PoliticsRe: Great Quotes By President Goodluck Jonathan. by Clefcentfelix(m):
[b]When asked about the location of the Boko Haram group who kidnapped the schoolgirls, President Jonathan said: “I don’t know where they are… there is no confirmation of the location of the schoolgirls, you are a journalist, you know more than me.”

- When asked about the government’s effort to bring the missing girls back home safely, President Jonathan said: “I assure you that we will get the girls out but we can only do it with the co-operation of their parents and guardians.”

- When asked about the attitude of the Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke to calls for her to appear before the House of Representative members over her alleged utilization of public funds in hiring private jets, President Jonathan said: “The Petroleum Minister has appeared before the Parliament for over 200 days [really?]… in the Nigerian Parliament you’ll agree with me that there is more politics than work.”

- While speaking about the differences between the Boko Haram Islamic sect and Niger Delta militants, the President said: “The Niger Delta militants are not terrorists, they have a reason for their agitations.”

- While adding to this statement President Jonathan revealed more saying, “I met [Mujahid] Asari-Dokubo for the first time in the State House. Whenever we [the government] call them they come.”

- President Jonathan tried to explain why no one in his government has dared to go to Sambisa Forest, the Boko Haram enclave like he visited the creeks during the reign of Niger Delta militants saying, “If I go there or send any of my ministers they will just kill you.”

- Mr. President took time out to explain that the insurgent attacks has reduced compared to sometime ago when attacks were a Sunday-Sunday affair, he said: “Even when I’m in church I am monitoring what is happening. Anytime I get reports of an attack somewhere… my face will change immediately… my expression will change. It used to happen every Sunday.”

- President Jonathan compared the Boko Haram terrorist attacks with that currently raging in Pakistan saying: “Pakistan [terrorists] has been fighting terrorism for over 10 years now so it’s not something that a 6 months State of Emergency can solve.”

- He said further, “Anytime I hear of any one Nigerian dies I feel pained… even if it’s a Boko Haram member – I am their president.”

- Mr. President tried but failed to explain the difference between corruption and stealing. He said, “People have been confusing corruption with stealing. If public officers steal money they term it under corruption….”

And one extra…

- Mr. President wouldn’t dare allow the media chat end without throwing a parting shot at the suspended CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. While addressing the issue of ‘missing’ $20 billion he said, “If Sanusi hadn’t been suspended he would have come up with a different figure… If anyone steals $50 billion or $20 billion anywhere America will know, they will tell you where it is; it is their money.”

I said average, like an African professor that prays to Jesus or Mohammad. Somebody that should have understood the fundenmemtal scam and lies of christianity/islam better.
Hmm, I think otherwise, this is my reason; many people believe there is a supreme being, though this is an ideology it's acceptance or refutation is not a measure or proof of intelligence. Christian/Moslem professors are not found only in Nigeria. Everywhere in the world there are professors who embrace Christianity/Islam. Maybe some Nigerian dons are performing below par but their religious beliefs can't be a yardstick for their performance

Nigerian professors are lazy intellectuals. Deluded and as unproductive as a blunt cutlass. The IQ of a normal teenager in a functional world where reasons prevails is way higher than that of an average professor in. Nigeria.
That's not correct, some may be lazy, but u shouldn't generalise the situation!
fctboy:
Prof. Osinbajo is far behind the leadership ladder of RCCG. He is in about in the 11th position.
I've advised him not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
How can a Prof. be running errand for a secondary school drop out like GMB ?
You are lifting scriptures out of context, being unequally yoked is not in work relationships but intimate relationships, have you ever worked for an unbelieving boss? Have u ever had an unbelieving lecturer?

@Op: the correct name is Osinbajo

PhonesTelecoms Network Providers Went Too Far With Flash SMS Ads by Clefcentfelix(op): 12:53pm On Jan 10, 2015
I find it annoying that in a day, I get up to at least Five text messages of adverts from a network provider, I am learning how to live with that! The most aggressive strategy that I however feel should be discouraged is the use of flash sms for adverts! This is gross.

Imagine your phone was in ur pocket (sometimes phones get pressed while walking), and a flash message asking you to press ok to subscribe to a caller tunes comes in, maybe you are a moslem and what you were made to subscribe to was 'Let somebody shout Halleluyah'! Not only have u paid for what you didn't want, you would probably have paid also for what you didn't like.

It's a similar case when the aged uses a mobile device! Some very old people who probably didn't get western education, don't use many features on their phones, most of them just use speed dials and few keys! They would probably just press ok when they see a flash message.

Sometimes for even the learned who is holding his phone but maybe absent minded, he may press 'ok' not as his consent but maybe as 'ok, I've heard', he may not realise what he did until people start telling him they like his caller tunes or till he starts getting 'guides to getting the best jobs'

I personally feel the NCC should disallow the use of flash sms for adverts, it's not only a nuisance, I also feel it's a scam!

Science/TechnologySamsung Introduces 'eye Mouse' EYECAN+, Mouse For People With Disabilities by Clefcentfelix(op): 10:52am On Dec 16, 2014
Samsung introduced the EYECAN+, a mouse that allows people with disabilities to compose and edit documents as well as browse the web through simple eye movements.
Samsungtomorrow.com reports that EYECAN+ is the first of its kind, as it does not require users to wear any device, such as glasses. EYECAN+ is a single-unit, portable box that sits below the monitor, it works by wirelessly calibrating with the user's eye at the first use, after which it stores the pattern of movement of the users eyes.

EYECAN+ was developed as a voluntary project initiated by samsung engineers, and a limited quantity is to be manufactured and donated to charity organizations. However both the technology and design will soon be made open source and made accessible to companies that wish to commercialize the eye mouse.
By Just looking at a menu and blinking once, the user can select any of the 18 commands from pop-up menus that appear after calibration. The commands include "copy", "paste", "select all", "scroll" etc.

Science/TechnologyRobots Used To Treat Inoperable Head And Neck Cancer Tumours by Clefcentfelix(op): 10:43am On Dec 16, 2014
Alpern is now cancer-free after his throat tumor was removed using Dr. Abie Mendelsohn’s breakthrough robotic surgery technique. (David Alpern and son are shown in the picture)

Robotic science as we know it has consistently enjoyed a high level of research activity and technological advancement. Recently, researchers have found a way to operate previously inaccessible areas of the head and neck with the help of a robot.

This study was developed by Dr. Abie Mendelsohn, of UCLA Jonsson Comprehensice Cancer Centre member and director of head and neck robotic surgery at UCLA.

This research comes at a very crucial time as it helps cancer patients who seem to have little or no hope of survival.
