This your package is probably lost in transit. I will advise you tell the sender to file for a missing mail search on https://missingmail.usps.com .
I am experiencing this same problem. The sender filed for a missing mail search yesterday and they are searching for it now.

This snail mail via Malaysia Post can take up to 3 months to get to its destination. Hopefully, you should receive it before the end of January.

As for the tracking update, the package has been despatched to Nigeria.

I didn't receive a brand new laptop sent to me via USPS/NIPOST 3 years ago. I'm scared I won't get this too. I told her to use UPS this time but she mistook UPS for USPS.
