That department is our weakest point. And we ve been punished twice now
I hope the goalkeepers improve or better one discovered.

I don't understand the need for Ighalo to be called back. I mean the Super Eagles are not lacking strickers presently. Osimhen, Onuachu, Iheanacho etc. Its even better to have another 'Ndidi' type of player in the team than Ighalo come back.

Campaign after election.
Rohr must be laughing his head off.

If you want to achieve anything, people like Amaju Pinnick and his band of idiots must first go before anything.
It seems the NFF is corrupt and not the best of Nigerian players are given opportunity to play.
Those foreigners or foreign-based players have the money to lobby for playing time if need be. Watch today's sub when win is needed and Musa and Ighalo were introduced. What does that tell you?

No footballing country in the world can succeed without input of it's local players......check all countries

Our love for foreign based players among other factors will keep pulling us back

Keshi dared to do it and he lifted the nations cup, ditto westerhof in 1994
Maybe a mix. Players like Ndidi and Osimhen should not be left out of the team. Those are passionate Nigrian players.

no sense of urgency at all, they played the game as if they won the first leg by 3 goals and only needed a draw to qualify
And the coach thought that the winning force is Ighalo and Musa sub.

Perhaps not showing concern for the deaths and insecurities in the country. For example observing a minute silent or wearing black armband etc.

Goal keeping error cost us two major tournament.

The GK is as important as the striker, we didn't do our home work well in the goalkeeping department
I said earlier is better to have Enyeama back from retirement than Ighalo

Invest in local league, them say na half caste they want

Keshi took us to glory with mix of local players, I expected eguavoen to do so but we love things foreign
Keshi really tried. I have talked with past Super Eagles players, they said he organised a closed door match between the foreign-based players (excluding some certain established players, such as Yobo and Mikel) and the local-based players
From the match he selected some local based and dropped some foreign based players.

I don't know if this coaching team organize such or only depend on the foreign club name attached to olayers

I almost fought some people here thinking there's no away goal! What a shambolic display by d players. You knew youre on ur way out by away goal..you're still sluggish and lethargic on d ball. Omg!! I was thinking they're reserving energy for extra time. What a shame.
And Ighalo and Musa are the rescuers
The coaching team are funny

Sadiq would have even been a better Sub

Let's start from there sir.
Most of the players in today's need are actually foreigners. Check it out!
They are using Nigeria national team for personal benefit not for national uplifting and benefit.
My respect goes to Osimhen. He was passionate about today's game. He also reminds me of Odemwingi that shows passion to win

Ighalo and Musa introduction was not to win the game, but to fulfill their settlement/agreement to have playing time.
That's not what's needed if the coaching crew consider this game crucial, sentiments aside!

He should have done this sub 10 minutes back..right now we need experience to won us this match. Either Ighalo or Musa will likely score, just watch out! The both of them know how to position for the ball!
Even if they score, they are not needed.
This would have been a time to introduce Onuachu

Why Onuachu was not invited still surprised me. His height is an advantage, and he helped Nigeria qualify for Nations Cup. Is What has he done wrong?

solbase10:
Former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has backed the team to secure a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar at the expense of the Black Stars of Ghana, reports Completesports.com.

The Super Eagles will host their perenial rivals in the second leg of the playoffs at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday (today).

The two teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi last week Friday.

Rohr lamented the absence of Alex Iwobi, who is suspended for the game, but insisted the Super Eagles have the quality to beat the Ghanaians.
“Nigerians missing Iwobi is not good, he is very good at giving incisive passes…“I will tip Nigeria to win 2-1,” Rohr told Accra-based Angel FM.

“Ghana have players for counter-attacks, so if they want to qualify they must use that and make sure they don’t concede.”

The last time Nigeria hosted Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers was in July 2001 and the Super Eagles emerged 3-0 winners in Port Harcourt.

The two teams had drawn 0-0 in the reverse fixture in Accra and the Super Eagles went on to qualify for the 2002 edition in South Korea, and Japan.

Sports › Opinion: Should The Super Eagles Wear Black Armband? by Cmanforall(op): 3:31pm On Mar 29, 2022
Hello Nairalanders,
Today the Super Eagles will be playing the Black Stars of Ghana for a place in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. There is no doubt the match is one of the interesting games to watch today, the 29th of March 2022.
The recent tragic news in the country should be a concern for all citizens, including those privileged to represent the country in football.
In today's game, is it ideal for the Super Eagles to show solidarity to the injured and dead cry by wearing a black armband?

Should Nigerians voice out (through twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc) to ensure the Super Eagles wear black armband ?

What do you think as a NLder?
Please give reason for your response if possible.

Lalasticlala seun Mynd44 what are your opinions on this?

If this had occurred in the western world and should Western media publicise it, he would react.
Same with some celebrities.

In fact, if Nigerians want to pass a strong message against the insecurities in the country and show sympathise for this recent tragedy, let the Super Eagles wear black armband as they play Ghana today.
If I'm a striker, I'd have a white T-shirt or singlet BOLDLY passing a message against the country's insecurity
