I don't have statement of result, only Bsc certificate. I've even mailed the school that gave me conditional offer, they said what they can do for me is to defer my admission till September 2023.

I think some non academic staff are still working, I got my transcript two weeks ago from OOU. I applied in march and the hard copy was sent to my address, I was really surprised.

wowwww are u serious?? apart from making the request on the online portal, did you go to the school during the strike to push further. just curious if any extra effort got your transcript faster.

I'm still on the table oh, all the links i have tried to contact says nothing can be done till the strike is called off, even after offering to pay any amount.

I can’t be the only one that Nigeria is happening to. Because of NASU strike, transcript that I’ve requested from OOU since January has not been delivered..
See one of the reasons why we are all fleeing from this funny country…
I’ve received conditional offers for September, and it’s just transcript they’re requesting for. I’m really frustrated, sad and angry.

I wonder if there are universities that give unconditional offers without requesting transcript.

Some university gives offer even without you uploading transcript, passport or original certificate. Mind you, some universities are on holiday / Easter holidays. Once ASUU, NASU strike is over, waka go OOU main campu, show them your etranscript receipt, you can be lucky to walk home with copy of your transcript.

Got offers from Edinburgh Napier and Stirling using only B.Sc certificate . They didn't insist on transcripts.

OOU is really frustrating me, almost 3 month no response regarding my transcript request. I have applied to a few schools though, with only my BSc and I’m worried I haven’t gotten any offer yet cos of that.

Hi, apply for conversion courses if you are from a non computing or IT background. The offers I got are IT courses and my BSc degree was in Environmental Management and my work is strictly environment related.

I know a few schools that offer any of these courses to applicants who desire a career switch... check out these few ones:

1. University of Salford
2. Keele University
3. University of Bradford
4. Solent University
5. Liverpool John Moores University
6. UWE, Bristol

Those are the few I can recall...

Now, to those trying to discourage people from seeking to switch from non-computing backgrounds into Data Science and other related computing fields... it's all not about leaving 9ja to study in the UK. But it's all about studying a course that is sellable out there...

If you have passion for computing course, develop yourself with free online foundation courses from Udemy, Coursera, SimpliLearn (they will issue you certifications) or even plenty ones on YouTube. This will be your edge in securing admission and coping with the course when you eventually get there...

God will not do your planning and thinking for you. I used to advise people that one has to be intentional and plan very well before you leave the shores of this country... UK no be bed of roses!

God will help us, UK will favour us in Jesus name.

hmm it’s online official price my sis-in-law paid that she is yet to get her passport. She did this in September.

Paying the official price is supposed to be the right thing, but the Nigerian corrupt system will not let you drink water and drop cup.
