@classiqkid

i don't think it will do you any good coverting pound to naira it's rather odd! you are spending pounds not naira so there no point always converting pounds to naira when you are buying things
Actually it does.Maybe not to you,but it actually does and theres nothing odd about it.

@achinu

Your right about the vacation thingy o.I kno some guy that lives out there in the state's his been livin there for the last 10 years. Currently his not working sha, so basically I asked him one day while i was in naija, that when was the last time he ever travelled. He couldnt even give me answer.It was kinda funny now that I think bout it.Cuz it jus goes to show how naija ppl live there lifes in the states.No job but yet his using a contract phone which his parents are paying for,partying from thursday to sunday and driving across country like crazy.Its hilarious.And yet now he finding it very hard to get up from his lazy ass and find a job so that he can start preparing to work to come over here and Naija next yr summer 07
TravelRe: Nigerians Living The Dream Life Abroad by classiqkid(f): 12:48am On Aug 07, 2006
Well it depends sha, Right about now. The way i see it is like everyone’s struggling to make ends meet things are expensive like for instance. v mobile is 500 naira right(Naija network) which is equivalent to £2.50 while we buy our Tmobile credit which is £5.00 which is equivalent to 1,200 naira. Can u jus imagine? A friend of mines wants to come over and I feel so sorry for him because he doesn’t really know what his in for. Obviously when he comes he'll have to work, go to school, by bus pass which equivalent to 3250000naira(plz correct me if i wrong) cuz obviously he or she cant walk everywhere by foot. And another thing is he or she would wanna look good which involves money, Then pay for were they are leaving and play bills like electricity or gas and so and so. So my advice is yall that stay in Naija are betta off there. And as for me I don’t have any problems cuz I live with my parents but those I do feel sorry for our my friends that come over to London and get stuck here, on those six months visa. Which is a pity cuz that means they gotta do some horrible jobs and at they end of the day they are still not satisfied because of all the bills they gotta pay and all the money they gotta send back home. They can't get a bank account that easily, their uni fee's start from as lil as 10 thousand pounds and they can't even get n9.which is a shame.
TV/MoviesRe: Do You Love Or Hate Nigerian Movies? by classiqkid(f): 12:23am On Aug 07, 2006
The ones I watch are mostly good.If you fit watch with understand you go dey enjoy.I mean c'mon yo they are trying their best.Rome wasnt built in a day.Eventually they will get there.So Dudes and Dudettes support em
babaibadan:
Just a suggestion O! no shout on me O! You guys should try out Adebayo Faleti, Mainframe films productions (opomulero) and some of Tade Ogidan films your mentality towards nigerian movies will change. Maybe u have been watching the wrong movies. Mind you not all movies shot in the US or UK or wherever are always interesting.

Nigerian movies have their shortcomings though;at a particular time they are shooting love films(bitter love,sweet love,controversial love,e-loveLOL) the next its bakassi boys and OPC before u know whats happening only Aki and POPO or watever are the only ones acting.There was also a time that naija movies was all about witches wizards and rituals.
And yup your right about Mainframe they are good.Yall should try watching films like oga,iwalewa or abeni you go dey enjoy.Tade ogidan is good also that film he done last was crazy.

Car TalkRe: Should Okada Be Banned In Nigeria? by classiqkid(f): 4:26pm On Aug 03, 2006
No because there are some place in Nigeria like Balogun market where people can't just drive thru,They gotta use an Okada.So I don't see the point in that.

FashionRe: Girls Are Dirty! True Or False? by classiqkid(f): 9:33pm On Aug 02, 2006
Some guyz are dirty too though.Some of them cant even clean up after them.And correction guyz stink more than gurls,they brush their teeth so when they kiss their mouth stinks lol and their aint even any point of guyz putting on Deodorant after they visited the gym because they tend to stink more.And some guys now adays wear the same clothes 3 or 4 times in a week.

