Hello,

I promised to write about the issue of recurrent miscarriages. In many cases, it is difficult to know why some women miscarry their babies. However, there are a few possible reasons:
- The baby might have some genetic deformity and the mum's body expels it because it is not viable
- The mum's body is rejecting the baby as a result of some faulty immune response.
- The mum's body is not providing the necessary nourishment for the baby.

If you suffer recurrent miscarriages, it might be very useful for you to ensure that you are in the best possible health before conceiving because the stronger you are, the better your chances of carrying your baby to term.

Again in this case, natural fertility therapy can help you before and during pregnancy. visit www.cheriemamma.com or find out about our upcoming events: https://cheriemamma.leadpages.net/lagos-2015/

Kind regards,

Bridget Osho

Hello everyone,

This post is for ladies who have problems like fibroid, blocked tubes and similar conditions like endometriosis. I have already explained that when the body is out of balance, it affects other parts of the body. The same applies to fibroid. It has been long suggested that the ingestion of chemicals and such like has given rise to an unprecedented epidemic of fibroids. While the root cause of endometriosis is not fully known, it also causes several symptoms including infertility.

Natural treatments of fibroids and endometriosis can include: using castor oil packs on your abdomen, massage, moderate daily exercises, eating only organic foods.

Blocked tubes is when the fallopian tubes have been blocked or scarred by infections. This sometimes makes it difficult for the egg to pass through to the womb after fertilisation or prevent the egg from being fertilised by sperm. Natural treatment can reduce or sometimes remove these scars in some cases through the use of herbs to reduce any inflammation if present and fallopian tube massage to loosen some of the debris.

Please note that this is just a simple version of treatment. For more detailed and specific treatment, you will need to consult a Natural Fertility Therapist. For more information, contact me at babies@cheriemamma.com or visit www.cheriemamma.com.

You can also join our Facebook group here: https://www./838427366221136/.

If you haven't considered natural fertility treatment yet, it might be worth your while to do so!

Tomorrow, I will write a post for women who suffer recurrent miscarriages.

Have a lovely day!

Hello everyone,

Today, I will be addressing issues of hormonal imbalance, absent or irregular ovulation etc. While all these issues are different, they also have one thing in common, the hormones in the body are not balanced. You will find that in many cases, someone who has a problem with one will most likely have problems with the other. All aspects of the body are related and a problem with one part will most definitely affect another part. They are many reasons for hormonal imbalance. They include infection, poor diet, stress etc.

The good news is that most people who have hormonal imbalance can rectify it by first of all having a healthy lifestyle in which they eat healthily, exercise and manage stress. However depending on the type of hormonal balance some special diets can be recommended to help your body to heal. The same goes for PCOS. Since Natural fertility therapy believes in allowing the body to restore its balance naturally, it only advocates the use of foods and supplements where needed to achieve this. Proper examination which reveal to the therapist which hormones are out of balance and why. There are no general rules for clients since each treatment is dependent on the person.

If you have PCOS, hormonal imbalance and other related problems, Cherie Mamma is hosting a workshop in Lagos in August to help you manage these problems and conceive. See more details here: https://cheriemamma.leadpages.net/lagos-2015/

As usual, if you have any questions please leave them below or come and join our Facebook group https://www./838427366221136/

Thanks and stay blessed.

Trying to conceive and have no diagnosed medical problems?

It could be one or more of the following reasons:

- Slight hormonal imbalances that can go undetected by normal tests. They don't cause medical problems but at the same time any slight shift can interfere with conception. Ensure that you are eating the right foods in the right quantity, carrying out moderate exercises such as walking, swimming, drink lots of good quality water. You can also see a Natural Fertility Therapist who might be able to pinpoint the exact hormone that needs to be balanced.

- You are under chronic (constant) stress which causes your body to secrete stress hormones and suppress your reproductive functions. I know it is easier said than done but it is possible to manage stress. You will need to identify the stressors and make a conscious plan to manage them.

- You are not having sex at the right time; using ovulation test kits is not always enough to detect ovulation. You might need to manually chart your cycle.

- You are deficient in some minerals or vitamins or have too much of them. Most fertility tests might not pick that up. Again have a healthy lifestyle like I described for slight hormonal imbalance or see a Natural Fertility Therapist.

