please how much does WES cost for their evaluations?
And how will the credentials get to IRCC?.
I'm not sure how much WES charges, the total cost for wes depends on the mode of shipping you choose. However, for IQAS its a total of $275.

HELP Needed oo! Self employment vs corporate Employment

I am a self employed person and i have been self employed most of my adult life...last time i worked for someone was during NYSC. I also worked at a farm (Agric student) for my IT and worked at my parents' businesses for a long long time.

Question is, how do you advice i handle the issue of work reference and the likes. Do i include my own business as a work experience and other ones i mentioned or its not acceptable.

I know most folks for the EE are people who have been in corporate employment and the likes...do self employed folks stand a chance or PNP is the way?

PLEASE ADVICE!
Firstly, since you are self employed, its taken for granted that you are the CEO of said company, therefore your NOC is NOC013 thereby qualifies you for the FSWP. However, if you are not the CEO ensure that whatever duties/responsibilities that falls on you fits into either NOC 0, A or B and then proceed to find the exact or closest NOC code that fits your job description.

Secondly, its expected that your company/business is registered under CAC, therefore you should have a certificate from CAC to prove that fact.
You will also need to provide an up to date TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE from LIRS and FIRS respectively to show that its a functioning business that pays its taxes. You can also throw in the PAYE receipt (Pay As You Earn Tax which the company is required to deduct from its staff's salary and remit to LIRS on their behalf) from LIRS to show that you actually have staff that you manage/work for you, it will really help with justifying the NOC you chose. It will also make sense to provide the company's Bank Account Statement (including the required Banker's Reference letter).

These are the only things that come to mind at the moment. I will also advice that you do extensive research for more information regarding your situation.

Finally, make sure that you cross check all suggestions and answers given to you on this platform or any other forum against the information on the CIC website. (Use all advice at your own risk oh! lol!!!)

Wish you the best in this our canadian sojourn! We shall overcome! *sigh* smiley smiley smiley

please elders help
i got transcript from unilag for ECA. I have now learnt you also need a scanned copy when you get ITA.
unilag however insists they cant send me a transcript. can anyone please tell me what you were able to submit your application in such a scenario? what did you use please?
You are not required to upload your transcript when filling your application. However, you are required to upload the scanned original copy of the Certificate issued to you upon completion of studies at your university. In addition to the that you will also need to upload your ECA from WES and report from IELTS.

You will need to merge all these documents into one PDF file and upload. smiley

Thanks. It's a masters of public health, we have evaluated it using Wes.
You are fine then, you can use your spouse's ECA from WES.

Hey guys. Thanks for the information shared here.

My accompanying spouse is a pharmacist working in the teaching hospital, has a masters degree so we evaluated the masters degree using Wes.

My question is will there be a misinterpretation if we use the Wes report for masters instead of pebc report? Cos I read pharmacist with hospital experience should use pebc, mind you I am the PA with score of 474 once my own eca is ready.

Is it advisable to include my spouse hospital work experience in work history or not, knowing fully well we have Wes eca report for the masters?

Thanks guys.
IRCC requires that you evaluate only your highest level of education (except you want to claim points for the 2 or more certificates category) However, you get more points using the masters certificate as opposed to the 2 certificates category.

Therefore using your spouse's highest level of education which is masters in this case doesn't amount to mis-representation. However, the subject of his masters programme will determine who will evaluate.

About work history, most people fill out their spouse's work history under the personal history category to avoid going through the trouble of proving it. It might be best if you do the same to avoid any big grammar.

Bjaydjay:
Hello house,

I am about creating my EE profile by declaring my dependents including spouse, but I've not chosen to get points for her Education and Language because we are yet to get her ECA done because of delays from her school.

If I choose to add her as accompanying spouse CRS score drops to 413 but if I claim spouse not accompanying CRS score jumps to 437.

But by adding her, we lose 24 points. What I lose by not adding her is not so clear?

If I get an ITA, she won't get PR alongside me, and I have to become a sponsor and then get her a visitor visa, right? Will the children get the PR alongside myself? How many years does it take to sponsor her to join me/us? What are the other pitfalls that I'm missing by not adding a spouse in EE profile?

Please assist.
As tempting as it is not to include her, its not worth it in the long run. Get her to write IELTS and if she aces it, she could add an extra 20points to your CRS score. I will advice you enter the pool with your present score and start working on your spouse's IELTS. I'm speaking from personal experience.

Cheers mate! All the best to you and your family!

nkigirl:
Hello everyone.

I am the primary applicant and my husband is applying as my dependent because I am much younger and my CRS tool scores are much higher. However, he has all the funds that we need to show as POF in his account. Will he have to transfer the money to my account and give me a gift deed or LOE ? Or, since he is my spouse, can I just use his statement like that as POF and attach an LOE from him?
And do I have to show any statement from the bank for myself as my money no reach or just one POF from one person is enough?

Thanks everyone.
Hi @nkigirl , its okay for the funds to remain in your husband's account but you will attach an LOE from him. However, there are people that prefer that the funds be transfered into their account which will still require an LOE from the husband anyways. So either way is fine.

Why, thank you! Lol!

In fact, when we were waiting for our PPR, I kept giving my hubby side eye and dropping hints that it was his several PCCs that were delaying our PPR. Lmao! But I do not think it had an impact though, I was just too anxious grin

Hello people! i've been a silent follower of this thread for sometime now! I decided to rebuke the anti-social spirit in me and finally say hello!!! grin i started my canadian journey in april and got ITA in june. i have not submitted my application because CIC has decided to punish people that cannot seat their bum in their country cry cry cry Im in the process of getting pcc from different countries including the dreaded FBI undecided thats what is actually keeping me from submitting.
