Jamesqu: Not at all, though it is unreasonable for a contractor to eat into his profit but it is not unreasonable for me to hear it from you .From the bolded I can deduce he has been in doing so in the past. But I hope your client will appreciate this very kind gesture. |
milehigh06: this is really disturbing....this new has been confirmed to be false and still yet people are praising what did not happen...What is going on in this country that we are just stuck on deception and corruption.....why are we still celebrating a false story...dont get me wrong, the schools being able to do what they did is highly commendable but when we go about claiming what we are not and have not achieved we give credence to the hype that Nigeria is a country filled up with fraudsters..

segcymoor: And regarding cost implications . ordinarily piling is quite costly than raft. However, our client has limited budget so we are looking at how to do better foundation (piling) with figures not too far from initial quote. ........e no easy oFrom all that you wrote, nothing made me happier than the above quote. ![]() |
Omexonomy: I have being saying it for a long time Remove islam from the world terrorism will die a natural death.Correct yarn. |
Chekitaut: await, i pray the client adopt the option...because many client(s) do not like to hear pile.I wouldn't think the client has a choice here unless he wants to build a bungalow. From a close scrutiny of the photos, I think that is why there are more bungalows than storey buildings around the site. |
segcymoor: Absolutely! However, for that to work we need 2 options:This is serious but in the end, one has to do what has to be done otherwise the options are to either sell the land or risk other peoples' lives and the funds invested in the development the property because sooner or later, the lapses will begin to show. |
OKOSONALUMINUM: OKOSON ALUMINUM COMPANYPlease, do you know who did the 'mat-like' designs on the wall of the picture above? |
segcymoor: Anyway as scheduled we conduct the soil test and investigation as schedule and behold the result make me afraid because within the area was raft foundation done but I tell you the best and safe foundation to adopt for this particular project is nothing but PILE!Hmmmm....this is interesting. So even an inverted "T" with broad base will not suffice? . We are talking lots of money here because I assume you will need a minimum of 9 columns of pile. |
mufutau55: THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR! (Yes in CAPS). Le't keep up the good work.Thank you very much SIR! segcymoor: Hmmn. I am afraidOga, I am also very afraid. |
i laff in igbira |
ojeffo: MOYES WILL BE LAFFING HARD RIGHT NOW!!!!It's too early for Moyes to laff |
Mnachester united 65% of possession. That is good but we want goals and not possession. ![]() |
Evestar200: hahahaha, date ko, time ni . You guys crack me up. Original delta girl wey dey shine her eyez. ![]() |
segcymoor: To start with:Intend to conduct soil test and investigation.Wow, okay, let's wait for the report of the soil test (I know most clients will not want to hear about soil test including me ). Wishing you all the best. |
amazinghomez09: Ok one of the jobs I have done is a twin duplex at Shell pearl estate estate Eneka road portharcourt the house is at roofing level we jst placed the roofing sheetsNice one. |
TheBigUrban2: Or making prophecies about the wealth that tithe paying church members will receiveThis issue of tithe is a never ending debate on various websites and nairaland is not exempted. |
Oduduwaboy: None sir!Well, as much as I understand you, I however still think that was a very heavy statement. When it comes to matters of the ministers of God, we need to be cautious. |
pmil: hmm...my oga @cleric the engr....just love your inquisitiveness ....Am sure, you will become a chartered Engr after this class...lol!I hope so. I am learning a lot from the threads especially from spyder, aventure, skimanski, and the owner of this thread. Mufutau's comments on most threads also helps. |
mufutau55: You are right... and this guy is supposed to be an Accountant playing with figures.Took a while for me to discover how Oga Mufutau knew I am an accountant. . |
spyder880: I can vouch for the depth of expertise this guy can bring to the construction business. This is one of my people in PH. There are a couple of young builders I can surety their services in Port Harcourt and this guy is one of them. The other will hit nairaland soon.Very strong recommendation. |
geagle55: is it not better you include the pictures of your finished projects for people to see your handwork. I think it will help you a lot to promote your work.I agree. |
spyder880: Which one is that Sir?Using the roofing sheet in place of a parapet. ![]() |
segcymoor: Will get back to you soon. ....on the hot sit at the moment! From the subsequent pictures, I have seen the answer to questions 2 and 3 already unless ofcourse you just want to throw more light. I am quite curious about the difference between swampy and water logged. I remember that either you or aventure mentioned that there are more challenges with erecting a building in places like gbagada and maryland than most parts of Lekki. I am still trying to get my head around that. . |
segcymoor: Will get back to you soon. ....on the hot sit at the moment!I understand . Tanx |
segcymoor: DAY 1:aggressive pumping in progressThat is quite some water. Question time: 1. Does the fence have a raft base? I ask this because it is obvious the area is prone to flood. 2. Any idea of the level of the compound to the near by road? I mean is it higher or lower? 3. Is dere an access road to the site? I mean will it be possible to drop your utilities directly on the site? |
Nice to know. |
Reporting for role-call sir. This design is very beautiful. Could you please send me the budget (if possible with full estimates). My e-mail is : cleric_lxg@yahoo.com |
kkonsults: 4.2 x 4.2mwow. That is a massive gate house. |
mufutau55: Oga Spyder, after the DPC and even after the house is built, what about the water surrounding the house; how will they get rid of it, so it does not affect the house itself? I am just thinking aloud...Good question. |
ElFenomeno1: Quality post. One of the few sensible ones who have posted on this thread.Thank you. Quality recognizes quality. This shows u av quality also. ![]() |
ilugunboy: Yes I agreed with the President wholeheartedly.....the moddafuckkeer is worse than a crazy man.As much as I agree with the president, the Liberian government is at fault for not blacklisting Ebola patients from travel without further clearance as well as for not monitoring him properly when they knew he had intentions to travel. Well, knowing the Liberians, they have serious inferiority complex to the white skinned man as well as to any black man holding an American passport so I am not surprised he was just allowed to walk through their airport.