If you have any questions, please leave them below. In the meantime, you can visit us on Facebook, we will be happy to answer more questions in our Cherie Mamma Preconception Facebook Group. You can also send me an email babies@cheriemamma.com and find out about our upcoming events here: https://cheriemamma.leadpages.net/lagos-2015/

I will discuss the second group tomorrow i.e. those trying to conceive but have been diagnosed with some medical problems such as hormonal imbalance, absent ovulation, low sperm count etc.

Have a great day!

HealthRe: Trying To Conceive And Manage Pregnancy Naturally by cmamma(op): 11:58am On Apr 20, 2015
If you are trying to conceive regardless of how long. The very first thing to understand that you have to take care of your body. After all the body is the vehicle of pregnancy. And this applies both to men and women. The quality of the sperm is important. For the woman to be fertile i.e. to achieve a successful pregnancy, she has to have good quality eggs, have good working tubes, and a healthy uterus. She also has to be able to nourish the fertilised egg from conception till birth. If there is a problem at any of these stages, fertility becomes a problem.

I will classify the information I want to provide into four broad groups:

- Trying to conceive and have no diagnosed medical problems. This includes people who have just started trying to conceive or have been trying for a while without success but the doctors have told them there is no problem with either of the couple.

- Trying to conceive but have been diagnosed with some medical problems such as hormonal imbalance, absent ovulation, low sperm count etc.

- Trying to conceive but have been diagnosed with medical problems such as fibroid, blocked tubes and ashermans syndrome

- Women who conceive but lose their pregnancies in recurrent miscarriages.

Please watch out for my post tomorrow on the first group.

Take care and God bless.

With this post, I will discuss natural fertility treatment. Many of us already have a good idea of medical fertility treatment because we know that doctors can sometimes help with fertility problems by giving medicines, doing surgeries and even advanced solutions like IVF and IUI. However, apart from the occasional notice or advert that promises some miraculous recovery from fertility problems or the herbal mixture suggested by well meaning friends, most people have little contact with natural fertility treatment.

Natural fertility treatment seeks to understand and correct irregularities in the system to make conception occur. It treats every aspect of the person instead if just focussing on one aspect. So for instance, if a woman is not ovulating, the natural fertility therapist will be interested in your menstrual period, your sleeping habits, headaches if any, your work -life balance and many other things. This is built on the premise that every part of the body works together and disharmony in one part will often cause problems in other parts. The natural fertility therapist will then create a personal treatment plan for the person which might include things like suggested lifestyle changes, diet changes, herbal supplements, relaxation techniques and even other alternative treatments like acupressure!
Natural fertility treatment certainly works! It has been practised for centuries in many parts of the world with resounding success. What’s more, there are cases where it resolves problems which medical doctors haven’t been able to resolve. Contrary to what many people might think, there is a science to natural therapy.

Hello everyone,

I am starting this thread in the hopes that it will benefit ladies (and gentlemen) who are interested in knowing how best to conceive naturally. I believe we now live a very medicalised society where we readily believe that unless we are taking some form of medication to solve problems -TTC problems in particular - we are not doing the right thing. I am a qualified Fertility Therapist and would like to pass on some of my knowledge to anyone who is interested.

I will be following up with a post on the usefulness of Natural Fertility Therapy of which I am an ardent believer.

Thanks and God bless.

Hello everyone, hope you are having a great day! Some of you might remember me from a while back. I initially came across this thread and because I am a Fertility Therapist and very committed to helping women to achieve successful pregnancies, I have been posting information here on and off.

Sometimes I read and do not post and I have to say that it makes feel very sad to see the pain of so many women trying to conceive. I also admire the determination and positivity of strong women who keep everyone's morale up. We all know who they are, if I start to mention names, this post will even be much longer than I planned smiley.

I decided to write this post today because I really want to help anyone I am privileged enough to help. I have read different solutions provided by well meaning mums-to-be but I believe very strongly that the foundation of trying to conceive is to know your own body and then heal your body because if there is anything out of balance, successful pregnancy is very difficult to achieve and it doesn't even have to an outright medical problem. I am going to be starting a series of 4 posts on my Facebook page starting next week Monday and I want to invite everyone to follow it. This is the link to the page: https://www.facebook.com/cheriemamma.
In the meantime, if you want to know more about me and what I do, please go here: www.bridgetosho.com or send me an email babies@cheriemamma.com.

