ibtommy: Useless quote. Detect koh, dictation nih. He shiuld not vivist our coach next time. Let him continue with his yeye commentary. And you? Be careful
You are funny guy
Don’t be surprised he’d be reappointed Super Eagles coach
Amotolongbo: - 14.JAN.2026 - To our brave Super Eagles,
You fought with your hearts, gave your all, and showed true courage and determination on the pitch. Though it wasn't meant to be this time, you have made every Nigerian proud.
Sometimes, even our best efforts don't bring the outcome we hope for, but the spirit, passion, and unity you displayed are what truly matter. You left everything on the field, and that is worthy of celebration.
As a token of appreciation for your remarkable journey and effort, l am still going ahead to fulfill the pledge of $500,000 USD. This is in recognition of your hard work, dedication, and the joy you have brought to our nation.
Keep your heads high, Super Eagles - the experience, lessons, and spirit will fuel even greater success next time. Nigeria will always be proud of you, and we believe in your future victories! Proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬
koreanlord: 😂😂it's always bad to be lousy as a player...same thing ruined BONIFACE,s chance with the super eagles... Always behaving like a comedian on and off the pitch...CHUKWUEZE should never play for Nigeria again...We want serious people in the team abeg😂😂😂
Someone raised a point. The person wrote, maybe he’s not happy he was brought in just before the game ends.
Coach should also have made those Subs earlier, even if it was last 15 minutes. Maybe there wouldn’t have been need for penalties
frog12: Osimhen was not clinical today. watching the game, we were not outclassed by the Moroccans. forget stats. Just look at the play. We gave them tough time. Our players just did not want to score. I dey suspect something don pass hands to the big man
Something bigger than flehst Nigerian billionaire promised them? Coach could have made changes earlier, when the lads were obviously tired
Wotowotoman: You wey dey insult Iwobi and Lookman steady say home based players better pass them. If they took it and missed na you go come out first to insult them. Come on gerrout of here
Shatapp Yes, I encourage having local players in the team, but never insulted Lookman. However,in that current situation , they were available. Why were they shying away? Maybe they should also shy away from the Super Eagles, so Nigeria use and develop their local players
frog12: something was fishy. dem allow the quacks to lose the penalties on purpose.
that way, you no go blame them. I hear dem wan Morocco as host to win the cup.
I wonder why Osimhen was subbed before end of normal time. Few minutes to go, he wanted to be subbed. If he wanted to play Penalties, he could have stayed for the remaining 1 to 2 minutes.
I understand if Iwobi agrees to shy away from Penalty. The young man don collect too much from Nigerians. Missing a Penalty could affect his confidence.
Sonnobax15: As una buy am the car so,hope say una go still help am fuel am?

Several teenage girls and young women reported missing from Ebonyi State have been found in Aguleri, Anambra State, following the uncovering of an alleged human trafficking and exploitation operation at a facility identified as Morning Star Brothel.
The discovery followed a complaint by a mother who had been searching for her daughter since October. Acting on information received, concerned individuals traced the missing girls to the location, where a number of teenagers and young women were found.
One of the girls, who said she was 15 years old, identified herself as Divine. She explained that she and her sister were brought to the location by a relative after being promised legitimate work. According to her account, they were told the job involved clothing-related activities and would enable them earn money to support their family.
Divine whose mother laid the complaint stated that after arriving in Anambra State, she and others realised that the work they had been promised was not what they were brought for.
She said they immediately requested to return home, but their requests were denied. Instead, they were allegedly compelled to remain at the location under threats and deception.
She further explained that the girls were told they had to repay the cost of their transportation before they could be allowed to leave. Several attempts by some of the girls to escape were reportedly unsuccessful, leaving them trapped for months.
Other girls at the location confirmed her account. When asked their ages, three of them stated they were 17, 16 and 15 years old. The girls also disclosed that they came from different parts of the country, including Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Nsukka and Niger states, suggesting a coordinated network targeting vulnerable young people.
According to the accounts, the girls were kept under strict control and subjected to conditions they described as degrading and traumatic.
The incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for stronger action against human trafficking and child exploitation. Civil society groups and concerned citizens have urged law enforcement agencies and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, to immediately investigate the matter, rescue all victims and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from security agencies regarding arrests or ongoing investigations. However, the case has intensified conversations about poverty, unemployment and the vulnerability of young girls to trafficking under the guise of employment opportunities.
When contacted, the Honourable Commissioner For Woman's Affairs in Ebonyi State, Barrister Felicia Nwakpuma said she has written to her Anambra counterpart in order to ascertain where the incident happened in Anambra State.

SmartPolician: I don't know why they are making former footballers who cannot speak good English commentators in football matches. Those guys should be managing clubs and national teams or heading football associations.
Leave commentary roles for sports journalists who can speak the language well because people often learn languages from those who have proficient command of them.
I watched analyses where JJ Olivia and Mikel were being guests, I was asking why ? JJ was a good player, but he can leave this part for others. Mikel was good in that session. Maybe because of accent. So I agree with you. However , if ex-footballer has undergone training in sports journalism etc. he can also do this. Seems they are copying the English players
dominique: Na France born full that Comoros national team. They will soon become a football powerhouse by the time more skilled players who couldn't make the french NT start to turn up.
Percentage of foreign born Nigerian players would have increased if the likes of Roost Ekong, Ola Aina, Maduka Okoye and Cyril Dressers had played in this year's tournament.
Big accolades to the likes of Egypt, Zambia and South Africa and for keeping it 100% home born and bred. That shows how low the japa mentality is in those countries

Nigeria would have been top 3 if this was last 2 competitions
Rohr will just collect money and invite any foreign-born player irrespective of the division the by play in Europe. Even some who only warm bench, he’d invite
The New Coach picked good players from available options, but I wish her scout for more talents locally.

doneyor: The Rivers political crisis is driven by the fallout between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, whom Wike accuses of betrayal. The man would have taken over from Obasanjo, or at least become a VP. He spent lots of money in that primaries, before Obj decided it would be Yaradua, and was scared of his political power should he be Yaradua’s Vice. So he decided to pick Goodluck. Still remember that Primaries
