37wks today, and I can’t wait to join you guys in the 4th trimester. Though I still have some things to do and tidy up, so hopefully my lil bun should chill a lirru bit.

Una do well for me oo thanks to all that responded with prayers, links and extract from articles that explained the condition clearly. You all helped in calming the tension in me and asking constructive questions when they were evaluating her yesterday

So the paed we saw said the vagina closure is as a result of vagina inflammation and that droplets of urine, excessive sweating down there and even certain diapers can cause it. And that the area must have been red like a sore and decided to heal and close up because at her age she doesn't have the hormone(estrogen) that is supposed to keep the place naturally lubricated to avoid gumming together.

So he recommended a topical estrogen cream to help her produce the homone and we are to apply it for 2 weeks and that it will lubricate and release the muscles around the site and open the vjay up.

But the only thing is she may start menstruating earlier than her age mates because she's been exposed to puberty hormones at a very tender age. I feel I have failed my girl as a mother. I've been praying for her and asking God for forgiveness

Our next appointment is in 2 weeks time. He said he will only do a minor surgery on the site only if the estrogen cream didn't have any impact after usage but usually there's very high positive result with the cream

Fingers seriously crossed as I'm prayerfully applying the cream, trusting God Almighty to take charge

From now on I'll be checking their vjay everyweek I feel terrible

I second this too. I used solid rock for the first few weeks of my first child’s pregnancy and their service is poor to me. Well, my only bad experience was with the kind of treatment and statement I received from a certain doctor, and that was it for me. I left and never looked back.

I was hoping to port to May when I started seeing discharge at 37 weeks,it continued and stopped at 39 weeks with on and off contractions. I went to the hospital and was checked but was told my cervix was closed.The pain continued till 40 weeks,my doctor said if by 41 weeks I didn't fall into serious labour that he will induce me.I was hoping for a serious contraction but it was the same on and off,I rushed to the hospital one morning when the pain was severe only for the nurse to check and said I'm 2cm gone that I should go and come back, I got home and the contractions stopped again.At 41 weeks,my hubby followed me to see the doctor, the doctor said I should book for CS but if i wish to,I can try that he will induce,I left his office dejected,I was admitted the next day,he did cervical ripening for me and blood started gushing out,I was told to endure and let the balloon fall off,when the balloon fell off,I was already at 6cm.I was placed on drip and induction started,a nurse forcefully burst the water bag claiming that the baby will come fast,but for good 24 hours,I was in 6cm and groaning in pains,baby too struggling to come outside, different nurses and doctors kept on coming to check if I've exceeded 6cm,my private part became swollen cox of too much fingers and instruments entering it,when the induction was 38 hours,I started feeling dizzy,like my soul will soon depart,my baby heartbeat was beating fast,I started shouting that I will soon faint,they started running around, was placed on oxygen for six hours,I told the doctor i don't want to try again,that I will do CS. I was given a form to sign and was prepared for theatre.I was already weak cox immediately the nurse bursted the water bag the previous day,water and blood kept on gushing out of my private part.They had to fixed two drips for me inside the theatre so they can get a visible vein for injection. Within twenty minutes, I was cut and my sonshine was brought out,I was shown my baby and my joy knew no bound.I thank God for his faithfulness over my life and family,the Lord that didn't allow my nine months journey to end in vain.Tho I'm still nursing the pains till date,I appreciate God cox I know with time,I will recuperate. I appreciate my June Cappo and team members, you're all wonderful. Safe delivery to the remaining pregnant mums.

Not to dampen your spirit, but nothing works for most people. It will go by itself on or before the 12th week for majority of women. Just keep pushing it and enduring.

You can however try these if it will work, drinking ginger tea or eating dry cracker first thing in morning before even getting out of bed.

I’m doing fine, and baby’s doing fine too. Thanks to God.
Almost 36 weeks.
Baby’s head is down, my bags are packed and ready to go.
I’m so anxious to get to delivery day, cos I’m tired of waddling, constant urination, especially at night when it’s hard to lift my legs and get up from bed.

But in all sha, all is well.

the obgyn said it’s very normal oh. He explained that it happens if your uterus is pushed up against your diaphragm, it might affect your breathing and then heart rate. Best thing to do is to take a little rest and calm down

However he asked that I do a scan to be sure that my fluid is not too much as that might contribute to my uterus pushing up against the diaphragm. Thankfully the scan came out well. Fluid is very ok. Not to much, not too small

I’ve also been scheduled for a test as well during the week, which I have now forgotten the name, something glucose something, for pcv. This is to rule out any otherissue, which I can’t remember the name as well, (too many medical terms abeg)

But i believe all is well. It’s very normal

Amen, although I read and also heard from my nurse that it's normal as it's part of the package for now. It will stop as time goes on.

i really pray so that it’s normal. My antenatal is today, would mention it

I am a first time mom with no experience but I don't think it is normal. When last did you do a pcv test? You should visit the hospital tomorrow or monday just to be certain.