Thanks to those who have gone to check out the Facebook page. The series of posts have now started on Facebook. If you haven't checked it out, what are you waiting for? You have nothing to lose and might have a whole lot to gain. Have a wonderful day!

Dasha01: @bolateetoe, you need to pray seriously or you meet your pastor to pray for you cos this case is more spiritual than physical, some of my friends use to have same problems and i advised one that she should never tell her husband when she is ovulating cos her own was that her husband experiences impotency once he hears ovulation, so the girl took my advise and in less than 3 months she got pregnant, her daughter is 3yrs old and she is expecting another one now, another of my friend, her husband use to ask her the date of her period and he will calculate it by himself and will never show up at home till ovulation is over, for me during ovulation we get really aggressive and quarel and dh might go and lock himself up in the guest room or if there is no quarel he might want to remain in the parlour and watch TV (football) and tell me to go to the room dt he is coming so i will end up staying in bed and get angry till i fall asleep only to wake up around 4am and discovered that dh is not by my side and at the end he might just say after all we did it last month and u didnt get pregnant, so few months ago we went to see his friends pastor and he told us its an evil manipulation that they did against our marriage, that pregnancy cant occur when couples have serious misunderstanding during ovulation and he asked us to fast and pray to break that evil manipulation and since then we are now in perfect harmony and football cannot stand btw us, another of my friend is experiencing it presently and her husband is even a pastor and doesnt beleive he can be manipulated he quarels during ovulation and start getting Hot in 2ww and as soon as he bd Af will show up the following day and they will start praying again only to quarel during ovulation again.
I'm not saying that the devil wants anything good for God's children but to be honest, the strain and pressure during ovulation is responsible for a great deal of the quarrels. Many men can't handle pressure, I believe that women are emotionally stronger anytime. It is sometimes better that they don't know when you are ovulating to reduce that pressure. I know I didn't tell my husband, only when I discovered that I was pregnant smiley

My ttc journey so far.>>>>>>I finally attended prof Ajayi's class after I started and done half way the numerous tests with scary names,..I should get the remaining results by month end.some peeps on here tgat said no test can be up to 300k,pls go register with Prof, you go hear weenn! Lolll.so far we have spent over 100k n still counting oh.and he booked me for flushing but I have to do all these tests before he can mix whatever he go use flush. May God help me. I have started charting too but still a learner.

You see, this ttc is a very sensitive matter. No matter how mild they put it, yu still feel somehow unless the person is walking in your shoes even If she Don walk there before, it can never be thesame cos she wld have most likely forget what she or he went tru.
my in-laws asked what's happening and for each time they ask, I don't find it funny.its not that I fight them or something but hummmm, hubby bears the brunt! Just yesternight,I wish I had gone to bed early, one of his aunties came over n said if In 3 months medical effort no yield result, we go go traditional. My question is is there any herb that can give bfp wen tubes are blocked? Has anyone here with blocked tubes or know anyone with blocked tubes that still get bfp with herbs?

I am praying seriously that medical effort will work for me cos I want God to take the glory, I don't want to go bow before any mama alagbo to say thank you.that I am praying for.I know God created both herbs n other medicine for our use but then......
Thanks, I'm fine sis. As for the herbs. Depending on what exactly they will give you, there's nothing wrong with herbs. It's just that sometimes, they haven't been scientifically tested so you can't be sure of the chemicals and the quantities they contain. Also in our country, most herbalists are also worshippers of 'traditional gods' so most of us are hesistant to go to them since like someone said we don't trust where their power comes from. But in actual fact and in western countries, a herbalist just means someone who uses herbs for health and if he/she is a good one, there shouldn't be any problem. But I still pray & hope that your present treatment works so that you don't need to go the traditional herbs way.

Having said this, I'm not a huge fan of medical tests/treatment as a first course unless it is inevitable. Since I don't know what has caused the blocked tube, it is difficult to give any specific advice. It could be anything from scars, infection, inflammation causing the tubes to be blocked. Popular medical options of treatment are flushing and surgery. Herbal treatment include Echinea (which helps with infection and inflammation), Golden seal which also does the same and Ginger which also reduces inflammation and increases blood flow to the tubes. There is also the fertility massage which is very effective when done properly. I know someone posted a link yesterday which would be helpful. My advice to you is to try the fertility massage. If you can also get the golden seal, echinea and ginger, you could try them one after the other (not together because I'm not sure of the side effects of using all of them; pls buy them in proper medicine bottles and follow ALL the instructions and read all the contra-indications). You could also discuss with your doctor about using them even though from my experience, doctors always prefer medical options and might try to discourage you.

