I understand, but Nigerians shouldn't be doing that anymore. We have got a bad name already, and we all know the after effect of it. It's affecting innocent Nigerians who wants to make money online.

My point is wether the guy was greedy or there are some scams by Americans on NP, that shouldn't be a reason to also scam people.

If the highest bid is up to $500 and the reserve is not met, you can instruct namejet to sell to the highest bidder on your behalf Provided the highest bidder is still willing to pick up. Note, the highest bid on your name must not be less than $500.
According to namejet, it is not what they do all the time cos it can affect the bidding war. Bidders will start bidding below reserve if the they are being lured to buy the name after the auction has ended.
There was a time my name ended @ $501. Namejet reached out to the highest bidder but unfortunately he didn't respond.
