Autos1 Week Used Registered 2006 RAV 4(Bluetooth, reverse Camera & 2.0 Eng) Not avail by cleric(op):
Vehicle was bought n registered on 20th Feb, 2017 ( just a week). Not driven more than 100km after being bought. Vehicle is still in use and as such this will increase. Vehicle is a 2006 RAV 4 that is fitted with reverse camera and Bluetooth that are working. It is a 2 litre engine and as such is rare and very fuel efficient. Vehicle is very clean and is being used by my wife. I need to sell it so as to meet up with some personal stuff that just came up. The car was bought far higher n as such a good bargain. Please call only for inspection and if serious.

Nice one madam! It is people like you that can change the mentality of this country. Little by little , we will get to a point where stealing in office or out of office will no longer be praised. A point where the man that steals a mobile phone or a goat is NOT given a lengthier sentence than someone who stole billions and is praised for it. A point where people will stop shielding criminals in any guise.

Anyways, everyone has got a personal perception of life's issues and as such have different ways of dealing with them whether other people agree with it or not. It's their choice and I just have to live with it.

Btw, thanks for the contact in Agungi.

Oga, I love this design. So very uncommon but is it that the balcony does not have railings or they are yet to fix it?

Anyway, I fear any property in Ajah because majority of the land there are under acquisition. One begins to wonder how they get CofO/ Governor's consent. Even most of the big estates in that axis is under acquisition. Then the owners will tell you "don't worry, government cannot just come and demolish these fine houses". Then I laff in Spanish as I remember Maroko and what they recently did in the mile 2 Badagry axis. Thorough investigation, independent acquisition of the coordinates and confirming from Alausa directly about these coordinates is paramount. Kai, I suffered when I was looking for land in that area some years ago.

And what will the apology do? Put an ante room in a house that doesn't have one. Or give a better sleep?

A detailed soil test would have given you a better idea of the engineering properties of the soil, and such test may cost less than 2% of actual construction cost.

This approach is not advanced form of raft, it is still a simple grade foundation (which people like to call raft here on nairaland). The truth is any foundation built on the grade in a Sandy terrain like lekky will always settled no matter what

Oga abdulwastecx and Segun,

Nice write up from both of you on the subject. Very constructive criticisms and maturity in accepting criticisms. Not everyone takes kindly to open corrections and are even willing to openly correct people.

Whether it is advanced raft foundation,a simple grade foundation, just a mere pile cap or cellular raft is not for me to say as I have no expertise in that area. However, I must state that I agree with Oga Segun on his choice of words " drastically reduce settlement". He did not say the method eliminates settlement. This system has been used by someone close to me and his 2 storey building did not settle more than 2 inches. Yes, it was marked and monitored. You will agree with me that for a building of 6 flats not to settle more than 2 inches after roofing is quite remarkable. However, note that the some other things were done prior to constructing the foundation. I must confess it is a money intensive technique but it gets the job done and gives the owner sound sleep at night.

Btw abdulwastecx, are u done with the project you were doing in the east? Are u back in lagos now? Abi u decided to return to PHC? angry

An Ante room is a space or lobby prior to the main area in the house.in such a way that door does not lead directly outside.

So what are we saying?
Oga Segun,

I have never involved myself with anything that has to do with Brabus. But what you pointed out is very clear and his denying what is glaring is quite appalling. Sometimes, a man should apologize and if need be, clarify any thing that was misconstrued. I see no reason why he couldn't apologise then admit that it was later modified.

Hello cleric,

The same answer applies for your situation as well. Plans can change - so the most important part for ALL interviews is to be honest and completely transparent about your purpose of travel. It is best to disclose to the officer immediately that your wife plans to have a baby in the U.S. and NOT to wait until the officer asks if she is expecting.

Regards,

Wow! Thanks for the the very prompt response.

Hello danowena,

If your wife is currently pregnant she will need to bring some additional documentation to the interview. Pregnant woman often undergo additional questioning at the port of entry in the U.S. They are required to show documentation from the medical center where they will be receiving treatment and proof of sufficient finances to pay for all medical and personal expenses while in the U.S. Because your wife is showing (clearly pregnant) she will need to prove to the officer during the interview that she has a plan for medical treatment in the U.S. (a doctor or hospital that she has been in contact with); she will need to show proof of finances and a provide a detailed budget for the estimated expenses that she will incur during her time in the U.S. Having all of these documents in order will help your wife not only during the visa interview but also if she is granted a visa, it will help her at the port of entry.

Regards,
Abuja NIV Team
Hello VO,

Thank you for the wonderful response above. Coincidentally, I am in a replica situation with my wife's interview scheduled for next week in Lagos. Difference in our story is that my wife and child are planned for Texas. My challenges however are that we just learnt that airlines are reluctant to accommodate pregnant women that are more than 36 weeks gone. This has prompted us to change our plans from holidays to just having a baby. But we already submitted our DS-160 form that indicated she is planned to stay for only 3 weeks with relatives. However, with the change in plans we want to extend it to 4 months stay which is more than adequate for her to deliver. Additionally, I want to make provision for long stay accommodation rather than her staying with relatives who could start behaving very funny towards her later.
Sir, do you suggest we fill another DS-160 form to reflect the immediate changes in length of stay and intended accommodation? Or should we simply tell the interviewer of these changes during the interview?

He cant even do something about the faulty transformer in the area where he lives. The guy hasnt even become the chairman he has embezzled millions, one can only imagine what he would do if he becomes. Smh for this state. It is called act of God and nothing the govt can do about this. U should stop blaming govt for everything. People living in the bay area are aware of risks of ocean surge. This does not only happen in Nigeria, remember hurricane Katrina that happened in the USA in 2005 killing thousands and destroying properties worth more than $100 billion. Also hurricane Irene in 2011 still in the USA destroying properties worth about $60 billion. These things are act of God and little can be done to prevent them. If u are living close to the ocean, u should be aware that these things are bound to happen.
Do u also blame the govt in the event of earthquake or volcanic disaster?
please you guys should be informed that the ocean protection project has reached the Jakande area and is less than 2 km from the alpha beach.

I know for fact that Akun and Itara are the two best out there when it comes to wood for roofing. I used Akun and Itara for my roofing. They are both heavy and need no treatment. No termite comes in contact with those two woods. They are very expensive to buy.
Akun came highly recommended so that is what I am using.

The lightening collector is passed beneath the roofing sheets as you described. I hate to see wires and copper tapes dangling from the house, it seems a much higher risk to me.
Now I am certain I am being taken to the cleaners by my carpenter. He charged me 220k for a similar project here in Lagos. Perhaps location is playing a role here.

I am adopting your method of 'conduiting' the copper tapes for the Thunder arrestor. Makes a lot of sense to me. However, I observed you have only one arrestor for the two buildings or am I wrong? If not, will only one arrestor serve both?

OK sir. But I never really like high roofs.. I may stay at 12ft and Max 15ft. Thank you Boss.

Hajji M.
Some carpenters will argue that if the roof is not high (thus steep), the stone coated style of roofing will leak. They also argue that if there are curves in the pattern of the house, it will be difficult to get the beauty once the roof is not high. In my opinion, those arguments are total crap.
But I am open to correction please.
PropertiesRe: The Making Of The Port Harcourt "Duplex + 4 Flats" by cleric(m): 5:20am On Sep 12, 2015
Spyder880,

1. Please can you share the cost of carpentry for the roofing woodwork only?
2. Does that mean your lightening collector passed under your roof, into the block work before going into the pit? If so, is this not fire risk as against putting it on top of the roof and on the wall of the building after completion. I must confess, it spoils the aesthetics.