Whatever you decide, I wish you the very best of luck! Sorry, this post is quite long smiley

So sorry to hear about your loss. How are you coping with the loss? Did the doctors tell you what went wrong? It's usually helpful to help with future prevention. As for your infection, the best thing is to follow your doctor's advice. Usually it is treatable with anitbiotics and there shoudln't be a problem. It does not affect your chances of conceiving or cause loss of pregnancy. As always make sure you are taking good care of yourself with a good diet, exercise etc. The sooner your body reaches a comfortable environment for concpetion, you'll conceive.

Good luck, my dear!

You are right charting your temperature is part of it but there's lots more to it than that. The temp will give you part of the story but not the full story. Hephzi04: Thanks, i'm 30 hubby 31. Not even sure abt my cycle again, but usually between 27 & 28 days.We are not on any special diet.
Well you are young and it's standard practice to try for at least a year before worrying. The fact that you are not sure about cycle tells me that you are not planning your intercourse for the right time. This is like playing lottery (forgive the analogy), like trying and just hoping that you conceive. The cycles are different from woman to woman so each person has to really know her own body. Also, there are some things you also need to include or remove from your diet. For example you and husbands should eat foods rich in zinc e.g. oats, nuts, Chromium e.g. potato. Reduce caffeine & alcohol.

I'm organising a webinar on Saturday the 26th of July 11am -12noon. For all you lovely mums-to-be who are interested pls go to this link

Hephzi04: Hi everybody, i've been following this tread as a guest for a while now. God bless u all and answer all prayers soon. Pls i've been ttc for more than 7 months now and its really getting @ me. Pls i need help on fertility centres on the mainland in lagos with reasonable fees. I've been on folic acid for more than 3 months now tried wellwoman conception but it turned my cycle upside down so i stopped. Sorry for the long post pls help a sister out.
Sister, it's too early to be thinking of fertility centres if you have been trying for 7 months. Sometimes, conception doesn't take place immediately. Before trying medical options and medication try to see if you can understand and harmonise your body first. If I knew your personal circumstances, I might be able to advice you further. For instance, your age, your menstrual and ovulation cycles, your diet and husband's etc. I am going to try to paste the PDF I promised directly here, it's just that it has pictures and I think it might be a bit messed up if I just paste it but I'll try.

Also does everyone TTC know how to personally chart their cycles? I am not talking about using ovulation test kits; they are good but sometimes not enough. If enough people are interested, I can organise a free webinar to explain how to do it, all you'll need is internet connection to attend. Ladies let me know if you're interested.

I've ask DH to get manix and wellman conception alongside vit E and folic acid for himself and get ovaboost and fertilaid or vitex and EPO for me in lagos.

I want to know if I am a right candidate for fertilaid or vitex bcs I realy want to regulate my menstration to my normal 3 days because since february it has shorten to 1 & half days before I conceived in march and miscarried it in May due to blighted ovum so that is why I want to work on myself and prepare myself for conception.

So sorry for the long post
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, getting all the necessary nutrients is one way for you and husband to prepare yourselves for pregnancy. Supplements are good but like I was saying to another lady here many times you need to make some adjustments to your lifestyle. I wish there was a way to put up the pdf with the tips I have. If there is a way to do so, can someone tell me? Otherwise, anyone who is interested can send me a an email babies@cheriemamma.com and I'll send you the PDF. Good luck! My sister, don't worry especially since the doctor says that there's nothing medically wrong. Sometimes all your body needs (and your husband's body too) is to achieve some balance which you can do by adopting some changes to your diet and lifestyle. I am attaching a pdf doc to my reply that you'll find useful. If you require more info, pls feel free to send me a msg. Fertility and Pregnancy coaching is my trade. Good luck and God bless!

PS: I'm not able to attach the file, keeps telling me there is an error. Can you send me a private msg. I'm new here am not sure I understand how it works. I can always send you the pdf if you give me an email address or send an email to me babies@cheriemamma.com.