Nairaland GeneralYou Know If Your Nigerian: by classiqkid(op): 9:03pm On Aug 02, 2006
You know you are Nigerian: If your name is so long, or so hard to pronounce, that you either have some "Americanized" nickname, or you use your middle name (which is English). If, you know what your name means. If you know of anyone (including yourself) that has any of the following names: Ola, Sade, Bola, Tunji, Ngozi, Uche, Folake, Ifeoma, Tolu, Tunde, Obi, Chioma, Chituru, Chinyere, Adaobi, Nkemi, Nneka, Bunmi or Fatima If, names like Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Patience, Peace, Blessing, God's Will or Mercy sound pretty normal to you. If, rice and stew just isn't the same without plantain (dodo) If, you would prefer Moin Moin, or Farina (fufu) with soup over McDonalds any day. If, you have ever treated a cold or sorethroat with "Pe-pe Soup", AND IT WORKED!!!!!! If you know what AKATA means. If, your parents or relatives have ever disliked someone because of the simple fact that they were AKATA. (for females) If, not being able to cook stew or soup is one of the most major burdens in life. (another one for females only)If, a Nigerian man who is about 2 or 3 times your age has ever tried to spit game, eeeeeeewwwwww! If, you have ever gone to a Nigerian "get-together" and made a handful of money just for dancing. If, the fact that NAS ESCOBAR is half-Naija makes you so damn happy. If, not properly greeting an elderly Nigerian person has ever gotten you in a load of trouble. If, you or someone you know has ever been sent to Nigeria because of behavioral problems, or if your parents have ever threatened to do so. If, 'afrocentric' AKATA's get on your nerves with those tiger striped outfits. If, when you were little you got FLOGGED (spanked) by someone who of course is Nigerian, but is not your parent, And your parents had their back, instead of yours! (shady huh?) If, you are mad that Musiq Soul Child (even though he's cool) is getting props for starting the "headwrap" craze when you or your mom's been doing that since the dino-age. If, your parents own expensive ass lace (like 200-300 dollars for one outfit), and they act shady when you want money for clothes. If, your parents have ever compared your life here in America to theirs in Nigeria. (i.e. boarding school, no electricity, fetching water, Nigerian Civil War, etc) If, when you parents curse you want so bad to laugh, but you don't wanna get slapped. If, you parents use the word bloody to conjugate words a lot (e.g. bloody fool, bloody nonsense, bloody coward, bloody idiot, bloody shit) If, your parents use phrases like "Ewhoa, Chineke, Che, Ah-Ah, Yepa! God forbid or by God's Grace". If, your parents have ever threatened to kill you, break your head, back, or neck, or to "show you pepe". If, any Nigerian kid that you known for a long ass time is your "cousin". Yeah, Right! If, you have a relative that owns a "shop". Especially if it is a shop that caters mainly to foreigners. If, all of your parents Nigerian friends are your "Uncles and Auntie's, not Aunts but Aunties. If, when you are around Nigerians your accent either comes outta nowhere, or becomes thicker. If, you have Naija relatives in Europe (especially London, England) If, you have a rough estimate of how many Nigerians are at your school. If, you are friends with someone just because they're Nigerian. If, you bond with people more from other African countries (Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Eritrea, Ethiopia), more than Americans If, you or your parents have some kind of stereotype about another Nigerian tribe If, you know more than anything that your tribe is the best tribe If, you know for sure that the Super Eagles are by far the best soccer team in the world. If, you have ever bought green chucks just to match a shirt that has the Nigerian flag on it, GREEN WHITE GREEN! If, you know anyone with dark ass hands and a bright ass face. I wont tell if you wont! If, you attend or have visited a predominantly Nigerian church. And finally, YOU KNOW THAT YOUR ARE A TRUE TO THE HEART NAIJA KING OR QUEEN if you are a GOOD DANCER! Cause ya know Nigerians have rhythm like WHOA! Some new adds to the original 39 You know you're Nigerian if, As a young woman, you're biggest dilemma is sticking to the regular American boys you date or trying to find a Nigerian husband to appease your parents! If your dear Grandmother calls every cereal, "Corn Flakes" You're REALLY Nigerian, if it's your parents that do this. If that same grandmother is always singing old Nigerian language-hymnals or spirituals right before she runs her bath (she NEVER uses the shower!) If whenever Nigeria comes up in the news, you run to your TV set and turn that volume waaaayy up. And you get sooo mad if it's for another bloodbath or scandal that they're in the news for. One more, You know you're Nigerian if you ever tried to describe Nigeria to your American friends as, "Like Jamaica."

Covenant ke? Thats is very dangerous.I wouldn't even think of doing that no matter how inlove I was in with a guy.Its very risky.Just imagine if you did take one while she was still back in Naija and she ended up Overseas like she already is,But this time dating someone.All hell would brake loose,Omo I suggest you move on.
