Where is the water scheme for Orlu positioned? There is a Solar powered water scheme at Abara Okporo. Also the Oleme/Eluama Water scheme has been upgraded. I'm starring at these projects in the brochure. Will you say they are not there? Are you aware that the Imo State University teaching Hospital are on strike?I'm actually not aware of this. Do you know the cause of the strike? Is it Government related? For you to be clear, Other Governors are currently campaigning. |
With Jonathan sweeping most of the polls, it is only wise for us to accept the results and move on to the gubernatorial elections on the 26th. To me, I think this is actually a very important position that affects us directly. Let's start discussing according to our states. We can also start threads for various states. |
That parrot Ohakim is going to loose badly to Rochas. Not that I like Rochas anyway. Why would you say so? This was the same thing that was going thru my mind some weeks back but then last night, I met a pro Ohakim person in a bus who actually convinced me that this man has indeed worked for the state. Here were his strong points; 1. The introduction of Keke Napep to put an end to the to Okada operations which cause lots of death and accidents. 2. The 10000 Jobs offer of which one of my cousins benefited. 3. The issue that the dredging of the Nworie river is an NDDC project and is not funded by the state govt. 4. The construction and upgrade of so many roads within Owerri (at least where I am - Yar' adua drive). 5. The massive construction of the out ring road and flyovers to de-congest traffic in Owerri 6. The traffic lighting and street lighting all over owerri. I got curious on typing this message so I decided to check the official website of imo State government and what do you know, they have a good one with loads of information. From the website, I was able to gather the following information; From what I can see on the imo state government official website, Water schemes in all 27 LGAs Free health care in government health centres in all 27 LGA (for pregnant women and children aged 1 -5) Distribution of 27 Ambulances and lister Generators for operations in health centres for 27 LGAs Loads of security pick-ups for security, Construction of several roads, clearly stated in the brochure And some silent projects like + The construction of the New Government house office, which I see everyday on passing the area, + The procurement of transmitters and transmission vans for Orient FM, though I don't know why they're still not performing up to speed. + Construction of 50 Pit latrines across schools in the state (who says this is not an achievement). Trust me, for schools, the pits are better than the water systems. + Facilitation of the Graceland housing scheme around FHE Egebeada (still wondering why people haven't moved in yet) + Rehabilitation and construction of classroom block all over the state. + The construction of an Ultra Modern Shopping Mall at Aladinma (Why this area is not bubbling with activities still baffles me) Here's my assessment; + He's trying to develop the entire state at the same time, implementing projects for the 27 LGAs at the same time. + He has a good vision for the state. + He has tried. I hear so many bad things about the man but really I was told they are all rumours. So someone should tell me, why do people dislike this man so much and why should I not vote for him, come 26th? As you can see I took my hard earned time and internet to compose this so please only intelligent points should raised here. Some of my points are based from pictures on the Imo State Official Website so It will do you good to check it before attacking me. |
if i dont vote for ohakim can i get in (and come out alive) Grin ![]() |

Nice layout and the owner of the site has a nice concept too. My Review; 1. I tried editing a field after logging in but when I clicked on the field, all the initial text written disappeared. Leaving me a blank field. What if I just wanted to correct a simple spelling error. Does it mean I'll have to retype everything? Also it happened when I tried to edit my profile. It can drive someone who's just trying to change a character nuts 2. If I'm to send a message to admin and I mistakenly didn't fill the subject field, my entire message is lost. You need to enable some session to store my already typed text. 3. Lastly I think it will be cool if I can just click the username of a CD owner to PM him. That's just it from it. But really, I think the concept will sell. It's simple. Good work. |
@Dr. Otunba' You're even smart enough to answer correctly so why do you keep scamming people? You should be smarter than that. ![]() |

First, it was banning me for posting relevant, non-fraudulent information, now it's removing the name "my-school-comm" from every post and topic made on the site. It's obvious that nairaland doesn't want us anymore on this site. Yes, we refer people to read details of reports on our site, but do you think they'll totally leave nairaland? ![]() We were only trying to give users relevant information since nairaland doesn't care about the education sector. They leave all the fraudsters to make posts and scam innocent and desperate candidates visiting the site and they're here, fighting us from referring people to read details of our report on our website. Did you (nairaland) want to take all the credit for such information. Selfish!!! ![]() I don't care if the moderators ban all our accounts from posting on nairaland, we will survive and treat our own visitors with care. Henceforth, new information coming out from my-school-comm site will no longer be posted on nairaland. So if you still need information on any School or the Education sector in Nigerian (which is where we specialize), you know where to go. Have a great day and see you at the top. |
