not in the SE but it dpes not make it less an igboland just like yorubas in Kogi and kwara states.

As narrow-minded and hateful you people are, dont rush to make laws that will end up haunting you in the near future....

Power is not permanent...

No they should go ahead and try it.The South-south state house of aasemblies will quickly pass laws to take over control of their oil.

Go and first open up SE to other ethnicities in Nigeria before yapping your mouth. I have never heard of a Benue, Efik/Ibibio or Yoruba person that attributes their success to living in SE.

Las las, if e tire you, you go relocate back to your side, where the constitution doesn't prevent you from sitting-at-home every Monday.

All your rants end here on nairaland. Such laws will never make any headway hence the Niger-delta states will have long passed laws to control their oil resources and what will happen to poor states like Ekiti and Osun? How will they survive without oil money?

They chose Lagos... No problem if they want to relocate.... Lagos will always survive without their presence

Good. But beyond that if Nigeria is to go by that way even the Niger-delta oil money will be for Niger-delta states alone. They will aslo pass their own laws to control their oil resources.

Another characteristic of alpha males is that they actually resort to violence to prove that they are alpha males.

So what will happen if the alpha males decide to use violence and reject the courts decision? If the wife tries to use the courts or police to enforce the law then the alpha males may decide to send boys to rape, beat and amputate the legs of the wife.

This is not Europe where you have bastardized, useless, and effeminate males that will sign half of their cheque to the wife.

In Africa, you get killed for claiming what's not yours.

the high court is not the highest court in Nigeria. This case will eventually get to both the appeal and supreme courts.

Intrepid01:

The case they referenced has to do with an individual being nominated by 2 parties, it is not the same as an individual being nominated for two positions within a single party. APC already has a reference case (Ahmed Lawan) in this regard and they they won it. Additionally, disqualifying Shettima does not invalidate Tinubu’s candidacy or his election. Someone need to let Obidients know this. All these petty allegations won’t make the court rule against Tinubu. The Judges at the court don’t make decisions by emotion but rather by facts. Obi will have to prove that he won Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Zamfara and other states, remember the burden of proof is on him and not Tinubu or INEC.

Oga disqualifying Shettima will invalidate Tinubu's election. That is exactlly what happened to David Lyon.

BTW Obi does not have to win Katsina,Kadunna,Kano nor Zamfara to win the elctions.GEJ did not win any of the states you mentioned in 2011

Let me open your skull the more through these few questions. 1. Who filed a suit against Abure and pray the court stops him from presenting himself as the Chairman?

2. The faction that filed the suit; who is their chairman?

If you still can't reason for yourself after these questions, then judge yourself.
Oga there is nothing like faction here.LP has a hierarchy of authority. If Abure is suspended, the NEC would officially meet and hand over authority to the next in line.

Apapa declared himself chairman without NEC hence his expulsion from the party. He was never declared chairman of LP by any court.
Politics / Re: Labour Party: INEC Publishes Names Of Candidates Who Emerged From Abure Faction by cktheluckyman: 3:26pm On May 13, 2023
Majesty7:

Let me explain to you in lame man terms and if you still fail to grasp it, then I will let you and your folly be.

Abure and Apapa were both chosen by LP NEC aa Chairman of the party because they splited into two groups.

Apapa's faction then filed a suit to sanction Abure's faction. They plead that the court upheld Abure's suspendion and banned him from presenting himself as the Chairman because they are the real LP members.

The court through Justice Hamza Muazu, ordered and restrained Abure and the others from parading themselves as national officers of the LP, pending they resolved their case.

This ruling thereby makes Apapa the acting Chairman because his enemies have suspended by the law. If Abure parade himself anywhere as LP chairman, he will be arrested and jailed. Apapa can ceased to be the partys chairman if there is a ruling on that but for now, he remains LP chairman.

If you still don't understand, then congratulations to you.
You are a pathetic liar!! Quote the pronouncement of the judge that made Apapa national chairman of LP!!!

There is no court order or judgement anywhere that Apapa should take over as LP chairman

If Abure has to step aside Apapa is not even the next in line.
